In terms of performance, the refreshed GT60 is better than its predecessor in every way. We like the laptop a lot, but it still has some issues that prevent it from being completely Kick Ass. While it’s not the most expensive notebook we’ve ever reviewed, it’s certainly not cheap at $2,100.

MSI keeps doing what it does best by creating gaming laptops that offer some of today's most advanced components in a well-built and familiar package. The end result may not be the most stylish or portable laptop, and it's a long way from being the thinnest, but the GT60 2OD 3K IPS Edition has bags of potential where it counts and you'd be hard pushed to find any laptop as capable as this for under £2,000.

Starting with the build quality and design of the GT60 20D we have a system which offers quite a spread of experiences. First and foremost the main chassis is decent, but it does feel a little dated when compared to some of the competition... and it is an evolution of a couple year old chassis which explains that... but the brushed metal effect areas do add to the quality.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M: High-End Grafikkarte der GeForce 700M Serie basierend auf der Kepler Architektur.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
