Die ARM Mali-G78MP14 ist eine integrierte High-End-Grafikeinheit für ARM-SoCs, die erstmals Ende 2020 im Smartphone- und Tablet-Chip Samsung Exynos 2100 verbaut wurde (z.B. Galaxy S21 Serie). Die G78MP124 integriert 14 der 24 möglichen Kerne/Cluster und nutzt die 2. Generation der Valhall-Architektur. Im Vergleich zur G77 bietet die G78 zwei neue Features: Asynchronous Top Level und Fragment Dependency Tracking.

Die GPU zählt damit zu den schnellsten Grafikkarten für Android-Smartphones in 2020 und daher sollten alle aktuellen Spiele flüssig dargestellt werden.

An Grafik-APIs unterstützt die G78 OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.1 und OpenCL 2.0.

Die Qualcomm Adreno 650 ist eine im Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 ARM-SoC865 Plus und 870 5G integrierte Grafikeinheit für Smartphones und Tablets. Der Chip ist ab Anfang 2020 erhältlich und wird hauptsächlich in Android-basierten High-End Geräten eingesetzt. Die GPU besitzt einen Basistakt von 250 MHz und je nach Modell eine Burst Frequency von 587 (SD865), 646 MHz (SD865+) bzw. 670 MHz (SD870) .

Laut Qualcomm bietet die Adreno 650 GPU eine um 25% höhere Performance als die alte Adreno 640 im Snapdragon 855. Dies wird durch +50% mehr ALUs und +50% mehr Takt der Pixelshader erreicht.

Die Performance in unseren ersten Benchmarks mit einem Referenzgerät von Qualcomm ist exzellent und kann sich an die Spitze aller GPUs für Android-Devices setzen. Die ARM Mali-G76 MP16 (z.B. Kirin 990) wird knapp abgehängt und im 3DMark Sling Shot Extreme Test kann sich die Adreno 650 sogar an die Spitze setzen. In GFXBench ist nur die Apple A13 GPU schneller.

Dadurch eignet sich der Adreno 650 auch für alle anspruchsvollen 3D-Spiele unter Android. Eine Neuheit ist auch das der GPU-Treiber im Play-Store von Android verfügbar sein soll.

Über die GPU lassen sich Displays (max. 2) mit 4K-Auflösung bei 60 Hz bzw QHD+ mit 144 Hz ansteuern.
