EN→DE Archive.org versionLenovo's ThinkPad Edge E220s is going to face stiff compeition with the new ultrabooks but its pricing of under $800 is going to be very attractive for businesses or consumers that are looking for a relatively thin and capable ultraportable. It retains the solid build quality that Lenovo has been known for along with their excellent keyboard designs.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe ThinkPad Edge E220s isn’t the thinnest or lightest business notebook, but the whole package comes together very nicely. We definitely wish that the display wasn’t glossy and that the battery lasted longer than 5 hours, but the great keyboard and sexy looks compensate well. If you want an ultraportable that won’t break your budget, the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E220s is one of our top picks.

EN→DE Archive.org versionUsually ultraportables have really great battery life, but the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E220s is another story. Expect to get about 4 hours of battery life, when other similar models get at least another hour more.

EN→DE Archive.org versionFor some people, a laptop needs to be a full-fledged computer that offers some portability as a secondary factor. Balancing between ultraportable and full-size laptop, the 12-inch ThinkPad Edge E220s offers an exceedingly compact computing experience matched by an upscale design, marred only by subpar battery life.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe ThinkPad Edge E220s is the best-looking and most comfortable small business notebook on the market. Its gorgeous soft-plastic and chrome design makes a bold statement in the boardroom or the coffee shop and its keyboard provides the best typing experience in the business. Plus, its slight frame fits comfortably in even the smallest bag. Our only issue is the E220's below-average battery life, though the approximate 5 hours of runtime will be long enough for many users. If you need more endurance, consider the $855 Toshiba Portege R835, which lasts an hour and a half longer on a charge. However, if you want the ultimate in small business style and comfort, the ThinkPad Edge E220s should be at the top of your list.
