70% Lenovo Yoga 7i (2023) review: This big, comfy 16-inch convertible is built to cruise
Quelle: Tom's Guide Englisch EN→DE
While the Lenovo Yoga 7i fits the budget niche, it feels like a departure from the usual Yoga fare. A folding, convertible 2-in-1 laptop makes more sense in a smaller size because a 16-inch tablet feels clumsy, even in my large hands. If you're going to deal with the unwieldy weight of a 16-inch machine, I feel like it should be packing hardware to match that scale. If you like the Yoga line, conceptually, and need something with a 16-inch screen, I'd advise looking further up the lineup: the highest end Yoga 7i sports a Core i7-1360P processor, which will get you a bit more mileage. Better still, take a look at the 14-inch Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 8 for a premium Yoga experience in a size that makes a little more sense.

Best Bang-for-Buck 2-in-1 Laptop ???? 14 Hours of Battery Life! // Lenovo Yoga 7i
Quelle: Ben G Kaiser Englisch
The Lenovo Yoga 7i Gen 8, a 16-inch laptop, packs an Intel Core i7-1355U processor, 16GB RAM, and over 14 hours of battery life. It's akin to the Yoga 9i in robustness, boasting an aluminum chassis with rounded edges for a secure grip. While its Full HD display suits daily use, creators might prefer an upgrade for precise colors. The laptop's two-in-one design and lightweight build, even in a 16-inch format (also available in 14-inch), impress. Its performance rivals costlier counterparts, excelling in tasks like photo and video editing with quick export times and smooth playback in Premiere Pro. Affordable, efficient, and long-lasting, the Yoga 7i strikes a balance between price, durability, and productivity.

Quelle: CNet Englisch EN→DE
Budget two-in-one shoppers will find much to like in the Yoga 7i 16, from its sturdy, all-metal chassis and roomy display to its peppy performance and long-lasting battery. We suggest choosing a model with a higher-resolution display, however, since it's a small price to pay for crisp text. We'd also recommend the impressively lightweight LG Gram 16 2-in-1 for anyone looking for a big-screen convertible. It's a little more money, but you get a better display and battery life that's just under 13 hours.

Lenovo Yoga 7i 16 Gen 8 Review: More Screen For Less
Quelle: On MSFT Englisch EN→DE
At the end of the day, the 7i is barely considered a spec bump upgrade with performance remaining relatively similar to its previous model and only in certain situations, slightly better than some of its competitors. Lenovo skimped on screen specs to reach a price point many customers will appreciate in the midst of an inflationary economy. When compared to other devices in the same category, the 7i 16 tends to come in $200 to 300 dollars cheaper in most configurations and offer up a decently calibrated, and wide 16:10 aspect ratio screen that can double as consumption device on the go. If weight, and bleeding edge screen tech aren’t on your shopping bingo card, the Lenovo 7i 16 could serve as your next big screen workstation.

70% Lenovo Yoga 7i (Gen 8) review — Solid 2-in-1 with a dreadful display
Quelle: Laptop Mag Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo Yoga 7i is a solid 2-in-1 laptop with leading productivity performance, swift SSD metrics and a killer speaker system wrapped up in a gorgeous but minimalistic aluminum exterior. With our model priced at $1,000, you won’t be disappointed by its capabilities. Decent performance tends to compromise power efficiency, but its satisfactory metrics failed to hinder its long-lasting battery life. But this otherwise impressive laptop suffers from an extraordinarily dismal display. I would have stepped away from our testing less critical if the screen was at an acceptable level of mediocrity, but it’s exceptionally colorless and its peak brightness won’t stand up against a sliver of sunlight. For a similar 16-inch 2-in-1 laptop with a superior display, we recommend the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360. Otherwise, the Yoga 7i is a good pick for those willing to sacrifice color depth and brightness for a less expensive product.

We're fans of 14-inch and smaller convertibles, but 16-inch models are bound to be unwieldy, and not even Lenovo's unbeatable 2-in-1 expertise can change that. The Yoga 7i 16 Gen 8 fulfills its purpose with impressive material design, decent performance, and astounding battery life, However, we're not thrilled with its display or keyboard, and we're disappointed that Best Buy versions like ours don't come with a pen for sketching and scribbling on the big screen. It's certainly worth a look if you can't afford an HP Spectre x360 16, but the Yoga 7i 16 Gen 8 falls short of Editors' Choice consideration.

Out of all the Lenovo Yoga laptops out there, there’s one that stands apart from the rest: the 7i 16. The 2023 convertible laptop delivers strong performance and a spacious, bright display with Dolby Vision support. It also checks off a lot of other boxes as far as features go. The fingerprint reader is easy to use for secure login and identification, there’s an included stylus, and it comes loaded with 16GB of fast DDR5 memory. This machine has a lot to offer buyers.

Here you also choose other things, such as enabling or blocking the webcam and microphone, how function keys work, and the performance and cooling level—from performance mode with a full fan, which isn’t much, to completely silent with limited processor load. You can then switch between the cooling modes with a keyboard shortcut.

The 2-in-1 laptop that I recommend for college juggles work and play seamlessly
Quelle: Zdnet.com Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo Yoga 7i has its quirks, but it's part of a solid line of devices on a noble mission: reimagining the laptop experience. The combination of the touchscreen and flexible configurations invites the user to free themselves from the confines of a single form factor, and its sturdy, high-end build supports all the physical bending, adjusting, and positioning. I recommend the Yoga 7i for users who want a powerful laptop but also have use for a tablet. In this sense, the Yoga 7i offers the best of both worlds.

72% Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 16-inch (2024) review: A MacBook user gives Windows a whirl
Quelle: Mashable Englisch EN→DE
This is a tough question to answer because it really depends on what you want and need from a laptop. Gamers can and should look elsewhere, given the specs. People who need to do intense video editing or 3D modeling can probably do better, as well. The Yoga 7i is specced and priced for people who work on the computer but don’t work like that on the computer, if you catch my drift. If you need a bulky, sturdy machine for streaming things and answering emails, you can certainly do worse. The versatility and size of the display helps matters, as the Yoga 7i can (in a pinch) be an entertainment machine, too. But it’s not especially portable or remarkable in any other way. Still, it’s not as expensive as a MacBook and has a way more functional keyboard, if nothing else.

60% Lenovo Yoga 7i 16 Gen 9 Review
Quelle: PC Mag Englisch EN→DE
A 16-inch laptop is a desktop-PC alternative (commonly called a desktop replacement) by definition, so we've always been bemused by 16-inch convertibles: They're too bulky and heavy for use as tablets, so they spend most of their time in laptop mode, perhaps occasionally propped up for a presentation or folded flat on a desk for marking up a document with a stylus. Lenovo's Yoga 7i 16 Gen 9 (starts at $818.10; $899.99 as tested) is a big-screen 2-in-1 that updates last year's model with Intel's new Core Ultra silicon under the hood and Microsoft's new Copilot key on the keyboard. It's about as fine as an affordable large convertible gets, but it's more of a niche player than a mainstream option.

70% Lenovo Yoga 7i Gen 9 review: Here for a good time — and a long time
Quelle: Laptop Mag Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo Yoga 7i Gen 9 succeeds in some areas but falls flat in others. It’s a capable 2-in-1 with a battery that can last a full day, loud top-firing speakers, and a roomy touchpad. However, a dull display and mixed results on our performance tests make the Yoga 7i a hit-or-miss depending on individual users’ preferences and needs. The Yoga 7i can handle basic daily tasks like word processing and web browsing fine. However, if you are looking for a laptop for graphic design, photo editing, or any graphics-intensive task, you will be better off with the similarly priced Lenovo Slim 7i or Acer Swift Go 14. 78% Lenovo Yoga 7i review: A long-lasting 2-in-1 with tradeoffs
Quelle: PC World Englisch EN→DE
Lenovo has put together a curious package in the 16-inch Yoga 7i (16IML9). It’s a well built piece of hardware, but it’s not built around great parts. With a lackluster display and unsatisfying keyboard, the ways you’ll actually interact with the laptop don’t meet the same standard of quality that the chassis brings to the table. You’ll still find a large footprint for productivity in the 16-inch display, and you won’t suffer from an overly heavy machine. Performance is decent for office tasks, and the battery life is more than respectable in that scenario. Having the option to use a keyboard and trackpad, a touchscreen, or a stylus also delivers flexibility that may benefit users with a variety of workflows who want one device to help with all of them. There are better laptops to go for if you have more straightforward computing needs, but if your work calls for Lenovo’s flipping trick, the Yoga 7i is a fairly sensible option at $900.

Quelle: CNet Englisch EN→DE
Yes, the Yoga 7 16 Gen 9 is a good choice if you are shopping for a two-in-one laptop and don't want to spend a lot on it. It offers competitive performance and long battery life, but it's better as a secondary laptop that you'll use for entertainment -- watching shows and movies, browsing the web and playing casual tablet games -- than a primary computer because its display resolution is a notch below where it needs to be for a 16-inch screen. In this case, the HP Envy x360 16 is worth the added money for its higher-resolution OLED display.

Quelle: PC Mag Englisch EN→DE
Like other bulky and heavy 16-inch convertibles, the Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 Gen 9 is a niche product. It's stylish enough and offers decent input devices and battery life, but its screen needs better color coverage and the base model's 8GB of memory is inadequate. The Intel-based Yoga 7i, which offers 16GB of RAM, Thunderbolt 4 support, and longer battery life for similar money, is a better option. However, we don’t find convertible features compelling on a device of this size. For most people, a non-convertible desktop replacement like the Acer Swift Go 16 or a more portable model such as the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED Touch (UM3406) is a better option.

1.49 kg:

Most smartphones and only a few tablets fall into this weight category. Only a few smartphones are heavier and should rather be considered tablets.

2.16 kg:
