AMD Ryzen 7 7700 ► remove from comparison Der AMD Ryzen 7 7700 ist ein High-End- Desktop-Prozessor der Raphael Serie mit 8-Kernen und Hyperthreading (SMT), womit dieser in Summe bis zu 16 Threads gleichzeitig verarbeiten kann. Im Vergleich zu den schnelleren Ryzen 9 Modellen (wie den Ryzen 9 7900X oder 7950X ) bietet der Ryzen 7 weniger Kerne und auch geringere Taktraten (Boost).
Der interne Aufbau des Prozessors hat sich auf den ersten Blick nicht grundlegend verändert. Der AMD Ryzen 7 7700 basiert weiterhin auf dem Chiplet-Design, nutzt aber nur einen CCD der zwei mit 8-Kernen. Mit 5 nm wurde allerdings der Fertigungsprozess verkleinert, wodurch die höheren Taktraten zu gewährleisten sind. Weiterhin gibt es den IO-Die, der unter anderem den Speichercontroller sowie die iGPU beinhaltet. Dieser wird nunmehr in 6 nm Strukturbreite gefertigt.
Durch die leicht gesenkten Taktraten, reiht sich der Ryzen 7 7700 knapp hinter dem 7700X ein.
Der Prozessor integriert neben den CPU-Kernen auch einen DDR5 Dual-Channel Speicherkontroller (max. DDR5-5200 und 128GB) und eine schwache AMD Radeon Graphics Grafikkarte mit 2 CUs. Die CPU nutzt den Socket AM5 und wird von den Chipsätzen X670(E) und B650(E) unterstützt.
Intel Core i9-14900HX ► remove from comparison Der Intel Core i9-14900HX ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der Raptor-Lake-Architektur für große und schwere Notebooks. Die CPU wurde Anfang 2024 vorgestellt und ist eine leicht höhergetaktete Variante des älteren Core i9-13980HX .
Die insgesamt 32 Threads unterteilen sich in P-Cores und E-Cores, die wir bereits von Alder-Lake her kennen. Dabei kommen 8 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores) mit Hyperthreading zum Einsatz und 16 Effizienzkerne, sodass in Summe 32 Threads gleichzeitig verarbeitet werden können. Die P-Kerne takten von 2,2 GHz (Basistakt) bis 5,8 GHz (Einzelkern-Turbo) und die E-Kerne von 1,6 GHz bis 4,1 GHz.
Performance
Durch die leicht höheren Maximaltaktraten steigt vor allem die Einzelkernleistung des 14900HX im Vergleich zum 13980HX etwas an. Im Vergleich zum Topmodell von AMD, dem Ryzen 9 7945HX bzw 7945HX3D reicht sich der 14900HX knapp dahinter ein (im Schnitt unserer Benchmarks). Die Leistung ist aber abhängig vom Benchmark und der Kühlung und meist sehr vergleichbar.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Intel Core i9-12900HX bietet der Intel Core i9-14900HX eine integrierte Grafikeinheit. Als Basis dient weiterhin die Intel Iris XE-Architektur. Rein leistungstechnisch hat sich bei der neuen Intel UHD Graphics 770 aber nicht viel verändert.
Der 14900HX wird im weiter verbesserten 10nm FinFET Verfahren bei Intel gefertigt (Intel 7 Prozess) und ist spezifiziert mit 55 Watt Base Power und 157 Watt Turbo Power.
