Das Lenovo ThinkPad W550s 20E2-000PGE ist eine fähige mobile Workstation, die dennoch elegant und diskret aussieht. Das Design wurde mit dem klassischen ThinkPad-Design wie klaren Linien, der legendären hochwertigen Tastatur mit Trackpoint, dem UltraNav Touchpad und Hinweise von roten Highlights auf der dunkelgrau texturierten Oberfläche einfach gehalten. Sogar die oberen Abdeckungen mit winzigen Lenovo- und ThinkPad-Logos in den Ecken sehen minimalistisch aus. Im Inneren ist das, was bei einer Workstation zählt und das Lenovo ThinkThinkPad W550s 20E2-000PGE hält mit einem Intel Core i7-5500U-Prozessor mit einer Taktrate von 2,4 GHz, 16 GB DDR3L 1600MHz RAM, einer NVIDIA Quadro K620M GPU und einer 512 GB SSD sicherlich was es verspricht. Die Benutzerschnittstelle ist ein schöner, matter, 15,5 Zoll großer 3K-Bildschirm mit ausgezeichnetem Kontrast und guter Farbgenauigkeit. Das Lenovo ThinkPad W550s-20E1000BPB ist eine leistungsstarke mobile Workstation, die unsanfte Verwendung aushält, da sie 11 Militärstandard-Tests besteht. Es braucht nicht weiter erwähnt werden, dass das Gerät ein solides Gehäuse hat, das robust ist und dennoch ein sehr schlankes, stromlinienförmiges Profil aufweist. If you needed to do heavy duty video work or encoding, you might want to take a look at the W540 instead because the CPU's you can pick from can have as many as 4 cores or double what you can get with the W550s.

Lenovo:
Lenovo („Le“ vom englischen legend, novo (Latein) für neu) wurde 1984 als chinesische Computerhandelsfirma gegründet. Ab 2004 war die Firma der größte Laptop-Hersteller Chinas und nach der Übernahme der PC-Sparte von IBM im Jahr 2005 der viertgrößte weltweit. Neben Desktops und Notebooks stellt das Unternehmen Monitore, Beamer, Server etc her und hat sich auf die Entwicklung, Herstellung und Vermarktung von Unterhaltungselektronik, Personalcomputern, Software, Unternehmenslösungen und damit verbundenen Dienstleistungen spezialisiert.
Im Jahr 2016 belegte das Unternehmen weltweit den ersten Platz bei den Computerverkäufen. Auch 2023 hatte es ihn noch inne bei ca 23% Weltmarktanteil. Wichtige Produktreihen sind Thinkpad, Legion und Ideapad.
2011 wurde die Mehrheit der Medion AG übernommen, einem europäischen Computer-Hardware-Hersteller. 2014 wurde Motorola Mobility gekauft, wodurch Lenovo einen Schub am Smartphone-Markt erreichte.
Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
