Honor 5X

Das Honor 5x ist ein Mittelklasse-Smartphone. Seine gebürstete Metalloberfläche sieht elegant aus. Das Smartphone verfügt über einen 5,5 Zoll großen 1080p-Touchscreen und sogar über Fingerabdruck-Entsperrung, was in der aktuellen Smartphone-Generation immer häufiger wird. Das Android-Lolipop-v5.1.1-System verfügt über einen 1,2 GHz Quad-Core-SoC mit Adreno 405 GPU. Der interne Speicher beträgt nur 16 GB. Allerdings kann die Speicherkapazität via microSD-Slot um bis zu 128 GB erweitert werden. Der 3000 mAh Akku hält zirka 30 Stunden Sprechzeit und 10 Stunden Internet-Surfen durch. Das Honor 5x ist in drei Farben erhältlich: silber, gold und grau. Die 13-MP-Kamera an der Rückseite liefert großartige Standbilder und Videos, während der 5-MP-Frontkamera ausgezeichnete Weitwinkelbilder schießt. Da das Phone Dual-SIM unterstützt, können User wählen, welcher SIM für Daten bzw. Anrufe benutzt wird. Ein Zusaztfeatures, das rauschunterdrückende Mikrofon, lässt Phone-Anrufe lauter wirken. Zusammenfassend ist das Honor 5x für seinen Preisbereich ein ausgezeichnetes Smartphone. Es eignet sich ausgezeichnetes als erstes Phone für Teenager oder als Zweitphone für Erwachsene.

Das Honor 5X gehört eigentlich in die gehobene Mittelklasse, und wenn man allein das Gehäuse betrachtet in die Oberklasse, wären da nicht der etwas schwache Prozessor, fehlendes Wi-Fi ac und der kleine interne Speicher. Letzterer lässt sich allerdings durch microSD-Karten aufrüsten und ein schneller Prozessor ist nur wichtig, wenn man das Smartphone für wirklich anspruchsvolle Dinge, beispielsweise Gaming, nutzt.

Honor 5C

Das Honor 5C ist auch als Honor 7 Lite bekannt. Es misst 147,1 x 73,8 x 8,3 mm und wiegt 156 g. Sein 5.2-Zoll Touchscreen verfügt über eine Auflösung von 1.080 x 1.920 Pixeln. Das ergibt eine Pixeldichte von 424 ppi. Das Android 6.0 System wird durch ein HiSilicon Kirin 650 Octa-Core-Chipset und 2 GB RAM angetrieben. Der interne Speicher des Honor 5c hat eine Kapazität von 16 GB. Dank MicroSD-Slot kann die Speicherkapazität um bis zu 128 GB erweitert werden. Die 13 MP Kamera an der Rückseite und die 8 MP Frontkamera können kristallklare Photos liefern und bieten viele Funktionen und Modi. Abgesehen von Dual-SIM-Fähigkeit, werden Verbindungen via WiFi, A-GPS und Bluetooth unterstützt. Zudem gibt es einen FM-Radio-Empfänger. Der einzigartige Fingerabdruckleser von Huawei ist mit dabei und es ist einfach Gesten fürs Entsperren und zur ID-Erkennung zu konfigurieren, was die Sicherheit und die Bequemlichkeit erhöht. Die drei Farbvarianten, in welchen das Honor 5C erhältlich ist, sind silber, grau und gold. Es verfügt über einen nicht entfernbaren 3000 mAh Akku.

I was a bit worried taking a punt on this device. I normally recommend a Moto G for people in this segment and had the G4 been smaller, I would’ve bought that for my mother without any hesitation. But this phone really surprised me. Frankly this is the best budget phone on the market now. Sure, as a phone-nerd it doesnt have the features and power that I want for all the things I do with my phone. But for a lot of people, it really is all the phone they’d ever need. Everyday tasks are done easily with good performance, a good screen, good battery life, decent camera and a surprisingly enjoyable software experience.

I was a bit worried taking a punt on this device. I normally recommend a Moto G for people in this segment and had the G4 been smaller, I would’ve bought that for my mother without any hesitation. But this phone really surprised me. Frankly this is the best budget phone on the market now. Sure, as a phone-nerd it doesnt have the features and power that I want for all the things I do with my phone. But for a lot of people, it really is all the phone they’d ever need. Everyday tasks are done easily with good performance, a good screen, good battery life, decent camera and a surprisingly enjoyable software experience.

They do both shoot video at 1080p, and there's anF2.0 aperture and 78° wide-angle 5-element (5P) macro lens, but I found photos ready to pixelate under many conditions. Image reproduction was good, but the fuzziness and noise set the camera at standard average budget for me. The camera app, on the other hand, is rather nice and easy to use.

The Honor 5C offers a blend of good design, appealing UI and a capable hardware. It is definitely a good update over its predecessor, the Honor 4C, and feels as good as the Honor 5X. There are minor software issues but nothing that a quick update can’t fix. Having said that, the smartphone doesn’t offer anything unique or a differentiating factor that would set it apart from the competition. It’s a plain Jane phone which will struggle to survive in the market. The only reason one might just go for the Honor 5C is for its smaller display, as there are some consumers who don’t want to go beyond the 5.0-5.2 inch screen size.

Overall, we think the Honor 5A is just average at best. For an RM599 smartphone, it's quite impresive that it can play games likes Asphalt 8: Airborne without burning out, battery performance is pretty good and it has a nice design. The foodies are going to love the Good Food mode for their Instagram collection too, especially if they add on a 128GB microSD card.

Honor: 2014 gründete Huawei die Tochtermarke Honor unter der bestimmte Smartphone-Linien vertrieben werden. Gelegentlich werden die Produkte auch unter der Bezeichnung Huawei Honor geführt.

Der Marktanteil von Honor-Produkten ist überschaubar, aber es gibt einige Testberichte für Honor Smartphones mit durchschnittliche Bewertungen (2016).

Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen.  Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.

Qualcomm Adreno 405: Grafikchip für Smartphones und Tablets, integriert im Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC.

ARM Mali-T830 MP2: ARM-Grafikchip für Smartphones und Tablets, unter anderem im HiSilicon Kirin 650 integriert.

3D Spiele sind auf diesen Vertretern nur in Ausnahmen spielbar, grundsätzlich sind die Grafiklösungen hierfür jedoch nicht geeignet. Office Programme und Internet surfen dürfte jedoch ohne Problem möglich sein.
