The vivo T1 5G at first glance, whether by its looks or spec sheet, seems to be your typical mid-ranger. It has a beautiful design, a nice set of cameras, and a powerful chipset. However, these are common characteristics of smartphones nowadays. However, vivo took an effort to give it software features normally found in “gaming” smartphones. This will not just help the device perform well, but it will also provide its users with a good gaming experience.

Vivo T1 smartphone is available in 4 different variants with different names such as Vivo T1 China, Vivo T1 India, Vivo T1 Snapdragon 778G and Vivo T1 Snapdragon 680. The main difference in the Vivo T1 Snapdragon model is 4G and 5G support, but the other features look similar. For the Vivo T1 China and India variant, we have a separate section definitely take a look.

When it comes to smartphones below Rs 20,000 in India, the market is crowded. It can be argued that India is the most competitive market for such devices and in the last seven years, Xiaomi has held the segment with a vice-like grip. Vivo’s T1 5G challenges this ascendency in a very thoughtful way. The phone does certain things that Xiaomi’s recent phones haven’t managed — superlative performance, epic battery life, and good cameras. Sure, Vivo needs to work more on the cameras and the build quality of its phones by adding things like splash-resistance and Gorilla Glass, but the fundamentals are right here with clean software. This is certainly a contender for anyone who wants a fast, affordable phone or even for someone looking for a great secondary phone. My recommendation is to steer clear away from the base level 4GB RAM model as that could run into performance issues, though with either of the other models you should be golden.

Vivo has been expanding its budget segment portfolio in India since the new year began and was the first OEM to launch a smartphone in India in 2022. The brand recently launched the Vivo T1 at Rs 15,990 for the base model which comes with the Snapdragon 695 which is fairly a new processor that was revealed in late 2021. We also have the Moto G71 and the Realme 9 Pro that are powered by this very same SoC and are also priced similarly. So let’s find out if the Vivo T1 is worth your money or its competition is. Design-wise, the Vivo T1 looks ordinary with triple cameras at the rear housed inside a rectangular camera module. The device has flat sides and a plastic body which doesn’t feel very premium when you hold it. The black variant we got has a shiny glittery back panel. Then there’s a bottom-firing single speaker that sounds average but gets surprisingly loud.

Okay, this brings me to the end of my review of the Vivo T1 5G. So, should you buy this phone? Frankly speaking, I am hesitant to say a direct Yes! And I have some reasons for saying that. Yep, it has a fairly capable chipset, that offers balanced performance and the camera can pull off great photos—something I believe most mid-range phones lack. But that’s basically where the edge of T1 comes to an end. Despite having a 120Hz display, it isn’t fully optimized, the ultra-wide sensor is missing from the camera stack, and while being a 5G focused device, it even lacks a sufficient amount of 5G bands. The device also has an old dewdrop notch that certainly looks out of place in 2022. And the company hasn’t even included a stereo speaker setup to enhance the multimedia experience. So, putting these pros and cons side-by-side on a scale, I definitely do not need to tell which side has the upper hand. For a similar price, I believe Realme 9 Pro 5G should be a better value for money, as it has a higher number of 5G bands—at least higher than Vivo T1;

The vivo T1 5G looks wonderful, glows in the sunlight, and comes in a slim form factor. Aside from its design, it equips a fast Snapdragon 695 processor, a 120 Hz display, and a 50 MP camera. Overall, vivo T1 5G has a great package to offer given the price, the price starts at ₹15,990 for its base variant i.e. 4 GB RAM and 128 GB stoarge.

The Vivo T1 makes a strong proposition considering the starting price of Rs 15,990. Plus, the 6GB RAM version only costs Rs 1000 more than the base version, so this is very carefully priced. It will compete against the Realme 9 Pro (starting at Rs 17,990) which also has the same processor as the T1. Another competitor will be the Redmi Note 11S (starting at Rs 15,499). The Vivo T1 has some good points in its favour. The display and performance are strong points, the camera is not too bad, and the battery size is adequate. The device can handle some of the resource-heavy games, though if you really start pushing it, you can see the phone struggle. But again, this is competing in the Rs 20,000 segment, so to expect a flawless performance here would be too much.

Vivo’s new T series smartphones are aimed straight at Generation Z users. Such users, according to Vivo, seek well-designed gadgets with good specs for the price. And that is why Vivo T1 5G has a 120Hz refresh rate display, a 50MP high-resolution camera, and the most latest Android operating system. It is backed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor which is a strong performer, with no lag or stuttering even when multiple apps are open at the same time. Users can also virtually increase the RAM on the smartphone by up to 4GB, which helps to improve its overall performance. The main 50MP sensor’s picture quality is good in daylight or well-lit environments. The phone features a 5,000 mAh battery capacity and can fast-charge at 18W. The Vivo T1 5G delivers decent battery life, performance, and is partnered with a solid set of cameras for a base variant pricing of Rs 15,990. Despite the company’s commendable effort, the smartphone still has a lot of room for improvement. So, is the Vivo T1 5G the right phone for you? Let’s find out.

The Vivo T1 5G gets a few things right, however, it has a lot of scope for improvement in display, camera and a few other segments. The company has clearly cut down several features just to accommodate the Snapdragon 695 chipset. Though, it is not a bad option, but the competition does seem to have an edge over it. It faces stiff rivalry from Redmi Note 11S and Realme 8, all of which boast of superior display, cameras and charging speeds.

The Vivo T1 5G is the first smartphone in the new T-series aimed at Gen Z buyers. Vivo has focused on sought-after specifications such as a powerful SoC, 5G, a 120Hz refresh rate display, and a big battery. However, in order to deliver these at an aggressive price, some compromises have been made, such as the dewdrop notch that looks dated, limited 5G band support, no ultra-wide-angle camera, and only 18W charging. The entry-level 4GB RAM variant of the Vivo T1 5G also misses out on some camera features, which potential buyers should be aware of. While some of these factors could make the Vivo T1 5G less appealing for some buyers, the pricing will still make sense for many others. If you want to consider alternatives, the Moto G71 5G (Review), Realme 8s 5G (Review), and Redmi Note 11T 5G (Review) are all worth considering.

The Vivo T1 5G starts at Rs 15,990 for the 4GB RAM variant and for the price, gets a couple of things right. The smartphone scores top marks in the design department and the handset is a capable performer too. Furthermore, I had no complaints about the phone’s battery backup either. That said, the T1 5G’s display isn’t without its faults and the smartphone’s audio setup is nothing to write home about either. Furthermore, while the phone can click good-looking photos during the day, at night, the quality of the shots takes a steep dip. Correspondingly, while I commend Vivo for coming out with a new-age smartphone series, the T1 5G has a lot of room for improvement. Be that as it may, if you were on the lookout for a stylish phone with a fantastic selfie camera, you should definitely consider the T1 5G. For everyone else, the market has plenty of other well-rounded devices to offer.

The Vivo T1 tries to do a lot of things by offering features like a high refresh rate display, Snapdragon 600-series chipset, multiple cameras and a high-capacity battery to boot, all under Rs 20,000. But we can’t ignore the fact that it comes as a downside when you look closely at these features. The display uses an LCD panel, the ultra-wide sensor is missing from the camera stack and the phone takes aeons to fully charge.

The Vivo T1 5G runs Funtouch OS 12 which is based on Android 12 . The interface feels fresh and there are some new features. I did find a lot of preinstalled apps on the device including Moj, Josh, MX Takatak, Cred, Share Chat, and Facebook. You can uninstall them to free up some storage space if needed. With the T1 5G, Vivo has delivered a different design and a fairly good processor. The company thinks this will appeal to the Gen Z consumer shopping in this price range, particularly for its performance. The processor and 120Hz refresh rate could be good for gaming, but this phone lacks a wide-angle camera, its notch looks dated, and charging isn't as quick as it can be on other phones, so this isn't necessarily an all-rounder. The sub-Rs.20,000 price segment is becoming a hotspot for budget 5G smartphones, and the Vivo T1 5G will face some feature-rich competition. Some of its direct competitors are the Moto G71 5G and the Redmi Note 11T 5G (Review). These phones offer good performance for the price and have the potential to sway buyers in their direction.

With its starting price of Rs 15,999 for the 4 GB/ 128 GB version, the Vivo T1 5G may be setting itself up for a tough battle. Yes, the phone comes with a new processor– the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 (the performance of which is yet to be tested, though) and Android 12 out of the box, but other than that, it does not have any major strong specs card up its sleeve. In fact, most of its specs can be mentioned with a “but.” It comes with a tall 6.58-inch full HD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, but it is an LCD display, not an AMOLED one. It has a triple camera arrangement, but the supporting cameras are merely 2 megapixels each. Then comes the 5,000 mAh battery, which is large, but does not bring as fast charging support as others bring in this category. The likes of the Redmi Note 11 series, the Realme 8 series, the Poco X3 and X3 Pro and the Motorola Moto G71 all come with similar or even better specs in some departments and are in the same price zone. Will the Vivo T1 5G be able to survive in this sea of competitive sharks?

Both the Vivo T1 and T1x models have their own flaws and strengths. Still, suppose you are looking for a decent mid-range phone that offers exceptional features. In that case, the Vivo T1 is a great choice that you should consider because it offers remarkable processing powers, proper camera setup, advanced display features, and much more things that are hard to find in the mid-range 5G market. On the other hand, the Vivo T1x smartphone is a valuable choice with similar features, but few corners are cut to keep the price tag low. Even so, the phone feels very much in terms of price and specs. At the same time, if we have to recommend one of these, Vivo T1 is undoubtedly the best option you can find. Vivo T1x is no doubt a good phone under 12k. With the Snapdragon 680 chipset and eye-catching design, it’s aimed at Gen Z users in the budget category. On top of that, you get a beefy battery pack which gives a nice battery backup along with a decent 50MP primary camera. However, there are some shortcomings which cannot be overlooked. The phone comes packed with bloatware, charges very slow and is definitely not a gaming phone. So, if those were your priorities, you should look somewhere else. All in all, if you are not into gaming, the Vivo T1x might be a good option for you. The device packs decent performance and features for the price.

With the introduction of the vanilla T1 and T1x, it seems vivo is serious about making a dent in the mobile gaming segment. Both the T1 and T1x are solid devices that are positioned for mid-range and entry-level gaming without heavily skimping on other features. As for the vivo T1x 4G, we’re quite surprised how the company managed to impress us with this budget gaming package for sub-P9000 pricing. Who would have thought that you would find a mid-range Snapdragon 680 SoC on an entry-level device? Definitely not! Throw in an extendable RAM and large battery on an efficient chipset, and voila! The vivo T1x 4G makes it more compelling to buy than to spend extra bucks on those more expensive alternatives that present the same performance.

The Vivo T1 Pro is a great combination of software, performance, camera quality, and battery life. You are getting almost everything, which is necessary for the mid-range segment phones. Although, there’s no denying that the camera quality is slightly downgraded and the phone could have better sound output support. Despite all of this, the Vivo T1 Pro is worth your money if you are looking for a decent midrange phone that has a unique design, fast charging, a powerful processor, and more screen time. On the other hand, if you are in search of an alternative to this phone, we highly suggest you check out the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G. The Vivo T1 Pro 5G offers great value for the money with some areas left for improvement. The good thing is, there is not one area where it falters terribly, be it the camera, gaming or the performance. Under the price of Rs 25,000, you get a fast enough phone to handle your day-to-day tasks with ease. The primary camera performs well in daylight conditions and the same can be said about the other sensors as well. The low-light images are not as great. The display is good but you would terribly miss a punch-hole cutout because the Vivo T1 Pro 5G has a water drop notch. The phone also does not have a 3.5mm jack, which can be a bummer if you do not use wireless earbuds. It comes with a mono speaker instead of a stereo speaker, so you will also have to make a little compromise there. Besides a few areas of improvement, overall, the Vivo T1 Pro 5G is a dependable phone with a powerful chipset to support its day-to-day operations at a fairly affordable price tag.

Overall, there is nothing to dislike about the Vivo T1 Pro 5G. It could have been better on a few aspects like 90Hz refresh rate and selfie camera, however, these aren’t total disappointments. It delivers smooth, consistent and energy efficient performance. This time, I would say, Vivo hasn’t compromised on camera or display or other features given its price point. It's a future ready smart phone along with decent performance, display quality and camera features. Though there are several competitors available in the market from iQOO Z6 Pro to Oppo F21 Pro, Redmi Note 11 Pro plus and others, but if you’re looking for a good looking 5G phone with decent camera features, battery backup and powerful, then this new addition to Vivo T series can surely be a top choice under Rs. 25000.

The Vivo T2 5G is a good competitor in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment and will have a tough time competing with smartphones such as the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G and Redmi Note 12 5G. The smartphone is a balanced offering for college-goers and those who are looking to spend less for a display and battery-oriented smartphone. The camera is good and there's not much to complain about. The bloatware and the lack of a good speaker could be a deal-breaker for some.

There’s little to dislike about the Vivo T2 5G. The Rs 18,999 price tag makes it a good competitor in its segment and a fantastic option for those looking for a well-balanced smartphone. The software, while a little bloated, will lure stock Android enthusiasts. The only bummer is the lack of an ultrawide camera.

The Vivo T2 competes with several smartphones in the segment, such as OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite (review), Moto G73 (review), Redmi Note 12 (review), and iQOO Z7 (review). These score over the Vivo smartphone in some aspects. However, the T2 is a great option, lacking mainly in terms of audio output and an ultra-wide camera. The Moto G73 5G does offer stereo speakers and an ultra-wide shooter, but lacks the richness of an AMOLED panel. The Vivo T2 is selling in India starting at Rs 18,999 for the 6GB RAM variant, while the top-end 8GB RAM option costs Rs 20,999. You can purchase the device via the company’s official website and Flipkart across the country.

The sub-Rs. 20,000 price tag for the base variant makes the Vivo T2 5G a good competitor in its segment. The smartphone does not compromise much on performance for its class and things such as the bright AMOLED display, 3.5mm headphone port, long battery backup, and fast charging makes T2 5G an ideal smartphone for content consumption for this budget. The rear camera setup is good and it can capture some decent looking shots in day and at night. The selfie camera also manages suitable quality photos for Instagram, in good lighting conditions. However, I missed an ultra-wide camera in the setup. Some of the things that put the T2 5G a step behind the competition is the lack of stereo speakers. Overall, the Vivo T2 5G is a good option in this price range, if you don't mind the bloated nature of Funtouch OS.

The Vivo T2 is a decent smartphone for average users. It is for those who are a fan of Vivo phones and need a basic device for calling, texting and social networking. The camera works fine in daylight and it can deliver some attractive shots too. The battery is well-optimised and people get less than a day's battery life with basic usage. People who want a more performance-oriented phone can consider other options, including the iQOO Z7.

The Vivo T2 is a complete package if you are looking for a fabulous mid-range phone. It has a faster refresh rate display to increase the UI experience, while the AMOLED panel grants vibrant colors. Aside from this, the phone also has a powerful processor with the latest android and enough storage to support your daily activities. Though, it might not have the best camera in the same price range. Anyway, the long-lasting battery life and fast charging overcome those shortcomings easily. Overall, if the device is available in your country, you can purchase this device right away. It is really hard to find a substitute for this smartphone. The Vivo T2x smartphone arrives with a pretty average design layout. But we won’t recommend you judge this phone by its looks, since the hardware and software package of this smartphone will change your perspective in a hassle-free manner. You are getting a powerful chipset with a heavily customized interface for the users. Moreover, the phone grants beautiful camera results, a decent viewing experience, and long-lasting battery life. From this, you might get a rough idea about this phone, and the device comes at a pretty tempting price in the mid-range segment. Still, there’s no clue regarding the global release, while there’s a high chance that the phone will release this phone by rebranding it as a new phone. So we have to wait and watch. If you are looking for alternative options, you can consider Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed for better specs and a decent price range. The Vivo T3 5G is a reliable phone to buy for under Rs 20,000. It gets many things right, such as a bright AMOLED display, a pretty design, and a better battery life compared to its predecessor. But the two reasons you should consider buying the phone are the chipset, which is among the fastest you’ll get in this price range right now and the 50MP sensor, which delivers impressive photos in daylight. However, Vivo is only promising two major software upgrades, which puts it behind some rivals in this segment like the Realme Narzo 70 Pro (review) that are offering 3 years of OS updates. Additionally, Funtouch OS does come with a bunch of pre-installed apps out of the box that may not appeal to you. And while the Vivo T3’s battery and charging are decent, the Tecno POVA 6 Pro (review) is objectively better in both aspects.

If you are looking for a phone that can last all day and offers excellent performance under Rs.15,000, the Vivo T3x 5G is a good choice. It has a large display, blazing-fast performance, unique design and a massive battery with quick charging support. Vivo T3 Pro is a gaming and battery powerhouse phone in the mid-range price range. Its battery performs very well on normal use, even delivering seven to eight hours of battery life during gameplay. Its 80W fast charging makes it more extraordinary compared to others. While its camera is impressive in daylight, it does not perform well in slightly dull lighting. Overall, its performance is good. Moreover, during long gaming sessions, the device does not heat up. Its display supports HDR content and has a 120Hz refresh rate, so the display segment is okay. The Vivo T3 Pro 5G is a well-rounded smartphone that delivers a commendable experience at a mid-range price. With a sleek design, vibrant display, strong performance, and impressive battery life, it ticks many of the boxes for what consumers look for in a modern smartphone. The Vivo T3 Ultra might come with a price tag that is premium mid-segment, but its performance screams “budget flagship.” The phone delivers a very good display, a good main camera, a very good selfie camera, and a large battery, topped off with a processor that one generally sees in much more expensive devices. Yes, the design is an out-and-out V series duplicate, and we would have liked faster storage and an actually useful secondary camera on the back, but none of those shortcomings even come close to souring the amazing deal the Vivo T3 Ultra is. It makes very few compromises while delivering outstanding performance at the price it charges. This is a performance-oriented smartphone targeted towards gamers, so it has a flagship-level chipset that can play games at high graphical fidelity and higher framerates.
