MagyarComputex 2019 | Leichtere und dünnere Workstations: Razer Blade 15 und Blade Pro 17 Studio Edition mit Nvidia RTX 5000
Nachdem Razer den Gamer-Markt umgekrempelt hat, folgen nun mobile Workstations als neue harte Konkurrenz für die Etablierten der Branche. Die bereits bekannten Power-Laptops Razer Blade 15 und Blade Pro 17 werden dank der neuen Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000-GPU auf Turing-Basis workstationtauglich und nennen sich dann jeweils "Studio Edition".
Sowohl das 15,3- als auch das 17,3 Zoll-Design kommen in der Studio Edition jeweils standardmäßig in der hellen "Mercury White"-Farbe, die es bisher optional für das Gamer-Blade 15 gab. Die Features entsprechen denen der Gamer-Editionen, etwa Kompatibilität mit der Thunderbolt3-eGPU Core X - die größte Änderung liegt bei den integrierten Quadro-GPUs statt der RTX-Varianten.
Eine für manche nicht unwichtige Änderung betrifft allerdings auch die CPU des Blade Pro 17. In der Studio Edition kann auch der Intel Octa-Core Intel Core i9-9880H konfiguriert werden, das reguläre Modell bleibt maximal beim Hexa-Core-i7 9750H. Und auch das Blade 15 bietet in der Workstation-Variante eine Besonderheit und zwar eine OLED-Option, die es beim Blade Pro 17 nicht gibt.
Wer sich wundert - nein, Intels Xeon-CPUs inklusive ECC-RAM-Option sind aktuell nicht vorgesehen, was einige Interessenten vermutlich abstoßen könnte, mal sehen, ob sich da längerfristig was an der Strategie ändert. Beide Studio Editionen sollen zu Jahresende verfügbar sein - Preise und konkrete Termine liegen allerdings noch nicht vor.

With support for desktop PCIe graphic cards like the NVIDIA Quadro RTX GPU, Razer Core X can greatly accelerate the work flow and reduce lengthy rendering times. Applications allowing for dual-GPU rendering will enable users to put both the internal laptop and external desktop graphics to work to provide even better performance.
