The Vivo V5S is priced Rs 18990 and how good is the device for the price? Vivo V5S is definitely a good attempt by the company for selfie enthusiast and the upgraded variant comes with 64GB storage and improved design, but it misses out on many aspects. The 20MP front shooter is definitely good and provides a good experience for selfie lover, but with an HD display and rather weak Mediatek chipset, Vivo is asking a premium pricing for the V5S.

Vivo V5s is a perfect and easy to handle LTE enabled device with 64GB ROM and 4GB RAM. Camera has shown us brilliant results while we were expecting much better battery power than this 3000 mAh. The device has very light weight but the price is also economical so it can take market plus the device has so much resemblance with Oppo Devices.

With the design being inspired by the iPhone, does this camera really stand out like that of an iPhone itself? Or does the 20 MP moon light camera prove nothing in front of an iPhone’s FaceTime HD camera? You can watch the video review to know more.

Vivo V5s is a sleek looking device that looks and feels premium, although it’d have been great to see a genuine push from the OEM to come with the design that’s different from the iPhone. Its performance is similar to that of budget phones, but the display is on par with those costing far less. And yes, it has a complicated user interface.

When all is said and done, the V5s, as pretty as it is, is just an incremental upgrade to the company’s V5. It sports a better-looking aluminum body, double the storage and lasts a bit more, but that’s about it. The V5s is essentially the V5 in a better body with more storage.

The Vivo V5S comes with a price tag of RM1299 in Malaysia offering an improvement over the Vivo V5. The phone still performs well in terms of general usage, battery life, and camera quality. Taking great selfie can be easily done with the V5S but it definitely won't be as impressive as the more expensive Vivo V5 Plus. However, the rear camera isn't nearly as good as the front camera compared the Vivo V5 Plus. So if you just want an affordable smartphone to take great selfies with ease, this one would be perfect for you.

Vivo has just officially launched its latest offering and just as the trend goes in the smartphone scene, the newest handset caters to the selfie-centric crowd and it comes with an ‘s’ in its name. Is the Vivo V5s worth going for with its Php2K increase in price compared to the V5? We find out.

In the end, it all boils down to considering the Php14,990 price point of the V5s. With that, you get double the storage space of the V5, an updated Funtouch OS, and a new unibody design. Everything else is pretty much the same.

If you are looking for a smartphone which offers you great selfie experience then you can opt for Vivo V5s but if you need a device which offers better performance then you do have better options available in the market.

Vivo’s gone with a nicer metal body in the V5s. The phone looks like it was built off of a single block of aluminum, which not only looks good from an aesthetic perspective, it also gives the phone a sturdier chassis. Despite that unibody design though, the V5s feels light to the touch.

Vivo smartphones are no doubt pricey but they sell well in offline markets. The V5s is a better option than the Vivo V5, same performance, battery life, camera quality but with new look (back) and with 64GB storage, more space (better performing ROM).

The Vivo V5s can be seen as an improvement over the Vivo V5. The phone impressed us with its general performance, battery life, and camera quality. The HD display and the fact that it still runs the now-dated Android Marshmallow are our two main complaints. The excessive bloatware was also disappointing. Compared to the Oppo F3 and Gionee A1 (Review) - two of this phone's closest competitors - the Vivo V5s offers better selfies and is also more affordable at its price of Rs. 18,990. If you're not that obsessed with selfies, there are better all-rounders at this price or less.

Vivo has done a great job this time; the V5s is not only a smartphone for selfie lovers, but a regular user will like the device equally. The Moonlight selfie camera on the Vivo V5s is great and the performance is also very swift. Battery life is decent and lasts a day without troubling at all. And at Rs.18,990, we think Vivo V5s is good choice worth considering.

Vivo V5s may not be a good upgrade, in my opinion, it is just 4 months Vivo V5 has launched and if you have bought it, keeping it is advisable. On the flipside, this could be one of the best selfie phones under ₹20,000 price.
