Das Vivo X50 Pro ist ein neues Gerät, das großartiges Design mit einem hochwertigen Kamera-System vereint. Die Verarbeitungsqualität übertrifft den Preis definitiv: Die luxuriöse Oberfläche der Rückseite und der gesamte Eindruck des Smartphones strotzen vor Stil und sind schlicht erstklassig. Das Sandwich-Design aus Glas ist zwar die gängige Wahl bei Smartphones, doch deshalb sehen noch lange nicht alle gleich aus. Vivo entschied sich für eine Oberfläche, die weich wie Satin ist, während die Rückseite aus Glas zugleich bekannt und erfrischend wirkt. Es erinnert an die Perlmuttlackierung des OnePlus 6. Zudem sammeln sich auf der weichen Oberfläche keine Fingerabdrücke oder Kratzer an, was ein zusätzlicher Vorteil dieses Smartphones ist.
Der Rahmen des Gerätes besteht aus Aluminium, die Power-Taste und der Lautstärke-Regler befinden sich auf der rechten Seite. Die Verarbeitung ist auch hier erstklassig, die Tasten haben genau das richtige Maß an Widerstand. An der Unterseite wurde ein USB-Typ-C-Anschluss platziert, gleich neben dem Lautsprecher. Eine Audiobuchse hat das Vivo X50 Pro leider nicht. Das 6,56-Zoll-OLED-Display mit Full-HD+-Auflösung hat eine sehr schmale Einfassung. Für die Vorderkamera gibt es eine Aussparung. Das 90-Hz-Panel sorgt für geschmeidige UI-Navigation, was zu einem ausgezeichneten Benutzererlebnis beiträgt. Außen sorgt Hartglas von Schott für Schutz vor Kratzern und Dellen.
Im Inneren des Vivo X50 Pro steckt ein Snapdragon 765G Chipsatz, der ausgezeichnete Leistung liefert. Der Akku des Smartphones hat eine Kapazität von 4.315 mAh; mit dem 33-W-Ladegerät kann er in 15 Minuten bis zu 30 Prozent geladen werden. Kabelloses Laden ist allerdings nicht vorhanden. Das vierfache Kamera-Setup des Vivo X50 Pro besteht aus einer 48-MP-Hauptkamera, einer 8-MP-Ultra-Weitwinkelkamera mit 120 Grad, einer 13-MP-Kamera für Porträts und einem 8-MP-Teleobjektiv. Diese gesamte Aufstellung ist fünf mal so groß wie ein gewöhnliches OIS-Modul und bietet somit ein Stabilisierungsniveau, das man schwer bei konkurrierenden Geräten findet.
Das Interessante an dieser Kamera-Aufstellung ist die einzigartige kardanische Aufhängung der Hauptkamera, welche die Linse entlang zweier Axen mittels elektromagnetischer Induktion bewegt. Allgemein nimmt das 48-MP Sony IMX598 im Freien gute Bilder auf, es gibt viele Details, und der Rauschpegel ist noch unter Kontrolle. Die Farben sind manchmal etwas zu gesättigt, doch der Dynamikbereich ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Die Vorderkamera des Vivo X50 Pro nimmt Selfies mit einer Auflösung von 32 MP auf. Alles in allem hat dieses Smartphone Plus- und Minus-Punkte, die man je nach persönlichen Vorlieben und Bedürfnissen abwiegen sollte.
