Das neueste GT83VR soll die Herzen der Gamer einfangen. Das mit dem Codenamen "Titan" bezeichnete Gerät wird durch Grafikkarten der neuesten GeForce-GTX-10-Serie angetrieben. Das GT83VR macht bereits auf den ersten Blick eine beeindruckende Figur, was besonders an den auffälligen Lüfteröffnungen an seiner Rückseite liegt. Das monströse Racing-Design setzt bereits beim Einschalten den "Gaming"-Charakter in Szene. Der Laptop misst 458 x 339 x 42~69 mm und wiegt heftige 5,5 kg (mit Akku). Seine Klobigkeit übertrifft Geräte wie jene aus Acers Predator-Serie und sogar seinen konkurrierenden Bruder, das GT72VR. Die Tastatur, die mit roten Hintergrundlicht beleuchtet ist, leuchtet unter schlechten Lichtbedingungen bedrohlich rot. Die Tasten mit silbernem Aufdruck sind langlebig. Darüber hinaus verfügt das GT83VR über einen erstaunlichen 18,4 Zoll großen FHD-IPS-Bildschirm, der Bilder natürlich darstellt. Dank True-Color-Technologie und True-Color-Profil werden die Farben mit höherer Genauigkeit dargestellt. Die Soundqualität ist gleichermaßen ausgezeichnet, da sie von einem Dynaudio 4+1-Speaker-System verbessert wird, welches High-Definition-Sound-Technologie bietet. Ähnlich wie das GT72VR ist das Titan VR-Technology-ready. Mit der One-Click-VR-Lösung können Gamer in eine aufregende virtuelle Welt eintauchen. Da das GT83VR mit einem der Intel-Core-i7-Prozessoren der sechsten Generation ausgestattet ist, ist seine Gaming-Fähigkeit ausgezeichnet. Es unterstützt bis zu 64 GB RAM und verfügt über eine 1 TB Festplatte sowie eine 512 GB SSD. Die Killer-DoubleShot-Pro-Technologie, eine Software-Erweiterung in allen MSI-Gaming-Laptops verhindert unnötige Leistungsverzögerungen. Wiederum übertrifft das MSI mit dem Titan seine Konkurrenten in puncto Temperatursteuerung. Zudem ermöglicht die MSI-SHIFT-Technology Usern ein einfaches Übertakten. Die exklusive SHIFT-Technologie treibt den Systemtakt ins Extreme während sie Geräusch- und Temperaturemissionen minimiert. Drei Lüfter mit 15 Heatpipes tragen dazu bei, das Gerät außergewöhnlich kühl zu halten. Zudem ist das Titan mit Schnittstellen vollgepackt. Dazu gehören sechs USB-3.0 /3.1-Gen.-1-Ports, ein USB-3.1-Gen.-2-Port, ein HDMI-Port, zwei DisplayPorts, ein Kensington Lock und ein Kartenleser. Netzwerkverbindungen sind via WiFi und Bluetooth möglich. Am GT83VR ist Windows 10 Home vorinstalliert. Dank eines Zusammentreffens der Titanen zeigt sich das GT83VR jedenfalls schnell und leistungsstark, jedoch zu einem happigen Preis. Seine Abmessungen und sein Gewicht eignen sich definitiv nicht für Portabilität, doch sollten Sie, aus welchen Gründen auch immer, einen Laptop mit 18,4-Zoll-Bildschirm benötigen, gibt es nicht viele Laptops, die das MSI GT83VR-6RF-64SR451 schlagen könnten. While the coolers have little trouble keeping the hardware below 90 degrees they can only do this by spinning the turbines at quite a rate and the consequence is noise. Lots of noise. As a portable solution, the Titan makes better sense than Asus GX800VH. But even so, it is big and heavy and you need to lug two large power bricks wherever you go.

MSI GT83VR Titan SLI has unmatchable performance (for a notebook) and we know that even though the price/performance ratio is far from the best, there will be many users who have more than enough money and just want to have the fastest notebook on the market. In case you’re one of them, the machine is great. GT83VR Titan has the best cooling system we’ve ever tested and really takes advantage of the pair of GTX 1070s / 1080s and the Core i7-6820HK processor.

Interestingly, the GTX 1080s on the MSI GT83VR 6RF Titan SLI performed more or less the same as the desktop cards for 4K resolutions (SLI mode).

The GT83 will cost you RM20,999, which isn't exactly a friendly price tag for most people out there, but considering that you get to have these powerful hardware in a laptop form factor, I would have to say that the GT83 is pretty much unrivalled and it is a reasonable price tag to pay for.

MSI GT83VR 7RF-206 Titan SLI
Das MSI GT83VR 7RF-206 Titan SLI ist das erste Gaming-Notebook der Welt mit einer Tastatur mit Cherry-MX-Speed-Switches für schnelleres Spielen. Es ist auch eine der ersten Gaming-Maschinen mit Intels Kaby-Lake-Prozessor siebter Generation. Die SLI-Konfiguration ist sogar mit zwei Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs ausgestattet. Da dies 10-Series-GPUs sind, ist das Titan selbstverständlich VR-ready. Für Speicherplatz sorgen eine PCI-e-SSD mit 512 GB in einer Super-RAID-4-Konfiguration sowie eine 1-TB-Festplatte mit 7200 RPM, die 4,97 GB Multimediadateien in 5 Sekunden duplizieren kann. Das Titan ist ebenso groß wie schön. Das 5,9 kg schwere Gerät ist mit gebürstetem Aluminium überzogen und macht mit einer Größe von 42,9 x 31,5 x 4,3~6,35 cm einen imposanten Eindruck, der einen ganzen Tisch einnimmt. Der Deckel des Laptops schimmert einladend und ist mit einem Paar leuchtender, roter Pfeile akzentuiert, daneben prangt ein hinterleuchtetes Siegel mit einem Drachen sowie ein glänzendes MSI-Schild aus Chrom. Die hinteren Lüftungsschlitze sind mit rotem Aluminium umrandet und leuchten verlockend. Beim Öffnen des Deckels kommen eine große mechanische Tastatur und ein digitaler Touch-Nummernblock zum Vorschein, allerdings an der Stelle, an der man normalerweise eine Handballenauflage erwarten würde. Über den Eingabegeräten befindet sich bloß eine große Platte mit einem eingravierten Drachen. Es sieht nicht nur cool aus, sondern ist auch nützlich, denn die Platte kann entfernt werden, um zum Arbeitsspeicher oder den Solid-State-Laufwerken zu gelangen.
MSI tauschte die Cherry-MX-Brown-Switches der mechanischen Tastatur mit Cherry-Speed-Silver-Switches aus, womit das Titan zum ersten und einzigen Gaming-Laptop mit dieser Besonderheit wurde. Laut Cherry sind diese Switches flacher als andere, weshalb Gamer nicht so stark drücken müssen, um zu schießen oder sich zu bewegen. Die Speed-Silver-Switches haben einen Hub von 3,4 mm, was etwas tiefer als der Hub von 3,1 mm der Brown-Switches ist. Das Notebook hat einen 18,4-Zoll-IPS-Bildschirm mit einer Auflösung von 1920 x 1080 Pixel, der Farbtöne lebhaft darstellt und für scharfe Details sorgt. Das auffällige Display des Titan sticht mit seiner Fähigkeit hervor, 114 Prozent des sRGB-Farbraumes abbilden zu können. In Sachen Helligkeit bringt es der Bildschirm allerdings nur auf 295 nits. Die Akkulaufzeiten leiden unter den zwei GPUs, daher ist es nicht überraschend, dass das Titan lediglich etwas mehr als zwei Stunden durchhält. Die kräftigen Dynaudio-Lautsprecher und der unten montierte Subwoofer liefern dröhnende Tiefen und warme, klare Mitten und Höhen. Der Lautsprecher des Laptops bietet bei flotten Liedern klare Zimbeln, volle Tiefen und schwungvollen Gesang. Die Software Nahimic 2 ist auch auf dem Notebook vorinstalliert und bringt mit sich viele Voreinstellungen, nämlich Music, Comm, Movie, Shooter, Strategy, Role Play und Racing. Das Gerät quillt außerdem über von Anschlüssen: fünf USB-3.0-Schnittstellen, je ein HDMI- und Thunderbolt-3-Anschluss und sogar ein DisplayPort. Das MSI GT83VR 7RF-206 Titan SLI ist für ein Gaming-Notebook so hardcore wie nur möglich. Zurzeit findet man schwer Konkurrenten auf dem Markt. Die einzigen Schwachpunkte sind die relativ niedrige Auflösung und Helligkeit.
