Das V10 lässt sich jedoch nicht die Butter vom Brot nehmen, sondern hält eine Reihe von Details parat, die es zu einer brauchbaren Alternative werden lassen.

Ja und nein, vielleicht sogar irgendwas dazwischen und das liegt an mehreren Faktoren. Das LG V10 bietet mit seinem neuen Design, dem Militärzertifizierungs-Standard und dem Second Screen ein paar grundlegend eigene Features, doch muss man hier deutlich abwägen, denn in Puncto Leistung unterscheiden sich die Geräte absolut nicht.

Das V10 wirkt wie ein Experiment: LG stopft so viele neue Gimmicks wie möglich in ein Smartphone um zu sehen, welche Funktionen bei den Usern gut ankommen. Es ist dennoch ein gutes Gerät, aber einige Features wirken dem V10 aufgezwungen und sind eigentlich unnötig.

Die Aufnahme von Videos in 4K (3840 mal 2160 Pixel) ist beim LG V10 auf 5 Minuten begrenzt - hier haben andere Modelle wie das Apple iPhone 6S bzw. 6S Plus oder das Sony Xperia Z5 eine deutlich bessere Leistung erbracht. Ansonsten ist positiv hervorzuheben, dass der Nutzer während der Aufnahme um das achtfache in Video hineinzoomen kann. Dafür steht über den Second Screen ganz oben ein Zoomregler zur Verfügung. Um den Zoom zu betätigen, muss man das Rad gedrückt halten und dann entsprechend nach oben oder unten ziehen.

Das LG V10 ist ein sehr gut ausgestattetes Smartphone mit vielen besonderen Funktionen und Neuerungen und nur einer großen Schwäche: Die Laufzeit des Akkus kann nicht überzeugen, denn diese bewegt sich eher auf durchschnittlichen Niveau. Da der Akku jedoch austauschbar ist, kann man als Nutzer über die mittelmäßige Akkulaufzeit nochmal hinweg sehen.

Das LG V10 konnte im Test durch seine starke Leistung, der recht sauberen Android-Oberfläche und vor allem durch die Kamera-App mit den vielfältigen Einstellungs­möglich­keiten überzeugen. Zudem ist es eines der wenigen Oberklasse-Smartphones mit wechselbarem Akku. Das Design ist robust genug für den Outdoor-Einsatz, aber dennoch ansprechend. Auch Video- und Musik-Fans werden mit dem V10 ihre Freude haben, da das Handy vor allem für diese Bereiche optimiert wurde.

LG is famous for its rich in functions UI and its absolutely brilliant manifestation in the V10 was not a surprise to us. Its great functionality is further supplemented by several pre-installed apps. The performance of the phone is also quite high because of the Snapdragon 808 which is quite powerful and does not heat excessively the construction, even after a long stress test. A drawback that can be mentioned is the not so acceptable battery performance, despite the capacity of 3000mAh. There are no remarks as far as cameras are concerned, and this applies not only for the rear 16MP one, but also to the two front-facing cameras allowing you to take group selfies. In addition you get some manual settings.

Moreover, it's awkwardly timed. Unless you bought the V10 right when it arrived in midfall, you're probably better off waiting to see if the G5 gives you some of the features (a fingerprint reader and manual video controls seem like shoo-ins) on top of CPU and camera upgrades.

The story of the V10 is a basic LG smartphone — with a removable back cover and battery, microSD expansion and a ton of screen acreage, it’s a great canvas to expand upon — and instead of adding on curves and leather, it’s replaced with armor, a toolbelt and more control. Style’s been put away for silicon. UI software tweaks have been passed up for camera software tweaks. And there’s obviously one extra camera on the V10 that isn’t on the G4. This phone has been underrated and downplayed since when we first heard of it, mostly because we’ve considered it to be a niche phone.

In the past, Android manufacturers would include strange gimmicks to set their phones apart. We look back at those times with rose-colored glasses, but it’s never as good as we remember. All of those weird gimmicks were there to hide flaws and make phones seem more exciting. The V10 is good enough that it doesn’t need any gimmicks. There are a lot of reasons why someone should buy this phone, and the Second Screen is not one of them. Buy this phone for the great camera. Buy it for the big display. Buy it for the battery life. Buy it because you like textured things that feel good in your hand. The Second Screen is like the toy that comes in a Happy Meal. You’re glad you got it, but the main event is the cheeseburger and fries.

Well, does the V10 with all of its stuff and things come together as a winner? Yeah, surprisingly, for the most part there is a heck of a lot like here. This is one of those extremely oversized phones, but it comes in an attractive package, has a beautiful display, top of the line specs in all areas, and performs well. It has a capable camera, handful of actually useful software and hardware add-ons, and can be purchased at most of the major carriers. I really don’t think you can go wrong here.

Modell: Das LG V10 sieht elegant und futuristisch aus und kommt definitiv mit seiner starken Spezifikation mit allen mobilen Anwendungen zurecht. Seine Robustheit ist dank seines Rahmens aus rostfreiem Stahl und der Silikon-Dampfer, die für eine ausgezeichnete Widerstandsfähigkeit bei Erschütterungen sorgen, erste Klasse. Das LG V10 verfügt über ein Militär-Standard-Zertifikat für Falltests und einen Zwei-Schicht-Glas-Bildschirm zum Schutz vor direkten Einwirkungen. Die Abdeckung an der Rückseite weist eine schöne Textur auf, die, in Kombination mit der gerundeten Rückseite, für gute Ergonomie sorgt. Es stehen fünf Farben zur Auswähl: space-black (schwarz), luxe-white (weiß), modern-beige (beige), ocean blue (blau) und opal blue (blau). Beim Bildschirm handelt es sich um ein 5,7 Zoll großes Quad HD IPS LCD Panel, das von Corning Gorilla Glass 4 geschützt wird und schöne Farben und eine hohe Helligkeit liefert.

Das Smartphone verfügt über ein Snapdragon 808 Chipset mit einem Cortex-A53 und einem Cortex-A57 Prozessor, 4 GB RAM, eine Adreno 418 GPU und 64 GB internen Speicher. Das LG sieht von der Verwendung eines Snapdragon 810 ab, um Überhitzungsprobleme zu vermeiden. Solche sind von vielen Smartphones, die diesen nutzen, bekannt. An Bord befindet sich eine 16-MP-Kamera an der Rückseite mit Laser-Autofokus und eine 5-MP-Frontkamera. Weitere Features des LG V10 sind Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, NFC, ein Infrarot-Port und microUSB 2.0. Die Akkulaufzeit dieses unglaublich leistungsfähigen Smartphones stellt ein beeindruckender Lithium.Ionen-Akku mit 3000 mAh zur Verfügung.

Qualcomm Adreno 418: Grafikchips für Smartphones und Tablets, integriert im Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC.

Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen.  Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.

Man sollte keinesfalls fehlsichtig sein und man wird generell sehr wenig am Bildschirm sehen und nur eine kleine Auflösung zur Verfügung haben.
