Gaming-Laptops sind heutzutage ein üblicher Begriff, da viele Personen sich von Desktops zu angenehmeren Laptops mit fast ähnlicher Spezifikation und Fähigkeiten wenden. Darüberhinaus bieten Gaming-Laptops für Aufgaben mit hohen Anforderungen, wie Grafikbearbeitung und -design, ausreichend Leistung. Das Gigabyte P57x V6-CF2 ist ein Mittelklasse-Gaming-Laptop, der weniger kostet als viele aktuelle Gaming-Laptops am Markt, doch dennoch ausreichend leistungsstark für zweckmäßiges Gaming ist. Das Design von Gaming-Laptops neigt dazu auffälliger zu sein. Dies ist bei Marken wie Alienware, der Asus ROG und Acers Predator Serie üblich, doch das Gigabyte P57x V6-CF2 ist vorwiegend einfach schwarz ohne viel Farbe oder Design beim Aussehen. Ist es geschlossen, so sieht es wie ein prähistorischer, klobiger Laptops aus. Trotz der orangen Streifen entlang der Seiten schafft es das Gigabyte langweilig und veraltet auszusehen. Andererseits wirkt es dank des klobigen Aussehens sehr robust. Es ist auch sehr robust gebaut und wirkt als ob es etwas rauere Behandlung aushalten würde. Der interessante Teil befindet sich vorwiegend im Inneren. Es verfügt über einen Intel Core i7-6700HQ Prozessor der sechsten Generation, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, eine integrierte Intel HD Graphics 530 GPU und eine eigenständige Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 GDDR5 8 GB Grafikkarte und unterstützt Nvidias Optimus Technology. Der Hauptspeicher kann bei diesem Laptop auf maximal 32 GB aufgerüstet werden. In puncto Speicher unterstützt das Gigabyte P57x V6-CF2 drei verschiedene Speichersysteme. Es verfügt über einen 2,5-Zoll-Festplattenschacht, einen M.2-Solid-State-Disk-Slot und einen Wechsel-Schacht. Speicher steht diesem Laptop in Form einer 256 GB SSD und einer 1.000 GB Festplatte zur Verfügung. Dieses Hybrid-Speicher-System sorgt sowohl für schnelleres Hochfahren von der SSD als auch für eine große Speicherkapazität auf der herkömmlichen Festplatte. Mit der M.2-SSD kann es eine Leserate von 2.000 MB/s erreichen, was bis zu viermal schneller ist als bei der traditionellen SSD-Technologie. Das kann die Zeit fürs Booten sehr verringern und beschleunigt das Laden von Programmen. Zudem verfügt das Gigabyte P57x V6-CF2 über ein Super Multi DVD-RW-Laufwerk. Das ist ein zusätzliches Feature, welches Brennen und Lesen von Disks unterwegs ermöglicht. Allerdings können User das Laufwerk gegen eine andere Festplatte oder eine SSD austauschen. Ein Caddy für die Installation wird mitgeliefert. Beim Bildschirm dieses Laptops handelt es sich um einen 17,3 Zoll großen, entspiegelten Full-HD-IPS-LCD. Für Gaming-Laptops ist ein großer Bildschirm wegen einer realistischeren Gaming-Umgebung üblich und dieser hier ist gut geeignet. Dank Entspiegelung werden Reflexionen sehr gut verhindert, was für Gamer unterwegs gut ist. Allerdings sieht das Bild auf entspiegelten Bildschirm etwas stumpfer aus als auf glänzenden Bildschirmen. Das Gigabyte P57x V6-CF2 ist mit einer Anti-Ghosting-30-Key-Rollover-Tastatur mit Hintergrundlicht in voller Größe ausgestattet. Anti-Ghosting-Tastaturen sind ein normales Merkmal von Gaming-Laptops, um zu vermeiden, dass Tastenbetätigungen nicht registriert werden, wenn mehrere Tasten gleichzeitig gedrückt werden. Das ist gut, denn Gamer drücken normalerweise mehrere Tasten gleichzeitig. Das Gigabyte P57x V6-CF2 verfügt über eine Fan-Tweak-Funktion, mit welcher die Lüftergeschwindigkeit auf Normal- oder Gaming-Modus eingestellt werden kann. Gigabyte: Gigabyte Technology ist ein 1986 gegründeter taiwanesischer Hersteller von Computerhardware, der vor allem für seine Motherboards und Grafikkarten bekannt ist. Gigabyte bietet eine breite Palette an Produkten an, darunter Motherboards, Grafikkarten, Laptops, Monitore, Systeme und Komponenten. Gigabytes Laptops bieten Gaming- und Kreativfunktionen für unterwegs. Gigabyte-Monitore bieten 4K Pro Gaming.
Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M: Schnelle Notebook-Grafikkarte der High-End-Klasse aus der GeForce-GTX-900M-Baureihe. Basiert auf dem Maxwell-Chip GM204.
Diese Grafikkarten sollten alle modernen Spiele flüssig darstellen können. Anspruchsvolle Spiele müssen jedoch in mittlerer Detailstufe gespielt werden. Ältere und weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele wie die Sims Serie können auch in hohen Detailsstufen flüssig dargestellt werden.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Mobile: High-End Notebook-Grafikkarte mit 8 GDDR5-Grafikspeicher und zweitschnellste mobile Pascal-GPU nach der GTX 1080. Verfügt über 2.048 Shadereinheiten, taktet dafür jedoch etwas niedriger als die Desktop-Version (1.920 Shader). Die Max-Q Version für dünne Laptops (mit selber Produktbezeichnung) taktet nochmals geringer, bietet jedoch auch weniger TDP.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Mobile: High-End Notebook-Grafikkarte mit 6 GDDR5-Grafikspeicher und drittschnellste mobile Pascal-GPU nach der GTX 1080 und GTX 1070. Verfügt über 1.280 Shadereinheiten und taktet identisch wie die Desktop-Version.

6700HQ: Auf der Skylake-Architektur basierender Quad-Core-Prozessor für Notebooks. Integriert neben den vier CPU-Kernen (inkl. Hyper-Threading) auch eine HD Graphics 530 Grafikeinheit und wird in 14-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt.
Intel Kaby Lake:
i7-7700HQ: Auf der Kaby-Lake-Architektur basierender Quad-Core-Prozessor für Notebooks. Integriert neben den vier CPU-Kernen (inkl. Hyper-Threading) auch eine HD Graphics 630 Grafikeinheit und wird im verbesserten 14-Nanometer-Prozess gefertigt.

Most smartphones and only a few tablets fall into this weight category. Only a few smartphones are heavier and should rather be considered tablets.

Ein Laptop mit diesem Gewicht ist vergleichsweise schwer und weniger auf Mobilität ausgelegt als auf Verwendung am Schreibtisch. Die Geräte glänzen daher auch eher weniger mit Akkulaufzeit als mit großem Bildschirm und höherer Leistung.
74.57%: Diese Bewertung ist schlecht. Locker drei Viertel der Modelle werden besser beurteilt. Das ist eher keine Kaufempfehlung. Auch wenn Verbalbewertungen in diesem Bereich gar nicht so schlecht klingen ("genügend" oder "befriedigend"), meist sind es Euphemismen, die eine Klassifikation als unterdurchschnittliches Notebook verschleiern.
