There is now no doubt that this is the best value-for-money in the 16in laptop market. With its super light chassis, 3.2k OLED display, snappy Intel chip, and decent battery life, this is an absolute bargain. Sure, you might get more power with a MacBook, or an even better screen with Dell or Acer but what you get here is very close to premium performance in CPU and display technology for a significantly lower price. This is an outstanding and lightweight 16in laptop that we recommend, highly.

The OLED display (Samsung ATNA60BX01-1 (SDC4178)) amazes us with its sharp image thanks to the 3200 x 2000 resolution and superb color coverage. The 120Hz HDR display has an infinite contrast ratio and reaches 385 cd/m2 max brightness in HDR mode. The “OLED Flicker-Free Dimming” function is a life-saver for people who are sensitive to the typical pulsations of the OLED panels. The performance of our laptop is just fine for everyday tasks. Keep in mind that the tested Ryzen 5 7535HS is the least powerful CPU for this ASUS series.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. ist ein großer taiwanesischer Hersteller von Computer-Hardware mit Sitz in Taipeh, gegründet 1989. Unter dem Markennamen Asus fertigt das Unternehmen eine breite Palette von Produkten, darunter Laptops, Desktops, Motherboards, Grafikkarten, Monitore, Smartphones und Netzwerkgeräte, Komplettsysteme und PC-Bauteile für Endkunden.
Unter dem Markennamen ROG (Republic of Gamers) stellt ASUS Gaming-Laptops her, die bei Spielern für ihre leistungsstarken Spezifikationen, dedizierten Grafikkarten, Displays mit hoher Bildwiederholrate und fortschrittlichen Kühlsystemen bekannt sind.
Über das Gaming hinaus werden eine breite Palette von Notebooks für unterschiedliche Anforderungen und Budgets geboten: von ultraschlanken und leichten Ultrabooks bis hin zu vielseitigen 2-in-1-Convertibles und budgetfreundlichen Optionen. 2023 hatte Asus einen Weltmarktanteil von 7% am PC-Markts.
Die Kundenzufriedenheit mit ASUS-Notebooks betrifft Leistung, die Funktionen und das gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis der ASUS-Notebooks. Wie bei jeder Marke gibt es jedoch gelegentlich Berichte über Probleme wie Überhitzung, Treiberkompatibilität oder Probleme mit der Verarbeitungsqualität.
Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
Intel Arc 8-Core: Integrierte Grafikkarte basierend auf die Xe LPG Architektur (ähnlich zu den dedizierten Arc GPUs, jedoch mit Fokus auf Effizienz). Bietet alle 8 Xe Kerne (128 Xe Vector Engines) und 8 Raytracing Einheiten.
AMD Radeon 880M: Starke RDNA3+ basierende integrierte Grafikkarte (iGPU) mit 12 der 16 Compute Units (= 768 Unified Shader) und einer Taktung von bis zu 2,9 GHz.
AMD Radeon 660M: Integrierte Grafikkarte in den Rembrandt Ryzen APUs basierend auf der RDNA2 Architektur mit 6 CUs (= 384 Shader) und einer Taktrate von bis zu 1.900 MHz.
Qualcomm Adreno X1-45 1.7 TFLOPS: Die Qualcomm Snapdragon X Adreno X1-45 ist die schwächste GPU in the Snapdragon X Plus SoCs mit nur 1,7 statt 3,8 TFLOPS an Leistung. Wahrscheinlich wird dies durch weniger Taktraten und / oder weniger Kerne erreicht.
Durch aktuell eingeschränkten Treibersupport und Spieleunterstüztung ist die 3D-Leistung und Kompabilität in Spielen jedoch nicht vergleichbar mit Nvidia und AMD iGPUs.

Ryzen AI 9 HX 370: Der Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 ist ein schneller Strix Point prozessor für Notebooks welcher in 2024 vorgestellt wurde. Er integriert 12 CPU Kerne, 4 basierend auf die neue Zen 5 Architktur und 8 kleinere Zen 5c basierende Kerne (mit weniger Cache). i7-13620H: Auf der Alder-Lake-Architektur basierender High-End Mobilprozessor. Bietet 6 Performance-Kerne und 4 Effizienzkerne und kann 16 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeiten. Der maximale Turbo-Takt der P-Kerne beträgt 4,9 GHz.

16.00: Dieser Bereich für Displayformate war und ist eine Seltenheit. Es ist größer als der allgemeine Standard von 15 Zoll, aber noch nicht im Bereich der großen Workstations. Man hat üblicherweise höhere Bildschirmauflösungen zur Verfügung, darunter leidet aber auch die Portabilität.
