EN→DE Archive.org versionThe Sony Vaio F is a solid mid-tier Sony notebook that is well built with good material at a reasonable price. The high-end Intel Core i7 processor and dedicated graphics make this notebook a good candidate for audio and video users and developers. The built-in Blu-ray player is a nice bonus for a laptop that starts at $1,000. The 16.4" is more portable than the larger 17"-18.4" beasts like the Qosmio and the Sony is certainly a lot thinner than many larger notebooks. The screen isn’t very color saturated and you need to pay extra for the 1080p native display. Color flashing in Battlefield Bad Company 2 isn’t a good sign, and we can’t say it won’t happen in other games since we can’t try them all. If you are a serious gamer, you should consider the GeForce GT 330M option.

NVIDIA GeForce 310M: Die GeForce 310M ist die Nachfolgerkarte der G 210M und technisch nur durch 30MHz mehr Shadertakt verschieden. Es gibt jedoch auch Versionen mit einem geringeren Kerntakt von 606 MHz.
Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen. Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.

720QM: Der Core i7-720QM war zur Zeit der Einführung der langsamste Core i7-9xx Quad Core Prozessor. Er taktet dank Turbo Modus automatisch zwischen 1.6-2.8 GHz. Außerdem unterstützt er Hyperthreading zur gleichzeitigen Abarbeitung von 8 Threads.
