On the negative side, we’ll admit that we weren’t fans of the MagLev keyboard, nor the all USB-C port decision. Beside the fact that it feeds trolls who can now claim that Apple was right, we’d still prefer to have straight USB Type A on a laptop rather than have another dongle to lose. The MagLev keyboard? Well, you get used to it, and the snappy sound and feel is tolerable.

As we’ve already mentioned several times, the price of an XPS 15 9575 2-in-1 is pretty high. But if this is not a problem for you, then the machine is worth it in every aspect. Many business laptops, even high-end ones, are bulky and solid in order to be more reliable but XPS 15 9575 is only 9-16 mm thick, and in terms of dimensions looks like a 13-14-inch model thanks to its super slim bezels. However, this doesn’t mean it’s unreliable – its construction is made of aluminum, steel, carbon and Gorilla Glas 4 glass, and it also doesn’t sink in or make awkward noises even under significant pressure. The only setback as a result of the dimensions is the lack of USB Type-A ports, however, there is a dongle in the package.

Dell: Dell ist ein 1984 gegründeter US-amerikanischer Hersteller (Sitz Texas) von Computer-Hardware und gehört zu den grössten internationalen Herstellern sowohl in Bezug auf Marktanteile als auch hinsichtlich Notebook-Modellen. Die Produktpalette umfasst unter anderem Desktops, Notebooks, Speichersysteme, Monitore, Server, Drucker, Unterhaltungselektronik und Peripheriegeräte. Dell bietet Laptops an, die ich für verschiedene Einsatzbereiche eignen, z. B. Business-Laptops, Gaming-Laptops, Ultra-Portables und Workstations. Die Business-Notebooks von Dell aus den Latitude- und Precision-Serien sind eine Option für professionelle Anwender und Unternehmen.

2023 hatte Dell einen ungefähren Marktanteil von 17% am weltweiten PC-Absatz und war damit die Nummer 3 nach Lenovo und HP.

Für Gaming-Enthusiasten ist die Marke Alienware von Dell für Gaming-Notebooks vorgesehen.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

AMD Vega M GL / 870: Integrierte Grafikkarte in the den schwächeren Intel Kaby Lake-G SoCs, wie Core i7-8706G, i7-8705G, i5-8305G mit 1280 Shadern und 931 - 1011 MHz Kerntakt. Bietet 4 GB HBM2 Grafikspeicher in einem Multi-Chip-Package. Der TDP von CPU, GPU und Grafikspeicher gemeinsam beträgt 65 Watt.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Mobile: Mittelklasse-Grafikkarte basierend auf Nvidias Pascal-Architektur und Nachfolger der GeForce GTX 960M. Wird im 14-nm-Prozess bei Samsung gefertigt und die technischen Daten entsprechen weitestgehend der Desktop-Version.

Intel Core i7:

i7-8705G:

Auf der Kaby-Lake-Architektur basierender Quad-Core-Prozessor für Notebooks. Integriert neben den vier CPU-Kernen (inkl. Hyper-Threading, 3,1 - 4,1 GHz) auch eine Radeon RX Vega M GL und eine HD Graphics 630 Grafikeinheit und wird im verbesserten 14-Nanometer-Prozess gefertigt. Baugleich zum Core i7-8705G, jedoch ohne vPro Support.

Intel Coffee Lake:

i7-8750H: Auf der Coffee-Lake-Architektur basierender SoC (System-on-a-Chip) für große Notebooks. Integriert unter anderem sechs CPU-Kerne mit 2,2 - 4,1 GHz (4 GHz bei 4 Kernen, 3,9 GHz bei allen 6 Kernen) und HyperThreading sowie eine Grafikeinheit und wird in 14-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt.
