Der Intel Core i7-1355U ist eine High-End-Notebook-CPU auf Basis der Raptor Lake-U (RPL-U) Serie (Alder-Lake-Architektur), die im Januar 2023 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU bietet 2 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 12 Threads) und takten von 1,7 bis 5 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,2 - 3,7 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Weiters unterstützt der i7-1355U vPro-Essentials -Management-Features (eingeschränkt im Vergleich zu den Enterprise Features des i7-1365U).
Performance
Durch die hohen Taktraten, ist die Performance etwas oberhalb des alten Core i7-1265U (max 4.8 GHz). Wie üblich bei Alder Lake ist die Performance stark abhängig von der Kühlung und den TDP Settings.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 1355U sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,3 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt LPDDR5-6400. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt weiterhin nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i7-1355U ist mit 15 Watt (PL1) TDP und 55 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Gefertigt wird der Prozessor im weiter verbesserten Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm SuperFin).

Der Intel Core i9-14900 ist ein High-End-Prozessor auf Basis der Raptor-Lake-Architektur. Der Basistakt beträgt 2,0 GHz und kann bei optimalen Bedingungen bis zu 5,8 GHz erreichen. Die insgesamt 32 Threads unterteilen sich, wie beim Topmodell (Intel Core i9-14900K) weiterhin in 8 P- und 16 E-Kerne. Die 8 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores) bieten zudem Hyperthreading, womit in Summe 32 Threads gleichzeitig verarbeitet werden können. Beim non-K-Modell handelt es sich um einen sparsamen Prozessor. Beim Arbeitsspeicher gibt es nach wie vor die Option, auf DDR4 oder DDR5 zu setzen. Performance Im Vergleich zum Intel Core i9-14900K bietet der Core i9-14900 die gleiche Anzahl an physischen Recheneinheiten. Aufgrund der geringeren Leistungsaufnahme liefert der Intel Core i9-14900 jedoch etwas weniger Leistung. Der Einsatzzweck bezieht sich in erster Linie auf kompakte PCs, die nur begrenzte Kühlmöglichkeiten bieten.

Im Boost kann die Leistung des Prozessors auf bis zu 219 Watt ansteigen (PL2). Voraussetzungen sind aber eine sehr gute Kühlung. Gegenüber dem Intel Core i9-13900 hat sich die angegebene Leistungsaufnahme nicht verändert.

Der Intel Core i9-14900K ist ein High-End-Prozessor auf Basis der Raptor-Lake-Architektur, welche bereits beim Intel Core i9-13900K im letzten Jahr auf Alder-Lake folgte. Der Basistakt beträgt 3,2 GHz und kann bei optimalen Bedingungen bis zu 6 GHz erreichen. Die insgesamt 32 Threads unterteilen sich weiterhin in 8 P- und 16 E-Kerne. Die 8 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores) bieten zudem Hyperthreading, womit im Zusammenspiel mit den 16 energieeffizienten E-Cores in Summe 32 Threads gleichzeitig verarbeitet werden können. Wie bislang bieten die K-Modelle weiterhin einen frei wählbaren Multiplikator, was das Übertakten vereinfacht. Der Intel Core i9-14900K nutzt den gleichen CPU-Sockel (LGA 1700) wie der Intel Core i9-13900K. Somit muss man nicht zwangsläufig ein neues Mainboard herhalten, denn die 600er-Chipsätze unterstützen die neuen Prozessoren nach einem BIOS-Update. Auch beim Arbeitsspeicher gibt es nach wie vor die Option, auf DDR4 zu setzen.
Performance
Im Vergleich zum Intel Core i9-13900K bietet der Core i9-14900K weiterhin 8 P-Kerne, welche durch 16 weitere E-Cores bei anspruchsvollen Anwendungen entlastet werden und somit für eine sehr hohe Multi-Thread-Performance sorgen. Im Vergleich kann sich der Intel Core i9-14900K aber nur einen geringen Vorsprung erarbeiten. Die E-Cores kümmern sich in erster Linie um Hintergrundanwendungen. Die hybride Architektur vertraut dabei auf den Intel Thread Direktor, der für die richtige Zuteilung der Aufgaben zuständig ist. Die IPC konnte unterdessen nur leicht gesteigert werden. Als Neuerung beim Intel Core i9-14900K setzt der Hersteller verstärkt auf AI, welches auch beim Übertakten zum Einsatz kommt. Mit einem Klick im Intel Extreme Utility prüft das Tool das gesamte System und nimmt die nötigen Einstellungen vor.

Der Intel Core i9-14900K ist mit einer TDP von 125 Watt angegeben, was dem PL1-Wert entspricht. Im Boost kann die Leistung des Prozessors auf bis zu 253 Watt ansteigen (PL2). Voraussetzungen sind aber eine sehr gute Kühlung. Gegenüber dem Intel Core i9-13900K steigt die angegebene Leistungsaufnahme bei Einhaltung der Limits nicht. Anders sieht es aus, wenn die Limits deaktiviert werden. Da dieser Wert abhängig vom Gesamtsystem ist, können wir hierzu keine genaue Aussage treffen.
