All said and done, would we recommend the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4? Without a doubt, yes! At its price point, it's just amazing how complete and fulfilling a device you're getting that can go toe-to-toe with devices that cost up to twice its price. It's hard to go wrong with this phone and we reckon many might even consider getting it as their secondary/backup device. It's also fine as your main device if your budget is tight, but as pointed above, the costlier devices do have their own appeal that you will appreciate when looking for an even more capable primary device.

Xiaomi continues to bring great value to consumers with its Redmi Note series. It has found the right formula for delivering an unrivaled device in its price point - solid design with some refinements for a more premium look and feel, a great design, fast fingerprint reader, smooth MIUI 8 navigation, an overall good performance with decent image quality. Although it fell short of its counterparts in battery mileage, the Redmi Note 4 is on-par in the other benchmark tests.

Last year, I thought the price of the Redmi Note 3 (RM849) was unbelievable but they did it again and even better with the Redmi Note 4. This is all because of the 14nm chipset, it has improved the performance, battery life, with no trouble of overheating. The picture quality has also improved as well, although it won't reach the high-tier phone levels, but I'm very satisfied with how the images turned out. But if I must complain anything about the phone, it's that the fingerprint sensor could use some work there and charging takes too long (no quick charge).

Budget-minded smartphones have come a long way, and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is one of the best examples of this. It feels more premium and polished than its price tag would suggest, and its battery life is simply phenomenal – even in comparison to flagship-tier smartphones.

The clever Helio X20’s CorePilot architecture gives a user the high performance A72’s, at the same time, two Cortex A53 clusters to save significant power. All three clusters work together to give one the optimal solution which yields performance and power. No chip company in the market today has engineered their brains to work in this manner.

We personally think that Xiaomi Note 4 is all in all a great device with some amazing features. The tests that we carried out are a proof in that case. This device is a good addition to the smartphone market in Pakistan. But the problem arises when take a look at the smartphone competition in the market. There are many other better and better phones available in the market that will hide Xiaomi’s availability therefore, instead of bringing the same old features that we get in any other smartphone, Xiaomi needs to come up with something new and unique that directly captures the market.

The Redmi Note 4 is not perfect – the camera still misses the beat – but it is a well-rounded package that one wouldn’t hesitate to recommend – especially if one needs a big screen and long battery life. Packed in a neat chassis, the smartphone performs great and is a compelling smartphone that gets a direct entry into any best-of lists. Interestingly, there’s nothing revolutionary in the Redmi Note 4, yet it’s a nice progression from the predecessor that fixes most of latter’s flaws and presents itself as a fantastic value-for-money device.

When Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 4, we had our doubts that it may just be a case one step forward, two steps back over the Redmi Note 3. The Snapdragon 650 processor was one of the star attractions of the device and dialing it back in favor of the Snapdragon 625 on the new model seemed like a significant drawback on paper.

The Redmi Note 4 isn’t a huge upgrade over the Redmi Note 3 in terms of core hardware, with simply a greater amount of storage and a faster processor, but the design changes are a huge improvement over its predecessor. If you don’t care about looks and can make do with less storage then the cheaper Redmi Note 3 may well meet your needs. The Redmi Note 4 remains a great buy, but the omission of Google Play support may put off some users. O2 and Giffgaff customers should also note the lack of support for 800MHz 4G.

On paper, the Redmi Note 4 might not seem like a game-changer as its predecessor, the Redmi Note 3. But once you look closely at the handset, you will realise that it has all the right changes and improvements that make it a worthy successor to the Redmi Note 3. What makes the handset even better is its pricing. Despite all the improvements it offers, Xiaomi has priced the Redmi Note 4 at the same level as the Note 3. In fact, the handset’s value for money ratio is now even higher since it comes with more storage. This means that for Rs 9,999, you get the 2GB/32GB variant of the Redmi Note 4 while paying an additional Rs 1,000 will get you the 3GB/32GB variant. For power users, Xiaomi is also offering a 4GB/64GB variant of the Redmi Note 4 for only Rs 12,999.

There are probably less reasons to upgrade if you are using Redmi Note 3. Assuming that the camera needs an improvement and the battery life is inadequate, these are the only reasons to upgrade to Redmi Note 4 according to me.

Upon turning on the device, you will be greeted with the MIUI 8.1 which is a custom OS from Xiaomi based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Xiaomi has told that an OTA of Android 7.0 Nougat preview will be available soon. And that’s pretty much exciting for us considering there are very few devices that run on latest Android Nougat update.

Xiaomi has been always been spot on with the pricing and including the new variant was also a good decision. The 2GB+16GB variant is priced at Rs 9,999, 3GB+32GB for Rs 10,999 and 4GB+64GB for Rs 12,999. There are some good offerings in the market, but considering Xiaomi’s reputation, the Redmi Note 4 will be a hot seller.

If you’re on the Redmi Note 3, you might not see a lot of reason to upgrade. For those looking for a new phone for under Rs 13,000, the market is flood with options and it can be confusing. Lenovo K6 Power is an obvious competitor that comes to mind, given the battery, and yes the camera is impressive on that one. But there’s no doubt that Xiaomi’s extra storage at Rs 12,999 is an excellent deal.

The Redmi Note 4 has some big shoes to fill. Xiaomi has sold over 3.6 million units of the Redmi Note 3 in 2016, according to the company. It will eventually discontinue the Redmi Note 3 in the days to come. The Redmi Note 4 will carry its legacy forward. If you already own a Redmi Note 3, you might just want to hold on to it for some more. If not, you should know that the Redmi Note 4 is a (really) good phone, but, also it has lots of competition. Mostly from Lenovo and Moto. Xiaomi's phone is an all-rounder, no doubt, but the company will have to pull up its socks (now more than ever) and make (more of) its phones available for buying.

The Redmi Note 4 is a great package with the only downsides being its hybrid SIM slot, lack of quick charging, and excess of preloaded apps. We think that the Redmi Note 4 will provide tough competition to other smartphones in its price segment, and even some priced a little higher. It scores very well in terms of design, battery life, and performance. For those who are looking for a smartphone with a big screen and great battery performance on a budget, the Redmi Note 4 is easy to recommend.

At its prices of Rs 9,999 (2 GB/ 32 GB), Rs 10,999 (3 GB/ 32 GB) and Rs 12,999 (4 GB/ 64 GB), the Redmi Note 4 is as tempting a deal for anyone looking for a rock solid smartphone as its predecessor was. Some might consider this to be a slight rather than a spectacular upgrade, although the design is more handsome and there are improvements in the camera and sound departments (which needed them) and the battery (which actually was already pretty good), but considering how well the Note 3 performed and did, even that is quite an achievement.

Xiaomi played a gamble by going in with a slightly lower-end chip given that Redmi Note 4 already had a pretty high bar to clear, thanks to the outstanding success Xiaomi's Redmi Note 3 tasted last year. In our opinion, this phone does a pretty competent job of building on the success of the Note 3. The performance of this device is not a let down by any means except slightly slow app load timings. Apart from that, Redmi Note 4 lived up to our expectations and even surpassed them in the battery department. If you can compromise a bit on the processor for a stress relieving battery, then this phone will not let you down.

I usually tend to overlook/ignore Twitter hashtags that company PR and marketing folks blatantly use to market their products. I somehow could not do it in the case of the Redmi Note 4. Flipkart (that will be exclusively selling the phone initially) calls it an all-rounder. I couldn't agree more. Because, simply put, the Redmi Note 4 is an all-rounder that's also very affordable. But is it any better than the Redmi Note 3? Yes and no.

As an everyday driver, the Redmi Note 4 will not disappoint. It’s all you’ll need for a smartphone that’ll function well and will last for a whole day of use on a single charge. Its build is also attractive and solid on hand. What will hinder the phone’s winning streak of balanced features and price is its availability. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is a phone that will change your buying habits in the future because it casts a different light on flagships. That’s not to say there aren’t some issues with the phone, but all of them are weird software issues that will likely either be fixed with updates or just a bit of tweaking to the system. When it all comes down to it there is simply no better deal on the market, regardless of price, and it’s extraordinarily difficult not to recommend the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 to anyone who’s willing to use a 5.5-inch phone and has a bit of patience to tweak software a bit out of the box. If you’re willing to take the steps necessary to fix some stuff that Xiaomi broke and don’t need a phone with the absolute cream of the crop specs, this is the phone you should get in Fall of 2016.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 advanced version and Redmi Pro standard version have much similarity in hardware, although they are different in price. Redmi Pro is better than Redmi Note 4 in design, holding feel and camera. But Redmi Note 4 has better price. And Redmi Note 4 advanced version is the first to improve to ROM 64GB . Under this kind of specs, Redmi Note 4 advanced version has better price. Therefore, if you care more about design and camera, Redmi Pro is more suitable for you. But if you don’t mind USB type c port and dual rear camera, Redmi Note 4 will be a good choice.

The Redmi Note 4 is a pretty good smartphone for its price. It's a capable performer and a decent snapper, but there's nothing exceptional about it. Except the price of course. If you're in India, you'd not get this variant, mind you. Due to an ongoing legal tussle with Ericsson, Xiaomi cannot sell MediaTek-based devices in India. So, like in the past, Xiaomi will come out with a Qualcomm-based Redmi Note 4 for the Indian market. Hence, there is also a chance, Xiaomi only launches one variant of the same which would then most likely be the 3GB variant, or so we hope.

Overall, the Redmi Note 4 from a distance looks to be a fairly impressive phone. It wasn’t all that long ago that things like aluminum unibody design, fast-focusing rear cameras, high quality, high density displays, and fingerprint scanners were impossible to find in a single package for a phone under 200 USD, and Xiaomi has managed to ship a phone with all of these things.
