Bei dem Nubia RedMagic 7 Pro handelt es sich weniger um ein dem RedMagic 7 überlegenes Modell und viel mehr um eine alternative Version.

Like its predecessors, the REDMAGIC 7 Pro is a solid-performing gaming device with flagship specs, a smooth display, decent battery life, and fast charging. The big update with the 7 Pro over the 7 is higher baseline RAM and storage configurations as well as a slightly larger battery and the UDC display. If you’re a mobile gamer, this device is an excellent choice.

With a front camera that is situated under the screen, the Nubia RedMagic 7 Pro allows users to enjoy content on a full notchless display area. The smartphone’s display performance really shines when playing video games because of its good management of aliasing management and touch smoothness. Gamers might get a few occasional ghost touches when playing in landscape mode, but it shouldn’t affect the gaming experience much. We observed that in some cases, video games had to be manually added to the game manager app in order to get the best performance. Outside of gaming, however, the RedMagic 7 Pro was not suited to use cases, such as night reading and watching HDR10 videos, when light conditions were low. The screen’s brightness is too low to make it comfortably readable, dark tones lack any details, and the display shows a strongly visible reddish-pink cast.

The Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro battery performance ranked in the top half of our database. When compared with all the devices in the database, the RedMagic 7 Pro’s autonomy score was slightly below average because of poor performance in high-demanding use cases such as gaming, calling, and GPS navigation. Autonomy in a moderate use was average, with decent performances when streaming videos and scrolling on social apps. The Nubia’s real power was in charging, where it showed an excellent performance with its 65W charger (global version). The charge efficiency, as well as the adapter efficiency, was outstanding, the best we’ve tested so far. The charger filled up the large 5000 mAh battery in only 28 minutes and 55 seconds, which is faster than what it takes other more powerful chargers to fill the same battery capacity. Thanks to this powerful charger, the average autonomy recovered after a 5-minute charge was among the best at 8 hours and 20 minutes. The downside to all this charging power, however, was that the residual consumption of the charger was very high, whether the smartphone was plugged in or not.

The Nubia RedMagic 7 Pro is, like its predecessors, built to appeal to gamers. It has the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 under the hood, a sophisticated cooling system, and shoulder triggers. This model also boasts of stereo speakers with DTS: X Ultra Surround Sound tuning. But like its predecessors, the 7 Pro falls a little short in our audio testing, with this latest device losing one point in its overall score to its predecessor, the RedMagic Pro 6, as well as losing a point on playback and five points in recording. On the plus side in playback, the 7 Pro is relatively artifact-free, reaching an excellent score in our database, and it also did quite well in our volume attribute. But the overall sound lacks both high- and low-end, and in other attributes, the device was average at best. As a recording device, the RedMagic 7 Pro is functional in terms of recording loudness and in managing Signal-to-Noise Ratio, but otherwise produced middling results.

Gaming on Android smartphones is a bit of a mixed bag these days. While your average midrange smartphone is more than capable of playing Candy Crush and can deliver a smooth experience when playing Call of Duty Mobile, it’s incredibly difficult to find a smartphone that can max out the settings on a game like Genshin Impact without taking a performance hit. Enter the Redmagic 7 Pro – an $800 gaming-centric smartphone that outperforms even the most expensive Android competitors.

The ZTE Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro smartphone will provide you with the best possible gaming specs in the world of Android as of yet. The phone offers RGB lights and looks very futuristic and miles ahead of any other competitors, especially in terms of battery and fast charging. Still, you will miss wireless charging and reverse charging support. The Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro smartphone easily holds the crown of one of the best Android phones for gamers and no other phone is coming close anytime soon. So, if you are a hardcore gamer, I don’t see any reason this phone can disappoint you unless you are looking at the next-gen version. If you are looking for an alternative option with the latest specs and decent camera support, then the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro is a good choice, but the final decision is up to you.

To compensate for a lacklustre camera experience, Red Magic offers several ‘Camera Family’ modes, including ‘Star Trail,’ ‘Starry Sky,’ ‘Multi Exposure,’ ‘Clone’ ‘3D’ ‘Zoom Blur,’ and many more. On the video side of things, the Red Magic 7 Pro can record in HDR, with up to Ultra HD 4K at 60FPS, along with built-in anti-shake stabilization software. With all that being said, the Red Magic 7 Pro feels like a super niche phone that won’t serve everyone well. While it’s undoubtedly one of the best gaming phones on the market with slight omissions from preceding models, the lacklustre software experience, combined with a lower refresh rate, and average quality cameras make it a no-go for the everyday user who also wants to game once in a while. However, if you’re looking to get into mobile eSports, stream games on Twitch or YouTube, or have extra cash lying around to purchase a dedicated phone just for gaming, it’s hard to beat the Red Magic 7 Pro.

The Red Magic 7 Pro is the most advanced gaming phone Nubia has ever made, but also the most divisive. It offers stunning performance, thanks to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, a separate dedicated gaming chip and generous helpings of RAM. The large, silky-smooth AMOLED display is a joy to behold, complete with class-leading 960Hz touch sampling rate. Elsewhere, a hefty 5000mAh cell delivers all-day battery life, while 65W fast charging means you’ve got a full charge back in less than 30 minutes. Even the rear cameras are impressive these days. But it's that front-facing camera that will divide opinion. Embedded under the display, its results are demonstrably worse than a traditional selfie lens. Nubia's choice to drop the screen refresh rate to 120Hz also hurts part of the Red Magic line's unique appeal. Combined with a price hike, only the most dedicated gamers should pay extra for the Red Magic 7 Pro. Most will be happier with the regular model, or one of the growing number of alternatives.

If you are new in the market for a gaming smartphone and have a tight budget, the RedMagic 7 Pro is a good choice. Alternatively, if you have a gaming phone from a couple of years ago and want to upgrade to something new, then the RedMagic 7 Pro is also a good choice. The RedMagic 7 Pro starts at $799 for the base version and then keeps going up from there. For around $800, you get the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, oodles of RAM, and a hefty 5,000mAh battery along with the 65W GaN fast-charging brick. Not to mention the seamless display, relatively compact size, extremely loud stereo speakers, and a headphone jack. So, what is this device lacking? For starters, there’s no IP protection thanks to all the vents for the active cooling system. Next are the cameras which are serviceable but not the best. Secondly, the software needs to get rid of non-English menu options and have better translations for settings. This specifically applies to the “Game Space” section because the primary reason for purchasing this phone is that it is a gaming powerhouse.

While getting the top version of a premium gaming phone sounds tempting for many, it isn't always the best decision. The RedMagic 7 Pro does deliver exclusive features, like an under-display camera, a smaller form factor despite a similar display size, and a bigger battery. However, this comes with a compromise. You get a slower screen that's a bit dimmer, the phone gets warmer much faster, and the thinner bezels mean the shoulder triggers can be a bit awkward to use. If you're looking for a gaming device that will let you game for as long as possible, the 5,000mAh battery on the RedMagic 7 Pro will probably give you 15 more minutes of playtime. But this slight advantage comes with a lot of tradeoffs. Given that it's a Pro version we expect this phone to be a bit more expensive than the standard models. But, even if you're paying more, you might end up with a little bit less. Unless the under-display camera or the extra fifteen minutes of play time is that important to you, I'd recommend you stick to the standard RedMagic 7 model. It'll definitely be more than enough for your gaming needs.

The Red Magic 7 Pro is definitely not for everyone. However, except for the excellent sustained performance, the handset fails to do what it's intended for - high refresh rate gaming. There are only a handful of games that can go beyond 60fps beating the purpose of having an HRR display. There's also the subpar camera performance, bad battery life, poorly translated software and dim screen that don't really make a case for an affordable, all-around flagship. The UD selfie camera novelty and the extra gaming features, which are pretty helpful and neat, to be honest, are just not enough to persuade us.

Gaming phones remain niche products. When most of the big name flagships also play games well, the average person has little reason to look to the likes of the RedMagic 7 Pro. That doesn’t make it a bad phone nor does it mean we should write off the product category altogether. If you want a gaming phone, then look no further than the RedMagic 7 Pro. It’s got all the power you could want, plus some great features. Even the under-display camera is a nice addition, since it frees up more screen space for maximum gaming. At $799, the RedMagic 7 Pro is one mean beast. But if you care about your phone also providing the best photography or software experience, then this isn’t the handset for you.

With all the hardware and software features on the Nubia RedMagic 7 Pro, it's hard to name a gaming phone that ticks more boxes. For all that you're getting, you'll have to pay a price: $799 for the 256GB model and $899 for 512GB. At those prices, the phone becomes a harder sell to mainstream consumers who are better off buying the base model of the iPhone 13 or Samsung Galaxy S22. But if you fall in the mobile gaming niche and want the best of the best, the 7 Pro has your name on it. The RedMagic 7 Pro goes on sale on April 27 in two configurations: Obsidian (16GB RAM/256GB) and Supernova (16GB RAM/512GB). Nubia says that early bird offers will be available starting April 22 but has yet to disclose any more information. We'll be updating this review when there is.

Redmagic 7 Pro review, the new revised Pro model now has a UDC camera, slim bezels, a larger 5000mah battery, improved cooling, Red Core 1 chip, and a new design. But is a really an upgrade and better? Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 with a tiny 20,000 rpm fan to cool it.

The Redmagic 7 Pro builds on what was already a powerful and capable gaming phone with better battery life, improved cooling and impeccable performance. Additions such as an under-display selfie camera help it stand out, but it remains a bulky handset that takes underwhelming pictures. Ultimately, it offers only limited appeal to those who don’t use their phone exclusively for games.

I feel like a broken record saying this: RedMagic phones are not for everyone and the RedMagic 7 Pro continues that trend. With dull cameras, no IP rating and a gargantuan form factor with a unique aesthetic, this one is for the players only. Gamers are getting a cracking device here with breakneck speeds, a gorgeous screen, powerful audio, responsive touch controls and a slick gamer-focussed UI. But not only that, this goes some way to fixing the problems of the RedMagic 7, thanks to a massive battery and improved thermal management. It’s not a good all-rounder, but if you only want to play mobile games at their absolute best, this is the one to get.
