Das  Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga ist ein hochwertiges Business-Notebook, ein ultraleichter 2-in-1-Laptop. Mit vier flexiblen Modi passt es sich an jede Situation an, sei es, um zu arbeiten, präsentieren, gestalten, oder verbinden. Eine Besonderheit ist ein eingebauter, wiederaufladbarer Stift mit voller Färbungsfunktionalität in allen Office-2016-Apps. Das X1 Yoga erfüllt zwölf militärische Anforderungen und ist nach mehr als 200 Qualitätskontrollen bereit, es mit allem aufzunehmen. Das industrielle Design des ThinkPad X1 Yoga (3. Generation) ähnelt dem Design des ThinkPad X1 Carbon (6. Generation): ein elegantes, robustes Gehäuse, das eine Lenovo-Tastatur sowie Premium-Komponenten umhüllt. Das schwarze, spiegelnde ThinkPad-Logo ist in den Deckel eingelassen; der rote Punkt über dem 'i' pulsiert, wenn der Akku geladen wird oder sich der Laptop mit geschlossenem Deckel im Schlafmodus befindet. Ein markantes 'X1'-Logo sitzt in der Ecke gegenüber. Das Yoga benötigt einen breiteren Bildschirmrand, um als Tablet leichter genutzt zu werden. Daher ist es etwas größer, es ist 333 mm breit, 229 mm tief, 17,05 mm dick. Es wiegt auch wesentlich mehr, ganze 1,4 kg - das X1 Carbon wiegt 1,13 kg. Farblich bietet das neue X1 Yoga etwas für jeden Stil, entweder traditionelles Schwarz oder modernes Silber.

Das X1 Yoga ist das einzige Business-Notebook der Welt mit einem OLED-Display. Farben wirken kräftiger, der Kontrast zwischen dunklen und hellen Bereichen ist ebenfalls wesentlich schärfer. Egal ob man eine Präsentation vorbereitet oder sich ein Video ansieht, der 14-Zoll-Bildschirm ist einfach umhauend. Das teuerste Modell ist mit LTE, NFC sowie Dolby-Vision ausgestattet und erreicht eine Bildschirmhelligkeit von 500 nits (die anderen Varianten haben eine Obergrenze von 300 nits). Der große Vorteil von Dolby-Vision sind hellere Farben und dunklere Schwarztöne, was besonders bei Videobearbeitung nützlich ist. Das 14-Zoll-ThinkPad-X1-Yoga (3. Generation) ist mit Intel Core-i5/i7 Prozessoren achter Generation, 8 oder 16 GB Arbeitsspeicher und SSD-Speicher mit bis zu 1 TB bestückt. Die Komponenten liefern bei den meisten Aufgaben schnelle Leistung, für Spiele sind sie weniger geeignet. Die Akkulaufzeit entspricht beinahe exakt der des Carbon-Laptops, man muss ihn erst nach 15,5 Stunden wieder aufladen. Das X1 Yoga wird außerdem mit Lenovos ThinkPad-Pen-Pro-Stift verkauft. Der nahe dem Fingerabdruckleser eingesteckte Stift macht das Notebook zu einem besonders praktischen Gerät für Nutzer, die es gewohnt sind, sich mit Windows-Ink Notizen zu machen oder Bilder und Präsentationen zu beschriften. Der Stift funktioniert sehr gut auf dem Touchscreen. Ein weiteres Merkmal des X1 Yoga ist ein materieller Verschluss für die 720-p-Webcam, der die Privatsphäre gewährleistet. In Sachen Schnittstellen stehen zwei USB-C-Thunderbolt-3.0-Anschlüsse, zwei gewöhnliche USB-3.0-Anschlüsse, eine HDMI-Schnittstelle, ein Audioanschluss, sowie Mikro-SD- und Mikro-SIM-Steckplätze auf der Hinterseite zur Verfügung.

Moreover, they’ve done so without doing any major overhaul of the design – something rarely seen (successfully) on a laptop. Unfortunately, a subpar battery life and exorbitant price tag might give even the most eager executive a cause for pause. It’s expensive, but makes itself worth considering if your shortlist contains the likes of the Microsoft Surface Pro and even the Mac. If you already use last year’s ThinkPad X1 Yoga though, and are contemplating upgrading, kindly walk away from this review.

Lenovo:

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrierte Grafikkarte (GT2-Ausbau, 24 EUs), welche in einigen Kaby-Lake-CPUs (Refresh, ULV-Modelle, 15 Watt TDP) verbaut wird. Technisch identisch zur HD Graphics 620 in den Kaby-Lake Modellen aus 2016.
