Die Knappheit der Anschlüsse sind der einzige Kritikpunkt – neben dem hohen Verkaufspreis von 1.999 Euro zum Testzeitpunkt. Aber dafür bekommen Kunden auch einiges geboten: Das HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 arbeitet richtig schnell und bleibt dabei kühl und leise. Das farbstarke Display überzeugte uns genauso wie die mit über 13 Stunden extrem lange Akkulaufzeit. Zudem sind in der geprüften Ausstattungsvariante 14-fh0079ng schnelles Wifi 7 und die mit gut 1,9 Terabyte große SSD Serie. So ist das HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 am Ende das aktuell beste Convertible-Notebook, das COMPUTER BILD je im Test hatte.

Overall, this is an excellent laptop. Yes, the MSRP is steep. Especially for this configuration I have here. But you can find these on sale for a reasonable price, and at the sale prices, the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 2-in-1 is a really solid value. From its comfortable and easy to use keyboard and haptic trackpad, to the outstanding speakers and brilliant OLED display. I wouldn’t recommend this laptop for hardcore gaming or programming, but I think light gaming, video editing, and photo editing are very doable with ease on the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 2-in-1. It will certainly fit the bill for basic computing tasks and day to day use.

However, it lacks the power and features to support content creators, whereas the competing Asus ProArt PX13 checks all boxes. The Flip's focus on efficiency and AI performance pushes it into something of a mainstream-premium niche, with its gorgeous touch screen and lots of excellent battery life. If you’re after a portable machine that’s a viable platform for creative output and productivity, the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 won't let you down, but the Asus ProArt PX13 will comparatively lift you up, and for less cash.

All in all, the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 is a fine 2-in-1 laptop. It’s the best for battery life that we’ve seen from that particular genre of machine, and it performs adequately as well. HP combines that with fantastic build quality, decent accessibility, a generous specification for the money, decent levels of repairability and upgradeability, plus a great display. For all this laptop’s strengths, however, there’s also a selection of weaknesses undermining its overall appeal. The lack of a power button or volume buttons on the edge is annoying, the speakers are loud but harsh and the webcam is, frankly, terrible. In a cheaper laptop, those niggles wouldn’t bother me so much, but the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 is a premium laptop with great potential, and it deserves much better.

Time for the verdict, and I'd like to say that the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 is definitely on the expensive side, and that's something holding me back from recommending it to users. However, if the price isn't an issue, and it should see a drop soon, then this 2-in-1 laptop from HP is a good buy. The OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 has an excellent OLED display, good performance, especially in gaming, great battery life, and is portable. While it does miss out on some basics such as a USB Type-A port, it's not so bad. If you're a creator looking for a 2-in-1 with an excellent screen and good battery life, this is a really good choice.

Fortunately, I didn’t have to worry too much. There’s really not a lot to dislike about the OmniBook. It gets very good battery life, has a gorgeous OLED display, and it look and feels great. The Spectre x360 14 was a great laptop, maybe the best example of the 360-degree convertible 2-in-1. With HP’s rebranding, I was wondering how much else would change with the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14. Fortunately, I didn’t have to worry too much. There’s really not a lot to dislike about the OmniBook. It gets very good battery life, has a gorgeous OLED display, and it look and feels great. Its performance isn’t the best, but it’s fast enough, and its keyboard and touchpad are excellent. It’s most attractive, though, at its sale prices.

HP: 1939 gegründet, ist das US-Unternehmen ein wichtiger Server und Druckerhersteller und eines der führenden IT-Unternehmen weltweit. Bis 2015 hieß das Unternehmen Hewlett-Packard Company. Nach einer Aufspaltung wurde der Computer-Bereich in HP Inc. umbenannt.

2023 hatte HP einen ungefähren Marktanteil von 22% am weltweiten PC-Absatz und war damit die Nummer 2 nach Lenovo.

Diese Grafikkarten sollten alle modernen Spiele flüssig darstellen können. Anspruchsvolle Spiele müssen jedoch in mittlerer Detailstufe gespielt werden. Ältere und weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele wie die Sims Serie können auch in hohen Detailsstufen flüssig dargestellt werden.

Intel Arc 140V: Schnelle integrierte Grafikkarte, die in den schnelleren Intel Lunar Lake Prozessoren zum Einsatz kommt. Die 140V verfügt über 8 Xe²-Architekturkerne, die mit bis zu 2.050 MHz laufen, und 8 Raytracing-Einheiten. Sie ist DirectX 12 Ultimate-fähig und unterstützt alle modernen Video-Codecs.

Intel Lunar Lake: Launching in September 2024 with Xe2 graphics and few CPU cores.

Core Ultra 7 258V: Eine obere Mittelklasse der Lunar Lake Prozessor. Dabei handelt es sich um ein SoC für den Einsatz in Laptops und Tablets der schlankeren Art, das über 4 brandneue E-Kerne und 4 leicht verbesserte P-Kerne verfügt, die mit bis zu 4,8 GHz laufen, zusammen mit der vielversprechenden neuen Arc 140V iGPU und 32 GB integriertem LPDDR5x-8533 RAM. Eine neue 47 TOPS neuronale Engine, TB 4 und PCIe 5 SSD Unterstützung sind ebenfalls enthalten.
