At the price of Rs. 34,999 (including a Rs. 3,000 instant discount on ICICI bank card payments), the World Champions Edition of the smartphone costs the same as the standard variant, which is unusual for special editions. This means you get all the features and specifications of the smartphone along with all the customisation and design features of the special edition at no extra cost. If you are a fan of the Argentinian football team or just a football fan in general, there is no real downside to this phone. At the beginning of this review, we asked the question whether Redmi has done justice to this theme. In my opinion, the attention to detail, the thematic accessories, the high-quality back panel artwork, and the customised icons all make for a thoughtful design that fans are likely to appreciate.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is another accomplished mid-range smartphone from Xiaomi, and another worthwhile option in the sub-£500 range. It’s got a super-sharp OLED display, solid performance, stacks of storage, and an accomplished 200MP main camera. Stamina is decent, the design is notably improved, and the provision of a 120W charger in the box makes its rivals look like slackers. However, Xiaomi’s cluttered software continues to hold it back, even in its new HyperOS guise. You can get a cleaner experience, not to mention faster performance and wireless charging, from the ageing Pixel 7a for the same or even less money. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus’s cousin, the Poco X6 Pro, offers a broadly comparable experience (and much faster performance) for significantly less money.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G’s overall battery performance came in slightly below average in our database. Equipped with the same 5000 mAh battery as its predecessor, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G offered a moderate usage autonomy of 48 hours and 47 minutes, 6 hours less than the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, ranking it below average in our database. Moreover, it faced challenges when testing individual usages outdoors and indoors, especially when streaming music and browsing social apps outdoors. Also, the battery gauge was inaccurate, displaying 20% and 100% when the true battery capacity was closer to 17% and 93%, respectively. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G comes with a 120W charger, which helped the device to reach a full charge in only 33 minutes.

Is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ worth the money? Well, it all depends on what you’re looking for, but in general, I’d say yes… definitely. This phone is, first and foremost, really well-balanced. It provides all the basics and adds layers to them. It’s very comfortable to use, while it’s not too heavy. It feels like a quality product, has a great display, and a very solid main camera. Its speakers is also praise-worthy at this price range, and so on. Even HyperOS is an improvement over MIUI 14. This is an easy recommendation for me.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is undoubtedly a mixed bag then. Its serious pros – design, performance, display, battery and 200MP camera – are weighed down by cluttered software, egregious bloatware and weak supporting cameras. There’s just about enough here to be value for money at £449, and I doubt you’d be disappointed if you paid that. All the same, if I didn’t have a penny over £450 to spend on a handset, I’d still opt for the Google Pixel 7a (£383) – the clean version of Android and being the first to get timely updates means it remains the top choice at this budget, despite another solid showing from Xiaomi.

What makes it sweeter is that the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is a clear upgrade from its predecessor since the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G did not have IP68 protection, a display-mounted fingerprint sensor, or a bright 1,800-nit panel for outdoor viewing. If the raw performance, battery life, and imaging quality are a touch better than they are, we’d say the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is the budget-tier phone others will need to beat. But even without these advantages, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is still a good option and decent value for money if you need an affordable handset without superfluous add-ons. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G retails at S$569 (12GB RAM + 512GB storage) on its official channels, such as its Xiaomi authorised stores, Lazada, and Shopee. Colours available are Midnight Black, Aurora Purple, and Midnight White.

For a price of around $450, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G competes with other devices such as Samsung’s A-series smartphones, which come with less impressive Exynos chipsets, and Google’s A-series devices, which feature smaller displays and slower charging speeds. It’s in these aspects where the Xiaomi’s new midranger excels, although factors such as MIUI, and the modest camera performance need to be considered. Still, the Note 13 Pro+’s terrific-looking design and display, fast charging speeds, and fairly capable chipset are tempting reasons to go with Redmi’s new premium midranger, and at a price that’s less than most smartphones these days, this might be enough for budget-conscious buyers and Redmi fans alike. For a price of around $450, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G packs a terrific-looking design and display, fast charging speeds, and a fairly capable chipset, although factors such as MIUI, and the modest camera performance need to be considered.

The poster child of budget phones has historically been the domain of Xiaomi’s Redmi phone series, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G once again proves that you don’t have to pay through your nose if you want a a solid phone that covers most of the bases for just S$569 (12GB RAM + 512GB storage) – which, interestingly, is the same price as its predecessor (no price hikes, yay!). amsung's Galaxy A54 is a tempting alternative, given the strength of Samsung's ecosystem and the brand's promise of years of OS updates and security patches. But, it's a considerably pricier phone at S$654, and that only gets you 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. Furthermore, it's not a lot more powerful. Again, this just highlights the value proposition that the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ brings to the table.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is the best Redmi Note this year - it has the best design/display/chipset and the fastest charging solution among its Note peers. Plus, it is not that expensive, on the contrary. We did like the new curved glass design and very much appreciated the IP68 protection. The high-res Dolby Vision OLED and the pair of Dolby Atmos speakers are surely something anyone would like, and the Dimensity 7200 Ultra turned out not only adequate but chart-topping when it comes to mid-rangers. The good news continues with the super-fast charging and the very capable cameras with great photo and video quality. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has uninspiring battery life, something we do hope for Xiaomi to improve with an update.

Unfortunately, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is not yet available officially in South Africa, but international retail price is currently sitting at ~R8 100. This is incredibly affordable for a flagship, especially one with so many features. It is about R1 000 cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy A54 and packs about the same performance power and a comparable camera array and display. But the fast-charging on the device is industry-leading by our estimation. While the Xiaomi software is a bit bloated in the camera system and in the UI shell, these are small issues well worth the grand you could be saving. With that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is an excellent smartphone, one we think will be successful if it lands locally, and a fantastic alternative to Samsung’s midrange series of devices. We’re excited to see what the brand will come up with next.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus tries to offer a complete experience in the mid-range segment by sprinkling some premium perks like IP68 and Gorilla Glass Victus. It has a beautiful curved display, and the 200-megapixel camera is excellent in the daytime. However, the camera results are inconsistent at night, and the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra isn’t suitable for intensive games. The 5,000mAh battery can last a day, and the 120W charger can top it up in 25 minutes. Unfortunately, the phone still ships with Android 13 and plenty of bloatware. Xiaomi promised an update to HyperOS soon but hasn’t yet delivered it. If you are a casual user looking for a good display, a long-lasting battery and great cameras, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is a decent choice. However, you will need to contend with the average performance, bloatware-ridden software, and inconsistent low-light shots.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is a good smartphone, even a really good one. The AMOLED display completely convinces me, as does the main camera with 200 MP and the fast charging with 120 W. The smartphone is prettier—for my taste—than many other inexpensive smartphones and also has a high-quality finish. Another positive aspect is that you will be provided with security updates for up to four years, although Android 13, which is no longer quite as fresh as it used to be, leaves a somewhat bland aftertaste. I would like to say one thing about the points of criticism: Yes, I am grumbling about the fact that there is no wireless charging, no telephoto camera and the ultra-wide-angle camera is rather "average". But don't forget that you can buy this slicer from 450 euros and I'm complaining at a really high level here. I'm convinced that people who mainly use the main camera anyway, don't play the most technically demanding games and don't have a curved display phobia will be absolutely happy with this smartphone.

So, looking at the competition, you get flagship-esque features like an IP68 rating and Gorilla Glass Victus protection, a good AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. You also get fast performance, and decent cameras — all around NPR 50,000! The red flag on this phone would be its software itself! The MIUI experience isn’t very good as opposed to something like OnePlus or Samsung. Even after the HyperOS update, the situation won’t change all that much. The videos on this phone also could have been better. But, the software is the only thing holding this phone down. So, that’s one thing you need to really consider when buying this Xiaomi offering. All in all, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is a well-balanced midrange phone for the price tag of NPR 50,000! It’s almost a no-brainer choice!

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is one of the best phones that most people shouldn’t buy. It has some of the best hardware we’ve ever seen on a mid-range phone, from superb performance and a gorgeous display to great battery life and ultra-fast charging. Even the premium design and audio are impressive. However, there are two big things that count against it. The first are the cameras, which are capable of great shots but frustratingly unreliable and not the most versatile. The second is the software, which is often unintuitive and a clear step down in terms of updates vs many rivals. Unfortunately, these two aspects are crucial to the way most people use their phone. Considering the strength of the competition, the Note 13 Pro+ is only worth buying if you prioritise landscape photography and like Xiaomi’s MIUI skin.

Comparing Xiaomi's Redmi Note 13 5G vs the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and that most premium Pro Plus global smartphone, to see how the camera, battery life etc stacks up. I've already reviewed the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G, and the regular Pro - check back soon for my coverage of the most budget mobile! Now, in some ways these phones are all massively different, starting with the cameras. In our side-by-side test the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G served up the most natural colours. Both Pros are also a step up for low light and HDR shots. However, any kind of motion means blurry photos! Performance also improves as you upgrade from the Redmi Note 13 5G up to the Pro and Pro Plus models. The regular can cope with PubG etc but you'll need a Xiaomi Pro to play Genshin Impact. Battery life is excellent on all three Xiaomi smartphones, but the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and that Plus model boost the charging speeds. And you've also got some bonuses like full water resistance on the Note 13 Pro Plus 5G, great news at this budget phone price.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G made some improvements over its predecessor, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, with the device delivering images that were correct from the standpoint of quality. Casual photographers will appreciate the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G‘s capabilities in capturing nice stills in most light conditions. In low-light scenes, image noise was sometimes quite high. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G showed a notable score improvement over its predecessor in zoom, but the lack of a dedicated tele module meant that image quality was still limited in the medium and long range. In video, performance was mixed amid some exposure and autofocus instabilities, which could affect the overall user experience. When compared with other High-end devices ($400-$600), the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G camera ranked near the top end of the segment.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ clearly deserves the best Redmi Note ever crown, period. However, it no longer enjoys the monopoly like its predecessors. Phones like the Realme 11 Pro+, Poco X6 Pro, iQOO Neo 7 Pro, and even the Motorola Edge 40 are as impressive as the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, and some of these devices are much cheaper than Redmi Note’s latest flagship. The set of features it offers makes the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ one of the most mature mid-range smartphones, and it is for those who want the best Redmi Note with top-tier features like an IP rating and fast charging. For those who want a phone with a great camera or performance, it is best to look elsewhere.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a lot going for it. Its design, display, and battery life are its most notable features. The primary camera is impressive for its price range, and the addition of 120W fast charging and IP68 rating make it stand out from the competition. Adding IP68 should revolutionise this price category for the highest water and dust rating, usually limited to premium smartphones. However, the software situation could be better, as the phone comes with preloaded bloatware. The camera performs poorly in low light conditions, and additional sensors are not useful. The Redmi Note has traditionally been a great value proposition, but this year, this is only true for some models. Thanks to multiple SKUs, Xiaomi offers Redmi Note 13 to everyone from sub-Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 35,000. However, now that it has entered the Rs. 30,000 price bracket, it faces stiff competition from devices like the Pixel 7a (Review).

I had an unshakeable sense of deja vu while writing this review. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ does bring a few upgrades over last year’s model, most notably the much brighter OLED screen. Curved-edge glass and an in-display fingerprint sensor help it feel like a higher-end handset, and the processor upgrade guarantees smooth running. But the overall experience is largely unchanged. A large battery, fast charging speeds and a capable main camera remain the biggest draws. A new (but not newest) version of Android and two weak secondary snappers remain the biggest drawbacks. In a world where a Google Pixel 7a does such a great job with algorithm-assisted zoom snaps, a OnePlus Nord 3 has a more powerful processor, and Nothing Phone 2 prices continue to tumble, you’ve got to really want all the detail a 200MP camera sensor can provide.

While the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus lacks a distinctive novelty factor, given that many headline features are already offered by competitors in the same segment, it still emerges as a commendable smartphone. Xiaomi leverages a contemporary processor, a fresh design, and leading ingress protection, capitalising on its late market entry. Consequently, while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus may not establish new benchmarks, it effectively challenges those claiming to have done so.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is a massive upgrade over its predecessor in most areas – it gets a new premium design, an IP68 rating, almost double the screen brightness, a faster processor, an improved camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and more. These upgrades also make it stand tall amidst competition but there’s one area where it falls behind – performance. The likes of the iQOO Neo 7 Pro and OnePlus Nord 3 blow past the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ in synthetic benchmarks and real-world gaming. The renowned Redmi Note series from Xiaomi has consistently brought premium features to the masses in India at an affordable price. And this year is no exception. The Redmi Note 13 series ushered in the New Year’s with a couple of class-leading features, a brand-new design language, and impressive specifications.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G pricing starts at INR 31,999 in India, which is the highest yet for a Redmi series device. For that money, you get impressive design and build quality, the best yet on a Redmi phone. The display quality is also excellent and we were extremely pleased with the performance of the device in everyday tasks. The lightning-quick 120W charging is also a phenomenal feature and we do appreciate the inclusion of a 120W charger in a world where they are fast disappearing from packages. However, we weren't quite as pleased with the camera. The lossless zoom feature from the massive 200MP resolution is truly neat but there were notable color issues plaguing all the cameras on the device. The good news is that it's fixable and we hope the company adjusts things based on the feedback provided here as the camera hardware is otherwise quite capable.

With the new Redmi Note 13 Pro+ smartphone, the company has increased the price by Rs 2,000 compared to last year's model. But, for this, it is also offering a lot of upgrades. If we don't look at the Redmi Note name and just look at the performance, people are getting a good deal here. The device has a solid display and battery in its price range. The general performance is also on par with the competition. There is also IP68 water-resistant support that you don't usually get to see in the lower price range. The camera performance is decent and not the best in its segment, for which people can look for other options. But the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is overall a good 5G mid-range phone that people can buy.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is one of the most capable smartphones in the segment and there’s no doubt about it. It delivers what it promises – be it a great display experience, fast charging, or reliable camera performance (mostly). It may not be the most powerful phone in the segment, and for that, you have the OnePlus Nord 3 and iQOO Neo 7 Pro. But some premium features like 120W fast charging, IP68 rating, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and NFC make it a value-for-money mid-premium offering and worth considering. However, Xiaomi needs to work on the software experience, aiming to make MIUI (or HyperOS in the future) less cluttered and perhaps free of some pre-installed apps. While I am happy with the camera performance, the software aspect requires tweaking for more consistent results. The big question remains – will loyal Xiaomi users be willing to invest over Rs 30K in a Redmi Note phone? Only time will tell.

Xiaomi lavished a lot of attention on the design of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, and the result is one of the best-looking phones in the mid-range category. The phone now has a curved AMOLED panel that gives it a much more upmarket look, and the design at the back has also been updated. There's much better hardware in the form of the Dimensity 7200 Ultra, the battery lasts all day and charges at 120W, and the phone now comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and IP68 water resistance. However, you don't get Android 14 out of the box, and it still runs MIUI. You miss out on basic video recording features, the auxiliary cameras are not worth your time, and the device isn't anywhere as good a value as its predecessors.

Unboxing Xiaomi's Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, a mid-range smartphone launching globally soon, boasting a 200MP camera, fantastic gaming performance and crazy specs. The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is a true flagship killer, so here's hoping it hits the UK soon - stay tuned for a full review! The camera tech certainly sounds familiar and that primary sensor is handy for snapping a high-res photo and cropping in. This Xiaomi blower is pretty good for everyday snaps but any motion often results in blur. And the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus also struggles with portrait shots. Gamers will enjoy a smooth experience on Genshin Impact and other Android titles. Xiaomi's MiUI includes a Game Turbo mode which helps to keep that frame rate high, as well as giving you a...Lolita makeover.
