Lenovo Ideapad 120s-11IAP
Das Lenovo IdeaPad 120s-11IAP ist ein Einstiegsnotebook. Das IdeaPad ist toll für Käufer mit einfachen Anforderungen, denn für mehr als das reicht es nicht. Das Gerät reicht aus für Nutzer, die leger im Internet surfen, Emails lesen und sich gelegentlich online Videos anschauen. Trotz der rechteckigen Form des Laptops schaffte es Lenovo, das Gehäuse des IdeaPad 120s mit schön abgekanteten Rändern und einem netten matten Finish interessanter zu gestalten. Das Lenovo-Logo wurde auf den Deckel gestempelt, die Farbe ist gleich, bloß hat es eine glänzende Oberfläche. Dies verleiht dem Aussehen des Laptops ein gewisses Etwas, ohne mit grellen Farben oder Chrom zu übertreiben. Das Lenovo IdeaPad 120s ist mit einem 11,6-Zoll-Bildschirm und einer Auflösung von 1366 x 768 ausgestattet. Die Bildschirmgröße ist für ein Notebook, das man mit sich trägt, in Ordnung, und der Text wirkt klar und scharf. Nutzer können die Helligkeit von sehr dunkel bis sehr hell einstellen, je nach Lichtverhältnissen. Allerdings sind die Farben sehr gedämpft, alles wirkt ein wenig trübe. Das Display ist definitiv nutzbar, doch ein atemberaubendes visuelles Erlebnis sollte man beim Lenovo IdeaPad 120s nicht erwarten.
Die Celeron N3350 CPU und die 2 GB RAM des IdeaPad 120s eignen sich eher für Mono- als Multitasking. Die armseligen 2 GB Arbeitsspeicher schließen Multitasking aus; wenn mehr als eine Handvoll Applikationen geöffnet sind, kann das Gerät erstarren. Die Celeron-CPU kommt mit einfachen Office- und Haushaltsaufgaben zurecht, alles andere ist zu viel verlangt. Man sollte bei erweiterten Arbeiten mit Drosselungen der Leistung rechnen. Was den Speicherplatz anbelangt, steht eMMC-Flash-Speicher mit 64 GB zur Verfügung, was in dieser Preisklasse in etwa durchschnittlich ist. 64 GB ist schon insgesamt nicht viel; sieben GB sind für das Betriebssystem reserviert, da bleibt für den Endnutzer nur wenig Platz. Mit einer Akkuladung kann man ungefähr fünf Stunden lang gewöhnliche Aufgaben erledigen, was für einen günstigen Laptop beeindruckend ist. Es hat etwas mit dem Low-End-Prozessor sowie anderen energieeffizienten Komponenten zu tun. Fünf Stunden bei 100% Bildschirmhelligkeit sind ein gutes Stück Zeit. Wenn man einen ganzen Tag arbeiten will, wäre eine Helligkeitssenkung zu empfehlen. Das Trackpad funktioniert gut, und die Tastatur ist gemütlich. Es gibt für jede mögliche Anforderung den passenden Anschluss, inklusive einer USB-3.0-Schnittstelle mit Always-on-Ladefunktion. Entlang der linken Seite des Lenovo IdeaPad 120s gibt es je einen USB-C-, HDMI-, USB-3.0-, und Netzanschluss. Auf der rechten Seite findet man eine Rückstelltaste, einen Mikro-SD-Kartenleser, einen Audioanschluss, und noch eine USB-C-Schnittstelle. Der Klang der Lautsprecher, die sich auf der Unterseite des Gerätes befinden, lässt viel zu wünschen übrig.

Lenovo:
Lenovo („Le“ vom englischen legend, novo (Latein) für neu) wurde 1984 als chinesische Computerhandelsfirma gegründet. Ab 2004 war die Firma der größte Laptop-Hersteller Chinas und nach der Übernahme der PC-Sparte von IBM im Jahr 2005 der viertgrößte weltweit. Neben Desktops und Notebooks stellt das Unternehmen Monitore, Beamer, Server etc her und hat sich auf die Entwicklung, Herstellung und Vermarktung von Unterhaltungselektronik, Personalcomputern, Software, Unternehmenslösungen und damit verbundenen Dienstleistungen spezialisiert.
Im Jahr 2016 belegte das Unternehmen weltweit den ersten Platz bei den Computerverkäufen. Auch 2023 hatte es ihn noch inne bei ca 23% Weltmarktanteil. Wichtige Produktreihen sind Thinkpad, Legion und Ideapad.
2011 wurde die Mehrheit der Medion AG übernommen, einem europäischen Computer-Hardware-Hersteller. 2014 wurde Motorola Mobility gekauft, wodurch Lenovo einen Schub am Smartphone-Markt erreichte.
Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.

Intel Celeron:
Celeron N3350: Sparsamer Dual-Core-SoC aus der Apollo-Lake-Serie für preiswerte Notebooks. Taktet mit 1,1 bis 2,4 GHz und integriert eine DirectX-12-fähige Grafikeinheit. Im Vergleich zu früheren Atom-Generation wurde die Pro-MHz-Leistung der CPU-Architektur signifikant gesteigert und ebenso die Grafikeinheit verbessert.
Intel Pentium:
Pentium N4200: Sparsamer Quad-Core-SoC aus der Apollo-Lake-Serie für preiswerte Notebooks. Taktet mit 1,1 bis 2,5 GHz und integriert eine DirectX-12-fähige Grafikeinheit. Im Vergleich zu früheren Atom-Generation wurde die Pro-MHz-Leistung der CPU-Architektur signifikant gesteigert und ebenso die Grafikeinheit verbessert.

14.00:
14 Zoll Display-Grösse stellt ein Mittelding zwischen den kleinen Subnotebook-Formaten und den Bildschirmen der 15 Zoll-Standard-Laptops dar.
Der Grund der Beliebtheit mittelgrosser Displays ist, dass diese Größe einigermaßen augenschonend ist, gute Auflösungen mit brauchbaren Detailgrößen liefern und dennoch nicht allzu viel Strom verbraucht und die Geräte noch halbwegs kompakt sein können.
Früher waren 14 Zoll-Geräte sehr selten, jetzt stellen sie nach den 15-Zollern den Standard bei Laptops dar.

71.34%: Diese Bewertung ist schlecht. Locker drei Viertel der Modelle werden besser beurteilt. Das ist eher keine Kaufempfehlung. Auch wenn Verbalbewertungen in diesem Bereich gar nicht so schlecht klingen ("genügend" oder "befriedigend"), meist sind es Euphemismen, die eine Klassifikation als unterdurchschnittliches Notebook verschleiern.
