AMD Ryzen 5 4600HS vs Intel Core i9-9880H vs Intel Core i7-9750H
AMD Ryzen 5 4600HS
► remove from comparisonDer AMD Ryzen 5 4600HS ist ein Mobilprozessor für große Notebooks (z.B. Gaming-Laptops) basierend auf die Renoir Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet sechs Zen 2 Kerne (Hexa-Core CPU) welche mit bis zu 4 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (12 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll laut AMD eine 2x verbesserte Performance pro Watt bieten als die Ryzen 3000 APUs (z.B. den Ryzen 5 3550H Vorgänger).
Durch die zwei deaktivierten Kerne und dem geringeren Turbo-Takt, sollte der Ryzen 5 4600HS deutlich hinter dem Ryzen 7 4800HS zurückbleiben. Das alte Spitzenmodell Ryzen 7 3750H sollte aber deutlich abgehängt werden. Verglichen mit Intel Prozessoren, gehen wir mit einer ähnlichen Performance wie der Core i7-8850H (6-Kerne, 2,6 - 4,3 GHz) aus. Laut Asus soll die Performance des HS-Modells sehr ähnlich zu dem Ryzen 5 4600H mit 10 Watt höherem TDP ausfallen.
Der SoC integriert neben den acht Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 6 Grafikkarte mit 6 CUs und bis zu 1500 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4-3200 / LPDDR4-4266 Speicherkontroller und 8 MB Level 3 Cache. Im Vergleich zum Ryzen 5 4600H, bietet der 4600HS einen um 10 Watt geringeren TDP (35 versus 45 W) bei sonst gleichen Spezifikationen. Daher ist der Chip für große und schwere Notebooks vorgesehen und benötigt, trotz des effizienten 7nm Herstellungsprozesses, eine gute Kühlung um die Leistung auch dauerhaft zu erbringen.
Intel Core i9-9880H
► remove from comparisonDer Intel Core i9-9880H ist ein Achtkern-SoC für Notebooks, der auf der auf der Coffee-Lake-Architektur basiert (Refresh 2019, CFL-HR). Er taktet die acht Prozessorkerne mit 2,3 - 4,8 GHz (Ein- und Zweikern Turbo) bzw. maximal 4,1 GHz? wenn alle Kerne ausgelastet sind. Die 4,8 GHz können nur per "Thermal Velocity Boost" kurzzeitig erreicht werden (CPU Temperatur unter 50°C). Unter den 50°C kann ein Kern um 200 MHz geboostet werden, mehrere um 100 MHz (so war dies beim i9-8950HK). Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger, dem Core i9-8950HK bietet der i9-9880H nun 8 statt 6 Prozessorkerne und damit eine potentiell höhere Multi-Thread-Performance (bei ausreichend Kühlung).
Die integrierte Grafikkarte hört auf den Namen UHD Graphics 630 und entspricht der alten HD Graphics 630. Die Leistungsaufnahme ist mit 45 Watt TDP spezifiziert. Dank freiem Multiplikator ist ein Übertakten der CPU möglich. Der Core i9 ist das Topmodell der Coffee Lake-H Notebook-Modelle und damit schnellste Notebook-CPU in 2018.
Die einzelnen Kerne haben sich bei Coffee Lake im Vergleich zu Kaby Lake nicht verändert. Die Leistung pro Takt bleibt also gleich und Coffee Lake kann nur durch die leicht verbesserte Fertigung (14nm++) und die zusätzlichen Kerne punkten. Auch die Grafikkarte wurde nicht verbessert, sondern lediglich teilweise höher getaktet.
Mit einem spezifizierten TDP von 45 Watt eignet sich der i9-8950HK am besten für große und schwere Notebooks.
Intel Core i7-9750H
► remove from comparisonDer Intel Core i7-9750H ist ein Sechskern-SoC für Notebooks, der auf der auf der Coffee-Lake-Architektur basiert (Refresh in 2019 CFL-HR). Er taktet die sechs Prozessorkerne mit 2,6 - 4,5 GHz (Ein- und Zweikern Turbo) bzw. maximal 4 GHz wenn alle Kerne ausgelastet sind. Die integrierte Grafikkarte hört auf den Namen UHD Graphics 630 und entspricht der alten HD Graphics 630. Die Leistungsaufnahme ist mit 45 Watt TDP spezifiziert und kann vom Notebookhersteller auf 35 Watt heruntergesetzt werden (configurable TDP = cTDP Down). Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger dem Core i7-8750H wurden nur die Taktfrequenzen und der L3 Cache erhöht, sonst gibt es keine Unterschiede.
