Asus UX360CA-C4019T
Das Asus UX360CA-C4019T, auch bekannt als Asus ZenBook Flip, ist ein schlankes, elegantes Gerät mit vielen Features. Das elegant gestaltete ZenbBook ist aus solidem Aluminium gefertigt, was ein ultraschlankes Profil von nur 13,9 mm ermöglicht. Der Bildschirmdeckel weist ein metallisches Drehmuster auf und das Gerät ist in zwei Farben erhältlich: Icicle Gold und Mineral Grey. Ein Schlüsselmerkmal des Asus UX360CA-C4019T sind seine robusten Scharniere, die eine Rotation um ganze 360 Grad ermöglichen. Beim Bildschirm handelt es sich um einen 13,3 Zoll großes LED-Touchscreen mit Full-HD-Auflösung. Die Farben werden hervorragend dargestellt und die Übersichtlichkeit ist beeindruckend, obwohl es sich um die FHD-Variante und nicht um die QHD+-Version handelt. However, this new 360-degree hinge version ultimately disappoints. Issues include a drop in build quality, a problematic trackpad and a display that, while good in several respects, has a dated and highly reflective screen architecture. Having liked and loved several previous mid-range ZenBooks, we were hoping to have similar feelings about the Asus ZenBook Flip UX360CA. Its concept is sound, and so is the hinge that brings that concept to life. However, the new benefits are outweighed by the new problems. Hopefully they’ll be addressed in a future update of this design.

The Lenovo Yoga 700 is a little faster for roughly the same price as the UX360CA, but if you’re looking to save some money and aren’t fussed about the hinge, then I’d still recommend the UX305CA as my mid-range laptop of choice. It might not be a hybrid, but it’s just as fast as the UX360CA and shares the same high-end build quality.

It’s great to see a notebook that offers more than just a lower price. The Zenbook Flip is no doubt a luxury product, with its ultra-thin design, luxury feel and solid performance. Even if you don't need the touchscreen, it’s a product that's a worthy competitor to the Apple Macbook. There are a few things that hold it back a little, with a weaker hinge than I'd like and a highly reflective screen. But as a complete package, the UX360CA proves that it’s possible to have a fantastic ultraportable notebook with minimal compromise.

The Zenbook Flip is no doubt a luxury product, with its ultra-thin design, luxury feel and solid performance. Even if you don't need the touchscreen, it’s a product that's a worthy competitor to the Apple Macbook. There are a few things that hold it back a little, with a weaker hinge than I'd like and a highly reflective screen. But as a complete package, the UX360CA proves that it’s possible to have a fantastic ultraportable notebook with minimal compromise.

Yes, sure, it costs a bit more but adds tons of other features that the older model didn’t have while keeping what’s important. It has the same nice-looking, premium and sturdy chassis, excellent keyboard – although the LED-backlit illumination is still missing – and touchpad, it’s thin and light and adds a cool 360-degree rotatable hinge design.
