The OnePlus 3 at Rs 28,000 is a better value for money. So are the iPhone 6S and the Nexus 6P. You will have to pay a little more to get the iPhone 6S and the Nexus 6P though.

The 6-inch display is bright even in sunlight and produces lively colors. The big battery size of the new Samsung Galaxy A9 pro is wonderful and easily lasts more than a day in a single charge. Camera performance in capturing photographs is decent but video recording could have been better. Good quality images can be produced in both daylight and night time. Button placement is perfect.

The powerhouse gaming performance should also equal powerful work performance as well, especially those looking for a bigger screen and fingerprint sensor security. It is a shame there isn't any S-Pen support but the larger battery should guarantee a bit more than a full working day for most working professionals.

Modell: Mit dem Debut des Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro scheint Samsung eine ganz besondere Benutzergruppe ansprechen zu wollen: Jene die ständig reisen und ihre Smartphones nicht andauernd aufladen wollen. Im Wesentlichen besteht der Körper des A9 Pro aus einer Kombination von Glas und Metall. Die vordere und die hintere Abdeckung werden durch Gorilla Glass 4 geschützt und durch einen Metallrahmen verbunden. Das Smartphone ist 80,9 x 161,7 x 7,9 mm groß und wiegt zirka 210 g. Das A9 Pro fühlt sich robust an, wirkt aber in der Hand wegen des großen Bildschirms und Akkus recht klobig. Daher ist es unmöglich das Gerät mit nur einer Hand zu bedienen. Samsungs Fähigkeiten gute Bildschirme herzustellen, zeigt sich auch beim 6 Zoll großen Super-AMOLED-Bildschirm des A9 Pro mit Full-HD-Auflösung (1.920 x 1.080 Pixel) und ausgezeichneten Blickwinkeln sogar im Außeneinsatz unter grellem Sonnenlicht. Samsung behauptet, dass das A9 Pro Farben zu 100% darstellen kann, wodurch Bilder und Videos natürlicher aussehen. Zudem verfügt das A9 Pro über eine Farbtiefe von 16M, was für hellere und lebendigere Bilder bei tieferen Schwarztönen und gesättigteren Farben sorgt.
Die Größe des Rahmens wurde verringert, sodass der Bildschirm größer und für den User etwas umfassender wirkt. Unter dem Bildschirm befindet sich ein physikalischer Home-Button, der auch als Fingerabdruckleser fungiert. Die Eigenschaft, die das A9 Pro am meisten definiert, ist sein massiver 5.000 mAh Akku, der für eine um Stunden längere Akkulaufzeit sorgt. Mit dem neuen, ausdauernderen Akku verspricht Samsung eine Internet-Verwendungszeit (3G) von bis zu 17 Stunden, eine Video-Wiedergabe-Zeit von 26 Stunden und eine Sprechzeit von bis zu 33 Stunden. Zudem unterstützt der ausdauernde Akku Fast-Charging, was die Ladezeit verkürzt. Das A9 Pro wird mit vorinstalliertem Android 6.0 Marshmallow ausgeliefert. In seinem Herzen befinden sich ein 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 Octa-Core-Prozessor und 4 GB RAM. Damit ist das A9 Pro für Alltagsaufgaben gut gerüstet. Öffnen, Schließen und Umschalten zwischen Apps funktioniert flüssig mit minimalen Verzögerungen und Stottern. Das Phone verfügt über 32 GB internen Speicher und die Speicherkapazität kann via microSD-Karte um bis zu 256 GB erweitert werden. Das sollte für virtuelle Sammler mehr als ausreichen. Weiters hat Samsung das A9 Pro mit einer 16 MP Kamera an der Rückseite und einer 8 MP Frontkamera ausgestattet. Die f/1.9-Blende ermöglicht Fotografie unter schlechten Lichtbedingungen, während optische Bildstabilisierung (OIS) hilft, Unschärfe in Fotos und Videos zu reduzieren. Das Phone kann 4K videos in 1080p-Auflösung bei@ 30 fps aufzeichnen.

Serie: The Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 is a handset for those after a compact phone, one on an affordable contract, or a device that can be bought SIM-free. Most of Samsung’s phones of previous years were plastic, even the fairly expensive devices. The Samsung Galaxy A3 demonstrates just how far the company has moved on from that style. This device is composed of glass and metal, with barely any plastic on show at all. The front and back glass are big-brand Gorilla Glass 4, and the rear features curved edges for a softer feel. Beneath the screen is a reliable fingerprint scanner couched between the two soft keys, just as in Samsung’s larger phones. Also included is a headphone jack. In addition, the Galaxy A3 is water resistant. Its IP68 certification means that an accidental drop in water is unlikely to cause damage. As is the case with the majority of new handsets, the Samsung Galaxy A3 has a USB Type-C charging port rather than micro-USB. The phone has just 16 GB of storage, which is a little disappointing since the device offers only 9.8 GB of available internal memory and 481 MB of RAM without installing any apps. However, there is a slot for a single microSD card in the tray. The Samsung Galaxy A3 has an unusual speaker placement. Rather than sitting on the bottom of the device, it can be found on the side, above the power button. Speaker quality is fine, with enough volume to cut through some ambient noise.
For display, the Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with punchy colors that can be calibrated to suit the user’s taste. For those who like a super-vivid look, it’s there. If a more relaxed colour is desired, it's possible to just switch to the "Basic" mode in Settings to achieve this. The Samsung Galaxy A3 has a 13 MP rear camera with a f/1.9 lens. However, the camera lacks optical image stabilization. Around the front sits an 8 MP selfie camera. It's capable of producing decent images in good light. The phone uses an Exynos 7870, a CPU with eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 1.6 GHz, and a Mali-T830 GPU. Samsung also includes masses of pre-installed apps, which aren't entirely welcome since the Samsung Galaxy A3’s storage is limited. There's the Microsoft Apps suite, including Word and OneNote. S Health is probably the most interesting of Samsung’s own apps. This is now a full fitness and 'wellness’ platform, allowing the user to simply track steps, but also log user’s food and GPS-track hikes, cycles and walks as well. There's only a small increase in battery capacity from 2,300 to 2,350 mAh. The 2,350 mAh battery is well suited to the Samsung Galaxy A3’s small screen, and when used in a way that exploits this, the Galaxy A3 lasts for some time. The 2017 Galaxy A3 is a low-end smartphone with all the necessary features of a high-end device. Hence, the slightly higher price tag is justified.
