Corsair One i160 - der 12-Liter-Gaming-PC mit RTX 2080 Ti und Core i9 im Test
Kompromisslose Leistung!
Der kompakte Gaming-PC von Corsair bietet die beste Gaming-Hardware in einem extrem kompakten Gehäuse. Um die Abwärme aus dem Gehäuse zu befördern, ist der Corsair One i160 mit einer eigens entwickelten und patentierten Flüssigkeitskühlung ausgestattet, damit CPU und GPU auch bei langen Spielesessions ihre volle Leistung zur Verfügung stellen können. Ob dies stimmt und wie gut sich der Fertig-PC bei den Spieletests geschlagen hat, erfahren Sie in diesem Review.


Wer einen topmodernen Gaming-PC sucht und keine Kompromisse in puncto Leistung eingehen möchte, kommt derzeit nicht an der Kombination von Intel und Nvidia vorbei - genau das hat sich auch Corsair gedacht. Den eigenen Anspruch hat man zudem mit einem extrem kompakten 12-Liter-Chassis extrem nach oben geschraubt. Und ja, es geht! Denn Corsair paart in dem One i160 einen Intel Core i9-9900K und eine Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. Das hier nicht eine konventionelle Kühlung zum Einsatz kommt, wird schnell klar, wenn man sich das sehr kompakte Gerät genauer anschaut. So sind CPU und GPU mit einer AIO ausgestattet, wobei die beiden Radiatoren nicht mit Lüftern versehen sind, wie man es eigentlich erwarten würde. Stattdessen befindet sich ein großer 140-mm-Lüfter ganz oben im Gehäuse, welcher die Luft durch die beiden Seiten einsaugt und somit einen Kamineffekt zur Kühlung der beiden Radiatoren nutzt. Das Konzept geht auf, soviel können wir an dieser Stelle schon einmal vorwegnehmen.
Prozessor und Grafikkarte machen allein aber noch keinen vollwertigen Gaming-PC. So ist der One i160 noch mit 32-GB-DDR4-RAM bestückt, und auch beim Massenspeicher kann man mit insgesamt rund 2,5 TB nicht klagen. Hierbei müssen wir aber noch unterscheiden, denn nur 512 GB sind als schneller SSD-Speicher als M.2-2280-Modul verbaut. Für die restlichen 2 TB dient eine herkömmliche 2,5-Zoll-Festplatte.
Der komplette Gaming-PC Corsair One i160
kostet zum Testzeitpunkt 3.700 Euro und kann direkt bei Corsair geordert werden. Das eigens entwickelte Design-Gehäuse und die patentierte Kühllösung für den Prozessor und die Grafikkarte gibt es nicht separat zu kaufen.
Für knapp 3.000 Euro kann man den etwas leistungsschwächeren One i140 kaufen. Dafür erhält man dann einen Intel Core i7-9700K und eine Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 als Pixelbeschleuniger. RAM und Massenspeicher sind zu unserem Testmuster identisch. Dass preislich bei unserem Testgerät noch nicht das Ende erreicht ist, zeigt sich beim One i165. Wer also noch 100 Euro drauflegt, bekommt das Doppelte an SSD-Speicher, und Windows 10 erhält man dann in der Pro-Version. Bei allen anderen Konfigurationen gibt es Windows nur in der Home-Edition.
Gehäuse
Das Gehäuse des Corsair One i160 ist mit nur 12 Litern Volumen sehr klein. Trotzdem hat es Corsair geschafft, das sehr kompakte Gehäuse bestens auszunutzen. Bei den Materialien setzt der Hersteller überwiegend auf Aluminium. Somit hinterlässt das Gerät neben dem guten optischen auch einen sehr guten haptischen Eindruck. Das schwarze, schlichte Design wird an der Vorderseite mit zwei RGB-Lichtstreifen aufgehübscht. Über die iCUE-Software lässt sich diese unter anderem auf die eigenen Bedürfnisse anpassen.
Trotz der Kompaktheit bringt der kleine PC knapp 7,5 Kilogramm auf die Waage. Das vermutet man beim ersten Anblick nicht. Dies untermauert aber nochmals die Materialbeschaffenheit, denn bei so einem kleinen Gehäuse wird alles verwendet, um die entstehende Abwärme wegzuleiten.
Ausstattung - alles, was man braucht
Da Corsair beim Mainboard auf eine Eigenentwicklung verzichtet und stattdessen das MSI Z370I Gaming Pro Carbon AC Board verbaut, ist der Desktop-PC mit externen Schnittstellen bestens versorgt. Hinzu kommen noch die externen Schnittstellen der GeForce-RTX-Grafikkarte. Hier lassen sich sogar bis zu drei 4K-Display gleichzeitig betreiben. Die meisten Anschlüsse befinden sich auf der Rückseite, aber auch an der Vorderseite hat Corsair dem One i160 zwei USB-Schnittstellen verpasst. Außerdem ist an der Front noch ein kombinierter 3,5-mm-Klinkenanschluss und ein HDMI-2.0b-Anschluss vorhanden.
Für die Netzwerkverbindung stehen dem Anwender entweder WLAN-AC oder Ethernet zur Verfügung. Das WLAN-Modul von Intel (Wireless AC-8265) unterstützt außerdem Bluetooth in der Version 4.2.
Sicherheit
Wer mit dem Gerät des Öfteren auf LAN-Partys unterwegs ist, kann das Gerät mit einem Kensington Sicherheitsschloss vor Langfingern schützen. Als Sicherheits-Software war bei unserem Testmuster nichts weiter installiert.
Wartung
Sollte die Leistung des Corsair One i160 nicht reichen oder der Massenspeicher zu knapp ausfallen, kann man das Gerät aufrüsten. Der Desktop-PC lässt sich problemlos öffnen. Dazu muss erst einmal der Gehäusedeckel mit dem 140-mm-Lüfter entfernt werden. Dieser lässt sich sogar ohne Werkzeug demontieren. Danach muss man für die beiden Seitenteile jeweils zwei Schrauben entfernen. Hierbei sollte man allerdings etwas vorsichtig agieren, denn an den Seitenteilen sind jeweils die Wärmetauscher der AIO installiert, sodass man die Seitenelemente nicht einfach beiseite legen kann. Mit etwas Geschick lässt sich nun zum Beispiel der Arbeitsspeicher austauschen. Ebenfalls kann auch die Festplatte gegen ein anderes Modell ersetzt werden. Wer allerdings die M.2-SSD wechseln möchte, muss schon etwas mehr Zeit einplanen. Da sich diese auf der Rückseite des Mainboards befindet, muss entweder das Mainboard oder die Grafikkarte ausgebaut werden, um den Massenspeicher ersetzen zu können.

Software
Monitoring-Fans werden mit der mitgelieferten Software iCUE ihre wahre Freude haben. Über die Bedienoberfläche lässt sich das System perfekt überwachen. Darüber hinaus lassen sich auch die beleuchteten RGB-Elemente am Gehäuse steuern. Eine Vielzahl an Einstellungsmöglichkeiten und Lichteffekten stehen dem Nutzer hier zu Auswahl.
Leistung
Leistungsmäßig bietet das Corsair One i160 das Beste, was derzeit als Gaming-System möglich ist. Intels Top-Gaming-CPU und die schnellste Nvidia Grafikkarte sorgen für hohe Frame-Raten und verlangen nach hohen Auflösungen, um ihr volles Potenzial zeigen zu können. Wer also vorrangig nur mit 1080p spielen möchte, für diejenigen ist das One i140 die bessere Alternative.
Prozessor
Der Corsair One i160 ist mit dem schnellsten Prozessor ausgestattet, den man auf Basis der Hauptplatine installieren kann. Der Intel Core i9-9900K verfügt über 8 physikalische Recheneinheiten und kann Dank Hyper-Threading bis zu 16 Threads parallel bearbeiten. Mit den Standardeinstellungen arbeitet der Prozessor mit 95 Watt, wenngleich im Turbo-Betrieb bis zu 125 Watt möglich sind. Wer den Prozessor übertaktet, muss hier mit erheblich höheren Verbrauchswerten rechnen. Da in unserem Fall das Gehäuse und die Kühlung ein limitierender Faktor sind, würden wir von einer Übertaktung des Prozessors abraten.
Selbst mit den Default-Einstellungen kann der Intel Core i9-9900K gute Ergebnisse im Test erzielen. Gegenüber dem AMD Ryzen 7 3700X muss der Intel Prozessor leider eine Niederlage hinnehmen. Ein Hauptfaktor ist hierfür die Kühlung, welche auf der einen Seite ausreichend, auf der anderen Seite trotzdem limitierend ist. In einem größeren Gehäuse ist einfach mehr Platz, um die Abwärme besser zu verteilen.
Im Großen und Ganzen zeigt Corsair mit dem One i160, dass es trotz der kompakten Ausmaße möglich ist, einen Intel Core i9-9900K im Zaum zu halten.

Cinebench-R15-Multi-Schleife
Wie auch bei unseren Notebook-Tests muss sich Corsair One i160 ebenfalls der Cinebench-R15-Multi-Schleife stellen. Wie wir schon vermutet haben, kann der Intel Core i9-9900K seinen Turbo nur bedingt ausnutzen. Was allerdings ebenfalls nicht zu vernachlässigen ist, dass ab dem neunten Durchlauf ein leichter Leistungsabfall zu verzeichnen ist. Dieser fällt im Vergleich zu den mobilen Geräten jedoch deutlich geringer aus. Aber im direkten Duell gegen andere Desktop-Prozessoren ist dieser kleine Nachteil messbar. Von einem spürbaren Leistungsabfall würden wir an dieser Stelle aber nicht sprechen.
Bei den Taktraten verhält sich der Core-i9-Prozessor, wie wir es erwartet hatten. Sogar die 5,0-GHz-Marke wird immer mal wieder erreicht. Beim Stromverbrauch lassen sich sehr gut die festgelegten Werte aus dem Diagramm ablesen. So beginnt jeder Durchgang im Turbo-Betrieb mit bis zu 125 Watt. Gleichwohl reduziert sich dieser im weiteren Verlauf immer wieder auf 95 Watt. Zu Beginn ist dieser Sprung von 125 Watt auf 95 Watt allerdings noch nicht vorhanden. Erst nach dem neunten Durchlauf sinkt die Leistungsaufnahme, welches sich auch in den Ergebnissen widerspiegelt.
System Performance
Das gesamte System arbeitete während des Testzeitraumes zügig, wenngleich die schnelle NVMe-SSD hier einen großen Anteil leistet. Aufgrund der Vielzahl an getesteten Spielen war die herkömmliche Festplatte hier oftmals ein Flaschenhals im System und bremste dies leicht aus. Wer wirklich mit dem Gedanken spielt, sich diesen Computer zuzulegen, sollte über einen Tausch der Festplatte gegen eine SDD nachdenken.

Massenspeicher
Wie eingangs schon erwähnt ist das Corsair One i160 mit zwei Massenspeichern ausgestattet. Zum einen ist das System auf einer schnellen PCIe-SSD von Samsung mit 512 GB Speicherplatz und als Weiteres noch eine herkömmliche Festplatte mit 2 TB verbaut.
Im Test lieferte die SSD von Samsung eine sehr gute Performance, wovon das ganze System profitiert. Für eine noch bessere Gesamt-Performance hätte Corsair den PC allerdings nur mit SSDs bestücken sollen. Die durchschnittliche Transferrate der Seagate Festplatte lag bei 107 MB/s. Dieser Wert ist nicht schlecht, aber im Vergleich zu einer SSD hat eine Festplatte deutliche Nachteile, was die Leistung betrifft.
Weitere Massenspeicher finden in dem kompakten Gehäuse leider keinen Platz mehr.
Grafikkarte - keine Kompromisse mit der GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
Corsair verpasst seinem kompakten Gaming-PC nicht nur die beste Gaming-CPU, sondern auch die beste Grafikkarte, die man momentan zum Spielen verwenden kann. So verbaut Corsair eine Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, welche im Ursprung von MSI stammt, das verraten uns diverse Tools, die das Bios der Karte auslesen. Genauer gesagt handelt es sich um die MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Ventus OC. Allerdings hat Corsair die Karte mit einem eigens entwickelten und patentierten Kühlsystem modifiziert, um die Grafikkarte überhaupt in dem kleinen Gehäuse zu verbauen.
Bei den synthetischen Benchmarks erzielt das Gespann aus Core i9-9900K und RTX 2080 Ti die besten Ergebnisse. Nur die Nvidia Titan RTX kann sich in einzelnen Tests noch etwas absetzen. Allerdings leidet die Leistung der Titian RTX aufgrund des deutlich schwächeren Prozessors etwas. Dadurch kann sich der Corsair One i160 im 3DMark 11 an die Spitze setzen.

Gaming Performance
Mit der hier verbauten Kombination zielt Corsair ganz klar auf den 4K-Gaming-Bereich. Nahezu alle aktuellen Spiele lassen sich mit diesem Setup in 2160p flüssig darstellen. In der höchsten Auflösung wird die GeForce RTX 2080 Ti nur von der Nvidia Titan RTX übertroffen, wenngleich dieser Vorsprung keineswegs spürbar ist. In geringeren Auflösungen kann unser Testsystem mit der Nvidia Titan RTX aufgrund der schwächeren CPU nicht mithalten.
Wie schon bei den CPU-Tests haben wir auch die Grafikkarte über einen längeren Zeitraum belastet, um zu analysieren, wie sich diese unter Last verhält. Dafür nutzen wir The Witcher 3 mit dem Ultra-Preset. Während des Tests ist die Leistung der GeForce RTX 2080 Ti nur minimal geringer als beim Start. Ein fps-Verlust von 5 lässt sich durchaus verkraften, und das Spiel läuft in 1080p mit durchschnittlich 131 Bildern pro Sekunde. Bei den gemessenen Frametimes gibt es ebenfalls ein konstantes Ergebnis ohne nennenswerte Einbrüche.

Emissionen - nicht sehr leise, aber keine Temperaturprobleme
Geräuschemissionen
Der Corsair One i160 ist im 2D-Betrieb sehr leise, wenngleich unter Last auch die verbauten Lüfter ordentlich aufdrehen können. In der Oberseite befindet sich ein 140-mm-Lüfter. Des Weiteren ist die Grafikkarte im Bereich der Spannungswandler zusätzlich noch mit einem kleinen Axiallüfter versehen, um hier etwaigen Temperaturproblemen unter Last vorzubeugen. Außerdem ist auch das kleine SFX-600-Watt-Netzteil mit einem Lüfter versehen. Auch dieser war beim Stresstest deutlich hörbar.
Alles in allem ist das System auch unter Volllast nicht nervig. Die Lüftersteuerung arbeitet gut, und ein ständiges Hoch- und Runterregeln der Drehzahlen war nicht zu vernehmen.
Temperatur und Energiebedarf
Obwohl das massive Gehäuse überwiegend aus Aluminium gefertigt ist und somit auch zur Wärmeabfuhr dient, heizt sich das Gehäuse bei unserem einstündigen Stresstest ordentlich auf. Auf der Oberseite messen wir ca. 43 °C, wenngleich die Front mit 38 °C nur 5 °C kühler ist. An den Seiten ist die Temperatur aufgrund des Luftstroms spürbar kühler. Dies ist der Kühlkonstruktion geschuldet, denn über die beiden Seiten wird kühlere Raumtemperatur angesaugt und nach oben auf das Gehäuse befördert.
Beim Stresstest nutzen wir FurMark und Prime95 gleichzeitig und belasten das System für mindestens eine Stunde. Dabei erhitzte sich der Intel Core i9-9900K auf 80 °C, was kein kritischer Wert ist. Bei der GeForce RTX 2080 Ti notieren wir mit 72 °C die höchste Temperatur unter Last. Damit ist auch die Grafikkarte noch weit von einem kritischen Bereich entfernt. Die Taktraten von CPU und GPU sind beim Stresstest ebenfalls nicht auffällig. Mit 4,3 GHz arbeitet der Prozessor unter Last noch recht anständig, wenngleich dieser in einem besser belüfteten Gehäuse und mehr Leistungsaufnahme mehr leisten könnte.
Beim Energiebedarf sticht das System mit einem geringen Verbrauch im Leerlauf hervor. Nur 51,5 Watt haben wir gemessen. Das ist im Vergleich zu unseren anderen Textsystemen mit Abstand der beste Wert. Beim Spielen steigt dieser Wert auf 359 Watt. Dies ist aber noch immer ein recht gutes Ergebnis, denn die Kombination aus AMD Ryzen 7 2700X und Nvidia Titan RTX führt das Feld mit 437 Watt an.

Fazit - der perfekte Gaming-PC im Kleinformat
Mit dem Corsair One i160 bietet der Hersteller ein Premiumprodukt, welches in puncto Leistung durchweg überzeugen konnte. Dass man es nicht jedem recht machen kann, ist klar, und das ging auch uns so, denn mit der herkömmlichen Festplatte hat Corsair bei uns keine Freudensprünge ausgelöst. Dies ist allerdings auch schon der größte negative Kritikpunkt unsererseits.
Schlussendlich präsentiert Corsair mit dem One i160 den perfekten Gaming-PC. Ein schneller Prozessor und die schnellste Grafikkarte, die es derzeit auf dem Markt gibt, sorgen zusammen für durchweg hohe Frame-Raten in fast allen Auflösungen und Spielen. Dafür müssen die Käufer jedoch auch ordentlich in die Tasche greifen: Für 3.700 Euro wechselt der PC seinen Besitzer. Außerdem gibt es noch eine Garantie von zwei Jahren auf die verbauten Komponenten.
Wer sich also nicht zutraut, einen eigenen PC zusammenzustellen, oder wer einfach das kompakte Design liebt, kann getrost zu dem Corsair One i160 greifen. Auch in naher Zukunft wird der PC nicht zum alten Eisen gehören.
Immerhin verbaut Corsair Standardkomponenten, sodass ein späteres Aufrüsten nicht unmöglich ist.
Der Corsair One i160 bietet eine perfekte Gaming-Performance auf sehr kleinem Raum. Die innovativen Kühleinheiten funktionieren gut und sorgen für den reibungslosen Betrieb unter Volllast.
