All of this adds up to a pretty tempting package. The MediaTek chipset delivers impressive performance, battery life is excellent and the camera is respectable as well. And for £299, the Nord 2 CE looks pretty swish, despite its largely plastic build. Add in a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD storage expansion support and dual-SIM capability and you have one of the most well-rounded handsets for the money. If you don't have piles of cash to spend, you can't wrong with the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G; it's a fabulously affordable smartphone.

The Oneplus Nord CE 2 smartphone design, the smooth 90Hz AMOLED display, and its fast processor are some of the main attractions of the phone and if you are someone who wants these features on your new phone, then the OnePlus Nord CE 2 phone is for you. But if you want a waterproof design and a better camera, then this is not the phone for you. In that case, you should look for an alternative option. Apart from that, I don’t have any reason not to buy this smartphone considering the price is totally justified. If you do need an alternative at this price range, the OnePlus Nord N20 is a good alternative. It has an AMOLED display, decent chipset, fast charging, and 5G support. But if do decide to buy the Oneplus Nord CE 2 smartphone, we assure you that you won’t be disappointed especially with its smooth OxygenOS user interface.

With OnePlus now more under Oppo’s watchful eye than ever, there was a danger the Nord CE 2 would lose some of its identity. You could make that argument as it’s more of an Oppo/Realme phone than ever (yes, these are all the same company). Like the original CE, it doesn’t have the alert slider on the side of the phone to switch between silent, vibrate and ringer modes – and that was once a OnePlus hallmark. The ever-increasing problem at this price point is that the market is now very crowded and it’s hard to stand out – and it could be argued that only the OnePlus name truly sets this phone apart from rivals.

So, after using OnePlus Nord CE 2 for almost a month now, I have kind of mixed feelings about the phone. It’s not something I would recommend then and there, but it’s not a particularly bad phone either. The Nord CE 2 is a capable performer that offers a no-nonsense bloatware-free experience, while it’s also got a fairly reliable set of cameras. Having said that, OnePlus hasn’t been able to catch up with the competition in the mid-range segment just yet. If not a big upgrade, the company should’ve at least offered some quality-of-life improvements here such as a glass back, a higher refresh rate, stereo speakers, and maybe longer software updates as well. So, unless you want the “OnePlus” experience, the Realme 9 Pro+ feels like your safest bet right now—whereas the Xiaomi 11i with its 120Hz display, Dimensity 920, and 108MP cameras is also a viable option in this price bracket.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G has been improved in terms of design, performance, and fast charging. You get a wonderful 65W SuperVOOC fast charging that takes approximately 30 minutes to fully charge the battery, a 90 Hz Fluid AMOLED display, and cameras that you can rely on. For the price of ₹23,999, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is a reasonable choice among the contenders.

OnePlus has worked hard to make the Nord CE 2 5G a good all-rounder. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G offers good performance, beautiful daylight photos, and reasonable battery life, all in a well-built and attractive package. When you combine the clean interface with a number of customizability options, you have a phone that deserves consideration. The Nord CE 2 also appears to be well prepared for the future, with connectivity for eight 5G bands built-in, as well as an audio jack and memory expansion. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is definitely not perfect, and there are a few things that other smartphones in this category have that the OnePlus Nord CE 2 does not. These aren’t deal-breakers, but they would have been helpful. If you’re not a fan of OnePlus and want to explore around, there are some other options, like the Realme 9 Pro Plus.

If you need a new smartphone under €350, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is still an excellent choice. 65 watts of fast charging, 5G and Wi-Fi 6 are good things for the price, and on most other points the phone lives up to what you can expect. The screen is good without being fancy, the design is generic and bland, but the phone is sturdy yet slim and light. If you use the camera like most people, you’ll probably be happy and satisfied, too, and the phone runs fast enough for most people without getting hot or stalling and crashing in the middle of everything. Not much storage comes with the purchase (128 gigabytes), but for a rare occasion you can expand the space by up to 1 terabyte with an external memory card. If you have a few extra quids to spend on a mobile and you like OnePlus, you should buy the OnePlus Nord 2 instead. In fact, it’s the best mid-range OnePlus phone we’ve tested to date.

The Nord CE 2's excellent battery life, 90Hz AMOLED screen, uncluttered software setup and distinctive backplate design may appeal to many smartphone buyers on a restricted budget. However, the poor speaker and average cameras are significant drawbacks. Although the Nord CE 2 is a competent mid-range smartphone, there's plenty of competition in this price bracket. OnePlus fans might also want to consider the Nord 2, which, discounted at the time of writing, offers a higher specification for only a little more outlay.

The budget smartphone segment is getting crowded these days. There are plenty of options around the $400 mark and the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is definitely a contender. It all boils down to personal preference in the end - if you’re a OnePlus fan, and you’re looking for a budget phone with great display and 5G then the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is your best bet. Even by OnePlus's usual standards, the Nord CE 2 has very little going for it. The hardware is nearly unchanged from its predecessor, which immediately puts the phone at a disadvantage — particularly when there are so many great devices in this category. Combine that with the inexcusable software decisions, and I don't see any reason to buy the Nord CE 2. If you're interested in a phone for under ₹25,000 ($330), you're better off with the Realme 9 Pro+ instead. Realme is making all the right moves on the software front, and that has allowed the brand to stand out from its BBK siblings in 2022.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is an impressive affordable mid-ranger, with only a few flaws. In fact, perhaps its biggest challenge is simply that spending only a little more would net you the even better Nord 2. Performance, battery, and charging all impress for the price, and the design is slick enough to outgrow its humble plasticky origins. The camera has its flaws, but is typical for the price, with a main camera that’s good during the day, and other lenses that are at least serviceable. The biggest downside is really OnePlus’s lacklustre commitment to software updates, which will likely see the phone out of updates by the end of next year.

Priced Rs 23,999 for the base model, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is a balanced smartphone. It is a no-frill smartphone with no fancy bells and whistles to compete against feature-rich peers. Yet, it makes a solid proposition in the midrange segment simply because it is easy to use and ticks all the right boxes. Though focused on core competency, there is more to the OnePlus Nord CE 2 than meets the eye.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is a good smartphone that you can consider buying if your budget is around Rs 24,000. It offers an attractive design, a powerful enough chipset, a big battery with support for faster (65W) charging speed. It can also take appealing photos in daylight. Though, the ultra-wide camera is not that good. Alternatively, there is the Realme 9 Pro+, which offers a slightly better camera experience with OIS support and even stereo speakers. But, you don’t get the clean, bloatware-free software experience that you get with OnePlus phones. You can instead buy the OnePlus Nord 2 if you want stereo speakers, and OIS support for better stable videos. Though, you will have to spend Rs 4,000 more.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2, in many ways, reminds us of a classic Nokia phone in the pre-2010 era – a solid and smart performer. However, it is not a record-breaking device but is looking to score on good old basics. Just how many people value that in a segment that is increasingly spec-obsessed could determine how well it does in the market. There will always be room for a phone which does the basics well. But how big that room is, is anyone’s guess. With the OnePlus Nord CE 2, OnePlus has bravely gambled on the user experience rather than a device spec sheet. The coming days will tell us if the move pays off.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 doesn’t give you too many reasons to love it. Sure, the design is borrowed, but it’s an improvement over its predecessor. Likewise, the main camera is solid, it’s fast to charge, and the interface remains bloat-free. However, those aren’t big enough reasons to look past the glaring drabness of the Nord CE 2, and that’s before you factor in the outdated software, tinny mono speaker, and poor secondary cameras. As the Oppo-ification of OnePlus continues, derivative hardware is starting to become a theme. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 isn’t the worst phone you can buy for just shy of £300, but it does nothing to reverse the tide and is, unfortunately, yet another example of an uninspired budget smartphone from OnePlus amongst a sea of better alternatives. The Samsung A32 5G (£249) is still an easy recommendation that loses some processing power but melds quality cameras with a classy design and excellent software support. There’s also the Poco M4 Pro (£239) to consider with its IP53 rating, slick design, and superb battery life.

As I said in the beginning, the Nord CE 2 has more shades of Oppo than OnePlus. It is very much evident that the future lineup of OnePlus phones, especially on the budget and mid-end, will have similarities to that of Oppo phones. That, however, shouldn’t impact the quality consumers expect from a OnePlus phone. If you ask me who should buy a Nord CE 2, I would say anyone who wants to upgrade an old Samsung Galaxy phone or a Xiaomi Note phone. The Nord CE 2 might appeal to those Android phones who have never experienced OxygenOS due to OnePlus’s high price tag.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G offers good competence in all the key areas, and pulls away from the rest of the best cheap phones when it comes to fast-charging. If you’re looking for the best gaming performance you can get for your money, or even the best camera results, then you’d be best advised to keep looking; the iPhone SE 2 and the Poco F3 are good potential alternatives. For its price, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is a solid offering. It might not be the most exciting phone on the market, but it gets the job done without any serious compromises. The main issue is that we've seen a large number of competitors entering this mid-range market over the past couple of years. Therefore the second-gen Nord CE doesn't have any one standout feature to help set it apart from the rest. Overall the OnePlus Nord CE 2 delivers about as complete a package as you could expect on a budget. Still, with the older Nord 2 available with a bit of a discount, we'd recommend spending a bit extra and getting that more premium model.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 does not do anything outstanding. At this price point, there are other phones like the iQOO Z3 and the Realme 9 Pro+ that offer better value. Both these phones bring powerful hardware, and the Realme 9 Pro+ also brings slightly better cameras. But then again, both these phones also have their fail points. For example, the iQOO Z3 does not sport an AMOLED panel, while the Realme 9 Pro+ loses to the competition in the design department. In comparison, the Nord CE 2 successfully manages to avoid falling into this trap. OnePlus' new mid-range device does not offer segment-leading performance in any of the main departments. In fact, it remains strictly above-par overall. But what the Nord CE 2 does right is that it does not fail in any of these departments. Be it cameras, general performance, or even gaming, it offers above-par results everywhere, thereby establishing itself as a good contender for your money -- even if not an outright winner.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is a very reasonably priced smartphone that gives those looking for an affordable OnePlus camera phone a viable option. The cameras capture decent photos that are perfect for sharing online but dynamic range and sharpness could be better and those who regularly capture photos with smartphones will probably notice the drop in quality when compared with more expensive devices as well as camera phones at a similar price point. There are some clever tricks built-in, though, such as the way the AI introduces bokeh without clipping and the Night Mode is pretty good, too. As with all OnePlus smartphones, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 offers a user experience that can't be ignored and for that reason, combined with the excellent price, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 will be worth taking a look at even with the few compromises you have to make simply because it's a more affordable smartphone.

Global technology brand OnePlus officially launched the OnePlus Nord CE 2 – a new €349 device that features a 90 Hz AMOLED display, OxygenOS 11 and 5G support. The firm said that CE stands for Core Experience and is really pushing the superfast charging in its marketing drive. The launch comes just weeks after the company’s 2022 flagship device OnePlus 10 Pro went on sale in China. That phone has yet to be launched in Europe but indications are that it will be landing in March. OnePlus Nord CE 2 features a flagship-standard 65W Supervooc fast charger that is actually manufactured by sister company OPPO. The company said that it provides the phone’s 4,500 mAh dual-cell battery with up to a day’s power in just 15 minutes – twice as fast as the original OnePlus Nord CE.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is good update to the original and if you haven't already bought the previous model, I'd say the new one is worth buying. It's basically a lower-priced Oppo Reno 7 without the spammy apps, which is not a bad deal. The Nord CE 2 offers a premium design, good performance, solid battery life, very fast charging, and decent cameras for still photography. Video recording is not its strong suit, but other than that, it's hard to complain. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is by no means perfect and there are a couple of features that are missing, that other phones in this segment do offer. These aren't deal-breakers but would have been nice to have. For instance, if you're looking for an IP rating for dust and water resistance, the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion (Review) is a very good option. On the other hand, if you need good stereo speakers, it would be hard to beat the Realme 9 Pro+ which starts at around Rs. 25,000.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is a reasonably well-featured and well-performing phone for the price. It has an attractive design, good display, relatively clean and simple UI with good performance, good main camera quality, decent battery life with fast charging, and even includes a few bells and whistles that have become increasingly rare, such as a headphone jack and expandable storage. The phone is also basically just the Oppo Reno7 5G with different software. While that may have been a valid strategy in the past, with the software between the two companies merging even that one difference wouldn't really be relevant in the future. At which point, why even have the two phones in the same market anymore. Moreover, why should the customer pick one over the other?

At the starting price of Rs. 23,999, the phone actually finds itself surrounded by some stiff competition. Leading the challengers is Xiaomi’s recently launched Xiaomi 11i, which comes with a larger 5,000 mAh battery, a 108-megapixel camera and a Dimensity 920 processor. Those willing to spend slightly more will also be tempted by the likes of the Realme GT and the Poco F3 GT, both of which come with Dimensity 1200 chips, and very eye-catching designs. At the end of the day, a lot is going to depend on how well the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G actually performs. It has the looks, but with those specs, needs to deliver more than just a core experience to make it big in the category.

For anyone on a tight budget, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is an obvious choice because it performs well across the board. The screen is great for watching videos, the processor can cope with all sorts of tasks and it has a very long-lasting battery as well as fast charging. What more could you ask for? Granted, to keep the price this low OnePlus has made a few sacrifices like the fact that this phone isn’t completely waterproof, or that it’s made from plastic. It also doesn’t match up to more expensive devices when it comes to its camera, and the refresh rate is lower than elsewhere as well. But in saying that, you won’t ever find a phone this cheap that can do it all, and when you compare it to the competition, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is incredible value for money.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is the most Oppo-like OnePlus phone I’ve personally used. But at £300(€349), it’s hard to fault. It feels fast and responsive in everyday use, its screen is smooth and vibrant, its battery easily lasts over a day, and it charges ridiculously quickly when it runs dry. The big compromises here are the phone’s overall build quality, which verges on feeling a little cheap and plastic-y, and a set of cameras that struggle to take decent shots away from bright daylight. A lot has been written about how OnePlus has moved away from its roots in recent years and is no longer focused on offering flagship smartphones at a fraction of the price of its competitors. But with the Nord CE 2, it feels like it’s returned to this original promise. More than its recent flagships, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 feels like a true continuation of the OnePlus spirit of old. It’s just ironic that it’s done so in a device that feels like an Oppo phone.

If you don't mind the prospect of upgrading your phone in a couple of years, or getting stuck on an outdated Android version, then there's very little to put you off shortlisting the Nord. We love our premium flagship phones here at Tom’s Guide, including the OnePlus 10 Pro, which we can't wait to be made available in the U.S. and U.K. But it's good to ask why we're paying $1,000-and-up prices for flagship phones — devices like the Nord CE 2 help to put things in perspective. We need to spend more time with the OnePlus Nord CE 2, but early on, it feels like one of the best cheap phones I've personally tried. I don't know how long that will last, given that the Redmi Note 11 just launched, and the iPhone SE 3 is looming on the horizon, too. For now, though, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is hoping to make a name for itself, and it seems off to a good start.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is a lot of smartphone for £299. The chipset seems powerful, the camera sounds like it’ll be impressive, and the addition of faster charging and microSD support compared to its predecessor makes it far more attractive. We don’t yet know how the Nord CE 2 will work as our everyday phone, but so far it seems impressive, and it may be that this is one of the best phones from 2022 that you can buy for under £300.

Modell:
