NVIDIA Shield Tablet P1761W

Die mobile Spiele-Arena erobert die Welt im Sturm und das Nvidia Shield Tablet ist im Wesentlichen ein Gaming-Tablet. Mit leistungsstarkem Innenleben und leistbarem Preis, sollten es alle, die ein höherwertiges Tablet suchen, erwägen, auch wenn sie keine Gamer sind.

Der Bildschirm misst 8 Zoll und bietet eine 1920 x 1200 Auflösung. Der IPS-Bildschirm sorgt für weite Blickwinkel und alle Ihre Spiele und Filme werden in Full-HD großartig aussehen. Das Highlight ist die Nvidia Tegra K1 GPU mit 192 Kernen in Kombination mit einem Quad-Core-Prozessor. Es gibt weiters 2 GB RAM für Multitasking.

Das Shield Tablet ist definitiv für Spiele und Apps optimiert und anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen flüssig. Sie könne einfache Spiele, ressourcen-hungrige Spiele und Spiele, die ausschließlich für das K1 verfügbar und optimiert sind, spielen. Zudem unterstützt das Shield PC-Streaming, sodass sie ihre Bibliothek am Fernseher abspielen können. Während der Bildschirm beeindruckend ist, so sorgen die nach vorne gerichteten Lautsprecher für besseren und klareren Sound.

Die beiden Kameras an Vorder- und an Rückseite haben eine Auflösung von 5 MP und unterstützten HDR. Der Kontroller und das Gehäuse, das auch als Ständer fungiert, sind nicht im Startpreis enthalten. Laut Nvidia sind bis zu 10 Stunden Nutzung möglich, allerdings sollte man sich nicht erwarten, dass man solange durchgängig spielen oder Film schauen kann. Für seinen Preis ist das Shield eine großartige Wahl und mit der leistungsstarken Hardware ist sie auch zukunftssicher.

Nvidia's approach may be slightly different this year, but the end result is the largely the same - if you're serious about Android gaming then this really is the only option in town. It offers console-standard graphics - along with a console-quality controller (albeit at an additional cost) - and a fantastic user experience. Add to this the ability to stream PC games and you've got a slate which will have serious players drooling with excitement; it's just a shame that the controller doesn't come as standard and that there are so few Android games out there that truly push the Shield Tablet to its absolute limits.

Europe, which got the shaft when it came to the SHIELD portable (understandably, I suppose – NVIDIA was diving in head-first where releasing its own direct product was concerned), will see availability in mid-August. Finally, we’ll see support for other regions pop up this fall. Overall, I’d say that this is an impressive showing by NVIDIA, and as a big fan of the SHIELD portable, this launch gives me big relief that the series didn’t become a one-off sort of deal. I look forward to seeing the SHIELD Tablet in action.

NVIDIA Shield Tablet LTE P1761

Das Nvidia Shield Tablet LTE P1761 ist ein portables Gaming-Gerät der nächsten Generation in einer wohlbekannten Tablet-Form. Auf den ersten Blick sieht das Shield mit seinem vollständig schwarzen Gehäuse und seiner Block-From mit subtilen Kurven wie jedes andere Tablet aus. Das Nvidia Shield Tablet LTE P1761 ist mit einer Nvidia Tegra K1 192 Core Kepler GPU, einer 2,2 GHz ARM Cortex A15 CPU und 2 GB RAM ausgestattet.

Die Konfiguration ist stark genug für portables Gaming und sogar Nvidia GameStream, womit PC-Games auf ein Tablet übertragen werden können, ist möglich. Die Benutzerschnittstelle ist ein 8 Zoll großer FHD Bildschirm (1920 x 1200 Pixel) mit Multi-Touch-Fähigkeiten. Das LTE Modell verfügt nur über 32 GB. User werden sich freuen, dass sie den Speicher mit einer microSD vergrößern können. Weitere Features sind ein miniHDMi-Ausgang, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS mit GLONASS, Dual-Band-WiFi und ein DirectStylus 2 mit 3D Paint Anwendung.

Alle Software-Updates kommen direkt von Nvidia, da das Shield angepasste Software nutzt. Da bemerkenswerteste Feature ist, dass man einen Shield Wireless-Controller mit dem Nvidia Shield Tablet LTE P1761 benutzen kann. Das macht es Konsolen-ähnlicher. Der Akku hat eine Kapazität von 10.75 Wh.

sehr gute Benchmark-Werte. Weniger Freude kam allerdings bei der allgemeinen Handhabung auf. Die Kunststoffwanne, in der die Technik liegt, ist sehr weich ... das Touch-Display (immerhin mit Full HD-Auflösung) reagiert auf Berührungen nicht so akkurat, wie man das von fast allen anderen Geräten gewohnt ist. Die beiden Lautsprecher an der Front bescheren dafür echten Stereo-Klang.

The Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 is a great midrange slate, and not just for gaming. It delivers powerful performance, a light and unassuming body, and very good battery liffe. Add to that the fact that it can play more games than any other Android tablet, and you have a winner for gamers and non-gamers alike. The Predator 8 gets you better sound quality and haptic feedback, but it costs $100 more and doesn't have access to GeForce Now games. The Galaxy Tab S2 is another good choice, with a sharper screen and multi-window multitasking, but it's even more expensive at $400. That makes the K1 a top pick among midrange tablets, and an Editors' Choice.

We loved the Nvidia Shield when it first arrived, and the price cut only makes us love it more. For £150 there’s very little else out there that’s as powerful or as flexible when it comes to gaming. Losing the stylus and power adaptor to significantly lower the price doesn’t make it any less of a bargain, as we didn’t find the stylus very useful and have plenty of USB cables lying around. The design, while tweaked, can’t compete with the Asus ZenPad S, and many will prefer Google’s Nexus 9 for its 4:3 aspect ratio display, but you’ll have to spend significantly more to get anything better. It retains its Best Buy award.

At just £149, the Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 offers very strong value for money - although of course you'll need to stump up anohter £49.99 for the controller and £19.99 for the Nvidia cover. However, that's still a solid deal and well worth grabbing if you're a big gaming fan and don't already own last year's Shield Tablet.

NVIDIA: Nvidia ist ein US-amerikanisches Unternehmen, das 1993 gegründet wurde. Das Unternehmen ist auf die Entwicklung von Grafikprozessoren (GPUs) und anderen Computerkomponenten spezialisiert, die in Gaming-PCs, Workstations, Servern und anderen Anwendungen eingesetzt werden. Das Unternehmen hat auch eine breite Palette von KI- und Deep-Learning-Technologien entwickelt, die in der Automobilindustrie, im Gesundheitswesen, in der Robotik und anderen Branchen eingesetzt werden. Nvidia hat Niederlassungen in Nordamerika, Europa, Asien und anderen Ländern und hat 2023 offiziell den Firmenwert von 1 Billion Dollar überschritten, was nur wenige andere Unternehmen geschafft haben.

Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen.  Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.

NVIDIA GeForce Tegra 4: Integrierte GeForce GPU im Tegra 4 SoC. Weiterhin keine Unified Shader, sondern 48 Pixel- und 24 Vertexshader.

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.

NVIDIA GeForce ULP K1 (Tegra K1 Kepler GPU): Integrierte Grafikeinheit im Tegra K1 SoC ohne dedizierten Speicher. Basiert auf der Kepler-Architektur mit einem SMX (192 Shader). Unterstützt unter anderem DirectX 11 sowie OpenGL 4.4.

NVIDIA Tegra:

4: 4-PLUS-1 Cortex-A15 Prozessorkern gepaart mit einer Geforce Grafikkarte mit 72 Kernen.

K1: System-on-a-Chip (SoC) für Smartphones und Tablets. Integriert eine 4+1 Cortex-A15-CPU sowie eine Kepler-basierte Grafikeinheit mit 192 CUDA-Kernen bzw. Streamprozessoren.

5.00: Es handelt sich um ein sehr kleines Display-Format für Smartphones. Man sollte keinesfalls fehlsichtig sein und man wird generell sehr wenig am Bildschirm sehen und nur eine kleine Auflösung zur Verfügung haben. Dafür sollte das Gerät sehr klein und handlich sein.

8.00: Bei dieser Display-Größe stehen große Smartphones und ein paar kleine Tablets zur Verfügung. Anders als bei den meisten Smartphones sieht man mehr am Bildschirm, mehr Details und kann größere Auflösungen nutzen. Für fehlsichtige Menschen sind solche Formate besser. In der Hosentasche sind solche Geräte aber nicht mehr leicht unterzubringen und ganz leicht sind sie wohl auch nicht.
