Der Intel Core i5-1240P ist eine Mid-Range Notebook-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet 4 der 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und alle 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 1,7 bis 4,4 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,2 - 3,3 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ ). Im Vergleich zum Core i5-1250P , bietet der i5-1240P eine geringer getaktete iGPU (-100 MHz) und nur "Essentials" vPro Management Features.
Performance
Durch die 12 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung deutlich oberhalb der alten 28 Watt 4-Kerner der Tiger Lake Serie liegen (wie z.B. dem i5-1145G7 ). Im Vergleich zu der H-Serie wird bei längerer Last aber der TDP die Leistung limitieren. Bei der Einzelkernperformance sollte der i5-1240P dank der neuen Architektur auch ähnlich schnelle Tiger Lake CPUs abhängen können.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 1250P sind 80 der 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,3 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 und LPDDR4x-4267. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i5-1240P ist mit 28 Watt TDP und 64 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Gefertigt wird der Prozessor im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).

Der Intel Processor N200 ist eine Notebook-CPU der Einstiegsklasse der Alder Lake-N Serie. Performance
Die Performance des N200 ist durch die Halbierung der Kerne deutlich schwächer als beim i3-N305. Die Einzelkernperformance ist aber aufgrund der fehlenden P-Kerne in Alder Lake-N eingeschränkt. Theoretisch sollte sich die Performance etwas unterhalb eines alten Core i5-8250U befinden (4 Kerne mit Hyperthreading, max 3,4 GHz, 15W).
Grafikeinheit
Alder Lake-N integriert eine Xe basierende Grafikeinheit mit bis zu 32 EUs (Execution Units). Diese sind alle im N200 aktiviert und takten von 450 - 750 MHz relativ gering. Durch die geringe Kernanzahl, Taktung und die Einschränkung auf Single-Channel-RAM, ist die Spieleleistung aber deutlich eingeschränkt.

Der kleine Alder-Lake-N-Chip integriert teilweise Wi-Fi 6E und Bluetooth 5.2 (im PCH). Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt Single-Channel DDR4-3200, DDR5-4800 und LPDDR5-4800. Performance
Die Performance des i3 ist stark abhängig von der Kühlung und den TDP Settings. Wenn alle 8 Kerne ausgelastet werden, sollte er eine gute Multi-Thread-Performance bieten, jedoch wird der TDP von 7 Watt, bei längerer Last die Leistung deutlich einschränken. Die Einzelkernperformance ist aber aufgrund der fehlenden P-Kerne in Alder Lake-N nicht sehr hoch.
