Der Intel Core i5-14500 ist ein schneller und sparsamer Desktop-Prozessor auf Basis der Raptor-Lake-Architektur, die bereits 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Der Prozessor bietet einen Basistakt von 2,6 GHz und erreicht bis zu 5,0 GHz im Turbo. Die mit Alder-Lake eingeführte hybride CPU-Architektur wird auch bei den Raptor-Lake-Prozessoren eingesetzt. Im Vergleich zum Intel Core i5-13500 bietet der Intel Core i5-14500 allerdings nur einen geringen Vorteil. Die Anzahl der Kerne ist identisch und Intel hat beim Core i5-14500 nur die Taktraten der P- und E-Kerne minimal erhöht.
Performance
Aufgrund der gleichen Anzahl an physikalischen Recheneinheiten bietet der Intel Core i5-14500 gegenüber dem Intel Core i5-13500 nur einen minimalen Leistungsunterschied, welcher nur auf die erhöhten Taktraten zurückzuführen ist. Gegenüber dem noch älteren Intel Core i5-12500, welcher komplett ohne E-Kerne auskommen muss, fällt der Leistungsunterschied deutlich höher aus.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Intel Core i5-13500 bietet der Intel Core i5-14500 eine integrierte Grafikeinheit. Als Basis dient weiterhin die bereits weitverbreitete Intel Iris Xe-Architektur. Rein leistungstechnisch hat sich bei der neuen Intel UHD Graphics 770 nichts verändert.
Leistungsaufnahme
Die TDP des Intel Core i5-14500 beläuft sich auf 65 Watt, mit der Option, diese im Turbo auf bis zu 154 Watt zu erhöhen. Gegenüber dem Intel Core i5-13500 hat Intel an den TDP-Grenzen keine Änderungen vorgenommen.
Intel Core i7-1355U ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i7-1355U ist eine High-End-Notebook-CPU auf Basis der Raptor Lake-U (RPL-U) Serie (Alder-Lake-Architektur), die im Januar 2023 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU bietet 2 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 12 Threads) und takten von 1,7 bis 5 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,2 - 3,7 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Weiters unterstützt der i7-1355U vPro-Essentials -Management-Features (eingeschränkt im Vergleich zu den Enterprise Features des i7-1365U).
Performance
Durch die hohen Taktraten, ist die Performance etwas oberhalb des alten Core i7-1265U (max 4.8 GHz). Wie üblich bei Alder Lake ist die Performance stark abhängig von der Kühlung und den TDP Settings.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 1355U sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,3 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt LPDDR5-6400. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt weiterhin nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i7-1355U ist mit 15 Watt (PL1) TDP und 55 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Gefertigt wird der Prozessor im weiter verbesserten Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm SuperFin).
Intel Core i5-14500T ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i5-14500T ist ein sehr sparsamer Desktop-Prozessor auf Basis der Raptor-Lake-Architektur, die bereits im Oktober 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Der Prozessor bietet einen Basistakt von 1,7 GHz und erreicht bis zu 4,6 GHz im Turbo. Die hybride CPU-Architektur, welche mit Alder-Lake eingeführt wurde, kommt auch den Raptor-Lake-Prozessoren zugute. Der Namenszusatz T steht hierbei für ein besonders sparsames CPU-Modell und mit einer TDP von nur 35 Watt (PL1 = 35 Watt) sind diese Prozessoren für kleine, kompakte Systeme bestens geeignet.
Performance
Die geringe Leistungsaufnahme sorgt schlussendlich für eine etwas geringere Leistung im Vergleich zum Intel Core i5-14500. Je nachdem, wie das PL2 (92 Watt) definiert ist, kann es bei der Multi-Core-Leistung spürbare Unterschiede geben. Im Vergleich zum Intel Core i5-12500T ist der Intel Core i5-14500T aufgrund der höheren Anzahl an physischen Rencheneinheiten überlegen. Gegenüber dem Intel Core i5-13500T gibt es aufgrund der gleichen Anzahl an Recheneinheiten keinen spürbaren Leistungszuwachs.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Intel Core i5-13500T bietet der Intel Core i5-14500T eine integrierte Grafikeinheit. Als Basis dient weiterhin die Intel Iris Xe-Architektur. Rein leistungstechnisch hat sich bei der neuen Intel UHD Graphics 770 aber nicht viel verändert. Die iGPU des Intel Core i5-14500T taktet zudem 100 MHz höher, was aber keinen spürbaren Unterschied im Alltag ergibt.
