Wenn nicht auf die Umgebung Rücksicht genommen werden muss, kann der Klang auch über die Lautsprecher und den Subwoofer ertönen. Die Tastatur fühlt sich sehr gut an, nun bin ich auch kein vielschreiber aber sie hat nen schönen weichen Druckpunkt. Das Touchpad bildet eine einheit mit dem Gehäuse und ist vom Anfassen her schön zu bedienen. Sehr schön ist auch, sobald eine Maus per USB oder Bluetooth angeschlossen wird schaltet sich das Touchpad aus. Kleines Highlite ist natürlich die Beleuchtung der Tastatur die das bedienen in der Dunkelheit natürlich ungemein erleichtert. (Und man kann schön auf dicke Hose machen damit). Es ist mein erstes DELL Notebook und ich muss sagen Top verarbeitung, Top Qualität super Nette Telefon und Chat kontakte. Mein nächstes Notebook als Desktopersatz wird auch ein Dell werden.

Mit Leichtigkeit rutscht auch der Dell Studio 15 in einen guten Wertungsbereich. Preislich im Mittelfeld angesiedelt erfüllt er die Multimedia-Wünsche der Benutzer. Zwar schnitt der 17-Zoll-Bruder besser ab, schlägt aber mit 200 Euro tiefer in den Geldbeutel ein. Die Verarbeitung gibt sich im Wesentlichen gut. Zwar gibt die Tastatur schon bei leichtem Druck nach, für kurze Schreibarbeiten ist sie jedoch zu haben. Display- und Scharnierverarbeitung hingegen lassen bis auf die schwergängige Art keine Negativpunkte zu.

The Studio 15 we received comes to a total of Rs. 48,700 with delivery. This machine isn't ergonomically the best out there. It's got souped up specs (except for the graphics chip) inside, enclosed in a what can be called in today's day and age a 'bulky' body. The main incentive to buy a Studio 15 is the option to upgrade to a Full HD screen and a Blu-ray drive. Otherwise for Rs. 50,000 you get the HP Pavilion DV6-3057tx, which comes with a higher-power  ATI Radeon 5650 chip. It has a Core i3 processor (although clocked at a similar 2.4 GHz speed, but no Turbo boost). But on the good side, it comes with that chiclet keyboard we like. Then there's also the Asus N61J, which has a potent NVIDIA GT325M graphics chip, and also pulls extra tricks like auto-graphics switching (NVIDIA Optimus) to save battery life, and USB 3.0 support. If you want something cheaper, there's always the Acer Aspire 5740G with the same Radeon 5650 graphics chip for a whole Rs. 10,000 less. The Studio 15 is a decent laptop overall, but there's nothing that stands out for us to go out and hoot about it. Especially after the Inspiron line drawing so close to the Studio, there's not much different between the two. The Studio series is in need of a refresh. If you're just looking for a typical big screened laptop to do your office work,  the Inspiron 15R should do just fine.

It's a feature that few can offer and given you can have it and not sacrifice too much in terms of specification or price over competing models, it helps elevate the Studio 15 to an award.

The pre-configured model we tested suffered from weak integrated graphics that ruined an otherwise enjoyable experience, but configurations with dedicated graphics are available from Dell.com.

When we talk about performances of Dell Studio 1535 we must say that they have two faces. Better one shows itself while using CPU intensive applications because of newest Intel Core 2 Duo at 2.1GHz. Integrated graphics can be used for playing older games but you can forget on playing any of newer game releases. There are models equipped with ATi 3450 graphics card but even this card is not suitable for newest games, it performs much better than Intel X3100. Good news is that Studio 1535 has 2GB of RAM.

Die vorliegende Kombination wusste jedenfalls zu gefallen. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut und die Tastatur erwies sich als angenehmes Eingabegerät. Das Display war angenehm hell und hoch aufgelöst. Je nach Lichteinfall und Blickwinkel können die Spiegelungen aber stören. Leistung war jederzeit in ausreichendem Maße vorhanden, und auch an den Batterielaufzeiten gab es eigentlich nichts auszusetzen.

However, the design, particularly the keyboard, is one of the most ergonomically sound we’ve tested in awhile, and the long battery life means you can use it in various rooms of the house without having to worry about plugging it back in right away. We would still direct gamers toward the $899 ASUS N61Jv-A2, but everyone else—shoppers on a budget and anyone who craves long battery life and a comfortable keyboard—should consider the Studio 15.

Das Studio 1558 hat einige gute bis sehr gute Ansätze. Die Laufzeit des optionalen 9 Zellen Akkus weis insbesondere bei anspruchsloseren Anwendungen zu gefallen. Das FullHD-Display erfreut mit seiner tollen Bildqualität in Form eines knackigen Kontrasts und einer hohen Helligkeit. Des Weiteren überzeugen die gute Verarbeitung und das schicke Design mit dem farbigen Displaydeckel und der weißen Tastaturbeleuchtung (jeweils optional). Zudem ist die Anschlussausstattung relativ üppig, der Lautsprecherklang respektabel und die Anwendungsgeschwindigkeit ist dank des starken Core i5 520M mehr als gelungen.

Dell: Dell ist ein 1984 gegründeter US-amerikanischer Hersteller (Sitz Texas) von Computer-Hardware und gehört zu den grössten internationalen Herstellern sowohl in Bezug auf Marktanteile als auch hinsichtlich Notebook-Modellen. Die Produktpalette umfasst unter anderem Desktops, Notebooks, Speichersysteme, Monitore, Server, Drucker, Unterhaltungselektronik und Peripheriegeräte. Dell bietet Laptops an, die ich für verschiedene Einsatzbereiche eignen, z. B. Business-Laptops, Gaming-Laptops, Ultra-Portables und Workstations. Die Business-Notebooks von Dell aus den Latitude- und Precision-Serien sind eine Option für professionelle Anwender und Unternehmen.

2023 hatte Dell einen ungefähren Marktanteil von 17% am weltweiten PC-Absatz und war damit die Nummer 3 nach Lenovo und HP.

Für Gaming-Enthusiasten ist die Marke Alienware von Dell für Gaming-Notebooks vorgesehen.

Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen.  Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450: Nachfolger der HD 2400 Grafikkarte und dank 55nm Prozess wahrscheinlich schneller getaktet und daher mit geringfügig besserer Leistung. Für anspruchslose Gelegenheitsspieler wahrscheinlich geeignet. Unterstützt DirectX 10.1 Effekte (jedoch ist die Karte dafür zu langsam) und Avivo Videofunktionen (zur Entlastung der CPU z.B. bei HD Videos).

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: Im GM45, GS45 und GE45 Chipsatz (Montevina Plattform) integrierte shared Memory Grafikkarte von Intel. Durch höhere Taktung und mehr Shader ist sie deutlich schneller als die X3100, jedoch immer noch nicht für Spieler empfehlenswert. Kann HD-Videos (AVC/VC2/MPEG2) dekodieren und so die CPU entlasten.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570: Die HD 4570 bietet deutlich weniger Shader als die HD 4650 und ist dadurch deutlich langsamer. Laut AMD verfügt sie nur über einen 64 Bit Speicherbus, manche GPU-Z Versionen geben jedoch fälschlich einen 128 Bit Bus an. Je nach verwendeten Speicher (DDR2 bis GDDR3) deutlich langsamer. Technisch ähnlich zu der Desktop 4550. Avivo HD 

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) HD Graphics: Intel HD Graphics oder GMA HD genannte onboard Grafikkarte welche im Package der Core i3/i5/i7 Arrandale Dual-Core Prozessoren untergebracht wird. Je nach Prozessormodell maximal mit 500 bis 766 MHz getaktet (Turbo Boost). Von Lenovo anscheinend auch GMA5700MHD genannt. Die gleichgenannte Intel HD Graphics Prozessorgrafik in den Sandy Bridge Prozessoren basiert auf einer neueren Architektur.

3D Spiele sind auf diesen Vertretern nur in Ausnahmen spielbar, grundsätzlich sind die Grafiklösungen hierfür jedoch nicht geeignet. Office Programme und Internet surfen dürfte jedoch ohne Problem möglich sein.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100: Integrierte shared Memory Grafikkarte von Intel, die im 965GM und GL960 Chipsatz eingebaut ist. Dank voll programmierbarer Pipeline DX 10 fähig (mit Treibern seit 15.9.0.1472). Gute Performance für eine integrierte Grafikkarte, jedoch trotzdem kaum spielefähig.

Intel Core 2 Duo: Core Duo Nachfolger mit längerer Pipeline und 5-20% Geschwindigkeitszuwachs bei 0.5 - 3 Watt mehr Stromverbrauch.

Der Notebook Core 2 Duo ist baugleich mit den Desktop Core 2 Duo Prozessoren, jedoch werden die Notebook-Prozessoren mit niedrigeren Spannungen und geringerem Frontsidebus Takt betrieben. Von der Leistung bleiben gleichgetaktete Notebooks deswegen (und auch wegen der langsameren Festplatten) 20-25% hinter Desktop PCs.

T8300:

T5850: Merom basierter Core 2 Duo Einstiegsprozessor auf dem Niveau eines Penryn T6500.

T6400:

P8600: Schneller, sparsamer und leistbarer Zweikernprozessor. Für die meisten Spiele und Multimedianawendungen ausreichend schnell und mit 25 Watt TDP auch für kleinere Notebooks geeignet.

Intel Core i7:

720QM: Der Core i7-720QM war zur Zeit der Einführung der langsamste Core i7-9xx Quad Core Prozessor. Er taktet dank Turbo Modus automatisch zwischen 1.6-2.8 GHz. Außerdem unterstützt er Hyperthreading zur gleichzeitigen Abarbeitung von 8 Threads. Im Vergleich zu den stärkeren Core i7 bietet er außerdem nur 6MB L3 Cache.

Intel Core i5:

520M: Der Core i5-520M besitzt im Vergleich zum i7-640 nur 3MB L3 Cache und taktet zwischen 2.4-2.93 GHz (je nach Auslastung dank Turbo Mode). Durch Hyperthreading werden bis zu 4 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeitet. Im Package ist auch noch eine integrierte Grafikkarte (GMA HD mit 500-766 MHz) und ein Speichercontroller (beide noch 45nm Fertigung). Dadurch ist der gesamte TDP von 35 Watt nicht sehr hoch.
