The big display size, huge battery support, huge RAM, and 5G support can be some good attractions for this smartphone. The Vivo Y55s smartphone launched in mainland China at the price point of $271 (Rs 20,499 in India), apart from this, there’s no news that this phone will release outside China for now. As for the design aspect, the makers bring an aesthetic yet straightforward layout. Besides this, you will attain a large panel 6.58-inches IPS LCD panel that provides decent pixel density. As far as the software skin is concerned, you will obtain an Android 11 based Origin OS that renders several customization options. The hardware section is not behind as you receive the MediaTek MT6833 Dimensity 700 5G chipset, though the phone didn’t support the NFC features. The camera board includes a 50MP primary sensor with a 2MP macro lens. This dual-camera setup will capture apt photos and gyro-EIS stable videos. As for the selfie camera, you are getting an 8MP lens at the helm. All of them, powered by a 6000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Altogether, you can choose the Black, Blue, and Pink colors variant. The phone is configured with 8GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage.

Vivo promises a speedy smartphone when they introduced the Y55s in the country, and the company did not disappoint. At Php8,490, it’s one of the most affordable devices packed with 3GB RAM and a quad-core Snapdragon chip, and it does a good job balancing all elements into one smartphone into a device that[‘s good for overall multitasking, casual mobile photography, and good connectivity.

Vivo Y55s is satisfactory handset with memory of 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM. It has brilliant touch support. Camera lens is satisfactory though colors are dull but the overall result is fine as compared to other android handsets. Moreover it provides us good battery life. It is 3G and 4G enabled device with 3GB RAM, which makes vivo y55s quite satisfactory.

The Vivo Y55s makes for a decent entry-level smartphone but simply isn’t strong enough to hold its own against its current competition. The Redmi Note 4, Moto G4 Plus and Honor 6X are much better options that will serve you a lot better. The Y55s has some good qualities like a comfortable form factor, good battery life, dedicated microSD card slot and 4G with VoLTE support, but it needs a more powerful SoC, a higher resolution display, a fingerprint sensor and better cameras.

To sum it up, the Vivo Y55s does gives a good battery backup and doesn’t disappoint on multi-tasking or performing regular tasks. But still, it lacks two features, which have become a standard in this price segment: Full HD display and fingerprint sensor. In our opinion, there are many other devices like Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Honor 6X, Coolpad Note 5, and more, which gives a far better performance and specifications as compared to this one. To conclude, the Force is not that Strong with this one.

The Vivo Y55s is a depandable smartphone, and it'll reach more people, being sold offline. It's good to know that offline buyers have a dependable phone to buy, but in the market at large, the Y55s is simply not up to its competition. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 costs about the same and is faster, with better battery life and faster performance. On the other hand, the Moto G5 Plus costs much more, but has a vastly better camera, faster performance and better battery life too. The Vivo Y55s is appreciable, but not what we would recommend.

The Vivo Y55s is a decent phone that scores when it comes to camera as the images turn out to be crisp, clear and bring out good color. It has a good build and is lightweight. However, at a price point of Rs. 12,490 the phone does not come with a fingerprint sensor which is a letdown. It supports dual SIM cards and has a dedicated micro SD card slot which is great. To sum it up, here are the pros and cons.
