Abgesehen von der besseren Optik und Haptik konnten wir kaum Unterschiede zum Vorgänger Moto G5 Plus feststellen. Es mag sein, dass die Kameraqualität verbessert wurde – wenn ja, dann allerdings nicht merklich. Das ist prinzipiell auch in Ordnung, denn schon beim G5 Plus waren wir diesbezüglich positiv überrascht. Bei der nächsten Generation eines Smartphones erwartet man aber doch irgendwie ein offensichtliches Upgrade.

Overall, the Moto G5S Plus is a decent upgrade to the G5 Plus and the company has priced it at Rs. 15999 and sticks to single 4GB + 64GB version. Modell: Während das Lenovo Moto G5 Plus vor einiger Zeit ohne großes Aufsehen auf den Markt gebracht wurde, schien es Motorola nicht zufriedenzustellen. Daher trafen sie die Entscheidung, zur Behebung der früheren Mängel ein Update mit der Bezeichnung Lenovo Moto G5s Plus einzuführen. Eine Schwachstelle war das Gehäuse, das bei der vorigen Version vollständig aus Kunststoff war. Dagegen ist das Moto G5s Plus aus vollständig aus Aluminium und sollte damit weniger billig und ein bisschen hochwertiger wirken. Das Moto G5s Plus unterscheidet sich von seinem Vorgänger dadurch, dass es mit 5,5 Zoll viel größer ist. Damit ist es für User, die ihre Smartphones zum Medienkonsum verwenden angemessen groß. In puncto Hardware ist das Moto G5s Plus jetzt mit einem Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4 GB RAM und 64 GB Speicher ausgestattet. Damit ist es mit den meisten Mittelklasse-Geräten seiner Klasse gleichauf. Für seinen Preis bietet das Moto G5s Plus ein IPS-Display mit FHD-Auflösung. Obwohl es sich nicht um ein OLED-Display handelt liefert es ein lebendiges und kräftiges Bild. Allerdings bleibt die Helligkeit hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Erfreulich ist, dass das Moto G5s Plus in der Sonne lesbar bleibt, während viele preisgünstige Phones für den Einsatz in hellen Umgebungen zu dunkel sind. Motorola hat auch einige Extras inkludiert, beispielsweise einen benutzerdefinierten Nachtmodus, der es Ihnen ermöglicht die Farbtemperatur des Bildschirms in der Nacht anzupassen, womit die Verwendung des Phones in der Nacht angenehmer wird.

In puncto Software ist am Moto G5s Plus Android Nougat 7.1.1 vorinstalliert. Ein Update auf Android Oreo 8.0 ist zugesichert. Da die Moto-Serie großteils unverändertes Android nutzt, können Sie sich sicher sein, dass das Phone nicht mit Bloatware beladen ist. Das kann sich positiv auf Akkulaufzeit oder sogar die Qualitätsanmutung auswirken. Bezüglich Kameras erhielt das Moto G5s Plus nun ein Upgrade auf ein Setup bestehend aus zwei 13-MP-Sensoren mit f/2.0 Blende an der Rückseite. Während die meisten Dual-Kameras beim Zooming besser abschneiden, ist das beim Moto G5s Plus nicht der Fall, denn sein Dual-Kamera-Setup wird vorwiegend für Hintergrundunschärfe benutzt. Das ist etwas seltsam, da dies die eigentliche Aufgabe eines Dual-Kamera-Setups wäre. Ein großer Nachteil der Kamera sind etwas lange Bearbeitungszeiten. Allerdings sind die Ergebnisse gut, denn sie erzeugt einen DSLR-ähnlichen Effekt. Im Allgemeinen ist die Bildqualität dank eines Auto-HDR-Modus, der unabhängig von den Bedingungen kompromisslose Aufnahmen ermöglicht, solide. Allerdings leiden bei Nachtaufnahmen die Details. Akkulaufzeit ist heutzutage nicht alles. Mit seinem 3000-mAh-Akku in Kombination mit dem Mittelklasse-Chipset hält das Moto G5s Plus beim Gaming 5,5 Stunden durch. Das heißt, dass man sich bei mäßiger Verwendung eine ganztägige Nutzung erwarten kann. Sollten Sie sich USB-Type-C erwartet haben, werden Sie bitter enttäuscht sein. Allerdings unterstützt das Moto G5s Plus Quick-Charging, obwohl es mit einem MicroUSB-Port ausgestattet ist. Auf der einen Seite erhielt das G5s große Verbesserungen, doch auf der anderen Seite gibt es einige kleinere Probleme mit der Kamera, die die Bearbeitungsgeschwindigkeit betreffen. Ansonsten ist das Moto G5s Plus brauchbares Phone.
