70% Lenovo Thinkpad T14s Gen 6 review: getting down to business
Quelle: Creative Bloq Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo Thinkpad T14s Gen 6 is a new premium Snapdragon laptop that gets a lot of the fundamentals right. It has a truly great keyboard, brilliant battery life and a design that means you can take it anywhere. Its Achilles heel is software support, Arm on Windows, after seven years, still isn’t ready for the big time, and many popular programmes will refuse to run. As such, the Lenovo is a proof of concept, but not ready to fit into creator workflows.

Finally, a ThinkPad model that checks all the boxes for me as a working professional
Quelle: Zdnet.com Englisch EN→DE
Prices for the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 start at $1,598, which is about what you'd expect from a ThinkPad with this level of hardware. I highly recommend the laptop to professionals (or anyone really) who want a lightweight powerhouse that can handle a wide array of office and productivity workloads. You can also configure this machine with higher-end components, including a 1TB SSD, but that will bring the price up to around $1,600. If you prefer something cheaper with a solid chipset, Lenovo is selling the ThinkPad T14s with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset, starting at $1,181.

80% Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 review

With a few notable exceptions, the recent history of laptops has been a two-sided affair between Intel and AMD. Microsoft did dip its toes into ARM-based machines infamously with the Surface RT, a machine that ran a compiled-for-ARM version of Windows 8.1. The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 isn't remotely similar to that device, which couldn't run Win32 applications. Instead, this is a conventional laptop running Windows 11 Pro 24H2 for ARM. While there will always be issues running Intel X64 code in emulation, the advantages of Snapdragon X are well represented by the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6. If you hate running out of battery power, then this is the laptop for you.

80% Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 Snapdragon review
Quelle: Techradar Englisch EN→DE
Lenovo's ThinkPad lineup continues to impress, particularly with the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 featuring Snapdragon. I have been a fan of the ThinkPad series for years, and appreciation won't fade soon. The ThinkPad T14s is part of the T series, positioning it as a business ultrabook with enterprise features geared more towards professionals than casual users or entry-level business laptops. We're big fans of the AMD-powered Gen 4 (see out Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 4 business laptop review). But how does the Gen 6 Snapdragon stack up against some of the best Lenovo ThinkPad laptops? Well, this model boasts excellent ports, outstanding battery life, a fanless design, and a strong balance of power, weight, and battery performance. Additionally, it offers a decent display for business purposes. This laptop is excellent for what it's meant to be great for, and that's a good thing.

80% Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 review: A business laptop that shines where it matters
Quelle: Laptop Mag Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 is in many ways the perfect business laptop, despite a few flaws. It offers strong overall performance, incredible battery life, and a lightweight design, the three traits that are arguably the most important for professionals. This laptop is light enough to bring on your commute with ease and has the power and battery life to keep up with everyday work tasks without needing a charger during your lunch break. Of course, the ThinkPad T14s isn’t perfect and its flaws could be deal breakers. For instance, it had very weak graphics performance in our benchmark tests. Its Snapdragon processor may also face compatibility issues with certain apps and games.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 (14 Snapdragon) review – AI Powerhouse with Epic Battery Life
Quelle: Laptop Media Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 (14″ Snapdragon) is a well-built machine that could be a dream come true for professionals on the go who need a good AI performance. In addition to that, the battery has enough juice for almost 20 hours of videos despite the modest 58Wh capacity. This laptop’s adequate input devices and nice comfort under load, make it an ideal portable machine. The 1200p IPS touchscreen (NV140WUM-T08 (LEN403D)) is PWM-free, has wide viewing angles, and 400 nits of max brightness. That’s all you need for normal home or office work. If you want better color coverage, the optional 2.8K OLED unit will do the job if money isn’t a problem. Since there is a Snapdragon SoC under the bonnet, it’s not a secret that the upgradability is limited. You can change the NVMe drive, that’s all.

90% Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 review: A safe pair of hands that will last for days
Quelle: It Pro Englisch EN→DE
There's plenty to love about the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 – from its immense power to long-lasting battery life. While there are a couple of minor downsides to picking this up, including the lack of detail in the display as well as the unsightly chassis, its build quality and lightness more than make up for it. It also features narrower bezels than older ThinkPad devices and is available in an OLED configuration – which means these minor bugbears are easy to resolve. For a starting retail price of £1,600, it's a great piece of enterprise machinery that will help you unlock higher levels of productivity in a package that may, in previous generations, cost so much more.

80% Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 review: A workhorse that never dies
Quelle: PC World Englisch EN→DE
The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 could be a brilliant laptop in the right hands. It’s not a high-performance workhorse and the variable performance it sees in different conditions makes it a little hard to rely on for speed. Some of that volatility may get ironed out as Snapdragon laptop chips spend a little more time in the real world. In spite of this, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 still remains a consistent machine in lighter tasks, likely thanks to the extra memory Lenovo is essentially insisting on. Beyond that, this is a high-utility laptop. The keyboard is OK. The display isn’t the sharpest or most gorgeous, but ensures visibility in most conditions.

80% Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 (Snapdragon) Review
Quelle: PC Mag Englisch EN→DE
We wish the 2.8K OLED screen and 4G or 5G mobile broadband options were available now, but except for that and the webcam bug (which subtracts half a star), we find few faults with the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6. Assuming its price doesn't suddenly skyrocket again, it's a tad heavier than the ThinkPad X1 Carbon but also slightly cheaper, earning an Editors' Choice nod in its own right. Qualcomm versus Intel and AI aside, it's a genuine alternative to the legendary X1 Carbon. Our laptop praise doesn't get any higher than that.
