The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion still holds up nicely at the end of 2023 and will satisfy most of your needs. It has a beautiful 144Hz curved display, which is excellent for watching content. The Snapdragon 888+, despite being almost three years old at this point, still manages to run most of the games at the highest graphics settings. However, the heating issues still remain, and it can get warm quickly during prolonged gaming sessions. The cameras are decent, with good lowlight performance however, there are much better options available in this price segment. Motorola has also delivered the Android 13 update, and the user experience remains smooth and fluid with no bloatware or ads. The 4,400mAh is the phone’s Achilles’ heel, lasting only 4-5 hours on normal usage. Thankfully, you get 68W charging, which can top up the device within an hour.

A sensible buy for those who want the niceties of a flagship phone but can’t quite afford one. The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is not cheap, but it does cost less than most with a curved glass and metal design. And its older Snapdragon processor still holds up well. Cost-related sacrifices include wireless charging, proper water resistance, and a zoom camera, but the money versus features calculation makes sense here.

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is a premium mid-range smartphone with a lot going for it, boasting a great screen, super-fast charging, powerful performance, a dependable set of cameras and decent battery life. But for a telephoto camera, better low-light performance and better durability, it would be an easy recommendation. At the price of entry there is a lot of accomplished competition, but the Fusion should definitely be in your sights.

With the Edge 30 Ultra being such a pleasantly powerful surprise, there was always going to be a fairly long shadow cast over the other Edge devices. For the most part, the Fusion succeeds in escaping from that shadow and shining a light of its own. The display is still fantastic, with excellent colour reproduction and a generous 144Hz refresh rate, while battery life is decent and the 68W fast charging is good enough for most people as well. You can definitely get equal or slightly better performance for less money, but you will end up sacrificing other areas to reach it, be it battery life, features or overall design appeal. In short, if your budget doesn’t stretch quite as far as the Ultra, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is a solid consolation prize, even if it does narrowly miss out on a recommendation.

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is not a flagship, but it could have been in the running to become one. Premium design, fast performance, balanced features, and a unique approach to software are all about it. Thanks to the adequate price tag, Fusion can easily be called a "flagship killer." And it adequately complements the segment of "budget" flagships that offer almost the same as the devices of the TOP segment for reasonable money.

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is a solid-but-not-groundbreaking mid-range Android phone. It’s a good fit for folks who want some surface-level gloss. The curved glass front and back panels here provide more of it than you get in most other phones at the price. It has a great processor (albeit an 'older' one), making the Fusion ready for gaming, plus good speakers and a super-bright screen that's undeniable. The actual look of the phone might seem a bit bland to some, once you look beyond that curved glass, but it’s one of the top contenders in this category.

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion Viva Magenta isn't new but when you look at the overall package and what it costs, it turns out to be a brilliant smartphone. Rs. 40000 gets you a beautiful design and superb fit-and-finish, great performance, splendid battery life, very fast charging, a clean Android experience, and a nice display. The cameras have always been an achilles heel for Motorola devices and I hoped to see some work done on tuning it right. Also, launching it with Android 13 would be a nice idea in early 2023. Nonetheless, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion Viva Magenta is now our top recommendation at Rs. 40000 if you seek a great premium Android experience. Those seeking better cameras can look at the iPhone SE 3 and the iQOO 9.

Maybe, but probably not. It’s not that the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion isn’t a good phone, but because the Google Pixel 6a is arguably an equally good phone that retails for $150 less, and is frequently available at much lower prices than that, under $600. I’ve even seen the Google Pixel 7 for $749. The Pixel 6a has an IP67 rating as opposed to the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion which is only IP52, so the Pixel is more durable as well as having a better battery life and access to Android 13 (instead of just 12). However, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion has a slightly faster chip, more RAM, a slightly brighter screen, and a higher megapixel camera. It really depends on what your priority is. Most people aren’t really going to notice the difference much between the two in practice, and in the budget flagship space, a $150 saving is a lot.

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is a mid-range phone with an uncommon level of design polish and near-flagship performance. Its camera, while obviously short of the very best, can capture good shots in reasonable lighting. As ever, Motorola’s software is a delight to use, with minimal bloat and thoughtful customisations. Recharging is appreciably swift, too, courtesy of a bundled-in 68W plug. There are a couple of drawbacks, including underwhelming battery life, a lack of decent waterproofing, and a fairly average camera offering beyond the main sensor. What’s more, for most people, the OnePlus Nord 2T achieves broadly the same effect, to varying degrees, for £100 less. Motorola needs to push the boat out a little further to produce a genuine stand-out mid-ranger, but the Edge 30 Fusion is easy to recommend to anyone looking for a classy phone on a slightly reduced budget.

The Moto Edge 30 Fusion does offer a lot of similar features and in some ways a similar experience to the Moto Edge 30 Ultra, which I reviewed a few weeks ago. However, the lack of wireless charging, whilst not a deal breaker, would have been nice to have this inclusion. Coupled with some issues with the camera, given it’s not too bad with the results, the issues with low light can be a little disappointing. That being said there is a lot to like with the Moto Edge 30 Fusion, from the experience to the features and overall experience and design alongside the price, it certainly makes the Moto Edge 30 Fusion worthy of consideration if you’re after a device which won’t completely break the bank.

The Edge 30 Fusion is aimed at those who wish to experience flagship-level performance without spending a fortune. Its striking design is similar to what you would typically see on a high-end smartphone. The phone also has a good camera setup, a stunning display, 68W fast charging support, and decent stereo speakers. Moreover, the stock like Android UI is clean and simple to use, with the promise of two years of software updates. Yes, the camera quality could have been better and the lack of wireless charging is a bummer. Aside from that, it’s a phone that’s difficult to ignore. So, if you’re looking for overall flagship performance at a mid-range price, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion can be a good choice.

At Rs 44,999, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is a reasonably good premium mid-range offering. It balances performance and experience, although it needs to catch up in the optics department. But, there is nothing major that cannot be fixed with a software update. So, if you are looking for a sufficiently powerful smartphone with a clean user experience, and good enough cameras, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is the one for you.

The camera quality is just about what you would expect from a mid-range phone, which is to say that it is overall good enough while shooting stills and video for a regular user to be satisfied. There are some things that we found to be disappointing with the Edge 30 Fusion though. One of the more obvious ones is that it has only 2 years of software support and 3 years of security patches. We can accept this if it was the cheaper Edge 30 Neo, but it becomes a bit hard to swallow when we are talking about a €599 phone. There’s also the issue with the haptic feedback, where the vibration motor seems to be either loose, or not tuned correctly. There is a menu in the settings called “Vibration and haptic strength,” but once opened there is no option to control how strong the vibration is. Despite its mishaps, however, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is undoubtedly a great mid-range phone and deserves to be among the best of them in 2022. If you don’t mind its few cons, you would likely be happy with one in your hand.

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is an all-rounded phone that has a beautiful design layout, which illuminates premium vibes. Inside the hood, you will obtain a decent performance with robust CPU and GPU support, even though the Snapdragon 888+ chipset is slightly older. Though you will notice a few hiccups, they won’t able any issues in the long run. As for the photos and videos, the camera quality is great. On the other hand, it could be an amazing choice if the company provides a telephoto lens and added secondary storage unit. Anyway, the phone stands out in its respective clean UI segment, while it does give tough competition to the other flagship phone. On the other hand, if you are looking for an alternative option you can check the Xiaomi Redmi K50i smartphone for more customization in a decent price range.

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is quite a good offering that looks stylish and has good features. The phone packs premium hardware and offers a great user experience. While the design is a subjective area, I quite liked it and I feel others would agree too. The camera offers good performance but it needs a little bit of software tweaking in order to do proper justice to the hardware. Also, while the phone can record up to 8K videos, the internal storage is limited to only 128GB, so a higher storage option would have been nice to have. The Edge 30 Fusion is also slightly expensive at Rs. 42,999 compared to most other phones with a Snapdragon 888+ SoC. In fact, its premium sibling, the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, is on sale for the same price at the time of publishing this review (Rs. 44,999 otherwise). The Edge 30 Pro comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, wireless charging, and a better set of cameras, making it a much better deal right now compared to the Edge 30 Fusion. However, if you want a slim and light design along with a sturdier aluminium frame, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is the better choice.

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion smartphone was announced in September 2022, and the phone arrived with a price tag of $500 (Rs 39,999 in India) approx. As far as the primary specs are concerned, you are getting a 6.55-inches P-OLED display panel with a high 144Hz refresh rate and 1100 nits brightness rating. All of that comes with a 402-pixel density. The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion phone renders on the latest Android 12 OS. For the chipset a 5nm – Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888+ 5G chipset powers the device and can reach up to 1×2.99 GHz clocking speed at max. The device is available in 8GB/12GB RAM with a 128GB/256GB/512GB internal storage option, while a micro SD card slot is missing. For photography and videography, there are triple rear cameras with a 50MP primary with OIS support, a 13MP ultrawide, and a 2MP depth lens. On the front side, you get a 32MP selfie camera in this smartphone. You can record 8K videos at 30 fps with gyro-EIS support with the main camera and 4K videos with the selfie camera.

The Edge 30 Fusion is a whole lot of phone for £500. It’s got the performance to best pretty much anything in its price bracket, along with a stunning screen, premium looks and an all-day battery. That main camera takes a great photo, too. There are a few black marks: the lack of wireless charging, despite it appearing on the more wallet-friendly Edge 30 Neo, a depth camera that doesn’t add any real value, and a bare minimum IP rating that won’t be much cop in a rain shower. Rivals like the Xiaomi 12 Lite and Nothing Phone 1 arguably have it matched on the styling front for less cash, too – even if they can’t compete on power. If you were eyeing up a Google Pixel 6, though? The Edge 30 Fusion definitely puts the cat among the pigeons.

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is priced in India at Rs 42,999, but with an inaugural discount of Rs 3,000, the handset can be yours at Rs 39,999. Should you buy it? If you value a good design with some great hardware, then the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is worth buying. True, the phone lacks the expandable storage option and has to work on its battery life, skin tones, and faulty touches on the curved screen, among other things. But, the bottom line is that the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is a capable device that can give its competitors a run for their money. The handset can handle almost everything thrown at it and still look elegant. The phone also offers a reliable camera setup, a gorgeous screen to look at, fast charging solution, and impressive stereo speakers. Furthermore, the device’s software is closer to stock Android and eligible for two years of OS updates.

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is an incredibly well-rounded device. It sports a very classy design that just exudes a premium aura in so many ways, be it for its symmetry of lines or choice of materials and finishes. Beneath that gorgeous exterior is some great hardware, including an impressive 10-bit, HDR10+, 144Hz AMOLED display with excellent brightness and some of the most functional and dynamic high refresh rate handling around. All things considered, we liked our time with the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion a lot. It's a great phone that should seamlessly fit into most lifestyles and meet anything but the most specific and stringent requirements. It's an honest, well-rounded phone that does not rely on any specific gimmick to stand out but instead works hard to seamlessly blend in as any great tool should. We give it a hearty recommendation.

The Edge 30 Fusion is Motorola’s latest mid-range phone that aims to combine high-end specs with a beautiful new design, all while cutting the right corners to achieve its more affordable price of 599.99 euros. Taking a closer look at the Edge 30 Fusion, we immediately noticed how much it borrows from its more pricey sibling that it launched alongside — the Edge 30 Ultra. Motorola has managed to keep two of the biggest pros from its flagship model, which in this case is the amazing display and gorgeous design.

It’s too soon to give our final verdict just yet, so stay tuned for that a little later. However, we certainly can say that there have been some encouraging signs that we’ve seen in the brief time that we’ve spent with the handset. The design certainly does both look and feel good, which is a feather in Motorola’s cap given how much emphasis was placed on it, and the screen is also highly impressive, particularly due to its very high refresh rate. Though I’ve not have enough time to fully assess either the performance or the battery, there were no discouraging sings in the case of the former, and plenty of reason for encouragement in the latter. A great deal of this phone’s appeal is likely to rest on the camera; be a success and it’s a handset that will likely be recommended, but if it fails to reach great heights then the device may end up as nothing particularly remarkable. The specs do give us cause for hope, so remember to check back to see our final opinion once the full review is published, after a thorough test of the phone’s capabilities.
