At the end of the day, it all boils down to the user’s preference. Xiaomi isn’t targeting users with mid-range or flagship phones but rather, Poco C3 is targeted towards those with a tight budget or to someone who is either new to smartphones or upgrading from a feature phone. Paying Rs 7,999/- for a phone which shares most of its specifications with Redmi 9A isn’t fair since the latter is available for almost Rs 1,000/- less. However, if you still want to try it without getting annoyed by ads, Poco C3 is the right choice. It is competing against the likes of Redmi 9, Realme Narzo 20A, and Realme C12 to name a few options.

If you are looking for a base Android phone to get you through the day and are not planning on doing too much heavy duty gaming, then you can think of getting the Poco C3. However, if you plan on doing something more than that, then getting a different smartphone like the Redmi 9 Prime feels like a much better option.

The base variant of the Poco C3 is a decent pick at Rs. 7,499 if all you want is a basic Android smartphone with strong battery life. The display is a bit dull, performance isn't great, and the cameras are just about serviceable. The 4GB version doesn't offer very good value, since at Rs. 8,999, you can get better phones such as the Realme Narzo 20A and Moto E7 Plus.

Poco C3 is a simple phone with no major highlight. It is a pocket-friendly phone priced at Rs 7,499 onwards. Having said that, the phone could be a good option for those looking for a budget phone with a decent battery and camera features. The fact that the display has a Blue light filter and is TUV Rheinland certified for eye protection, it can be a good choice for the students taking online classes.
