Das LG G4 ist ein Smartphone mit vielen Stärken, aber auch einigen Macken – wie z.B. den Abstürzen im "3DMark ES 3.1 / 3.0 Slingshot" und dem leicht gebogenen Gehäuse aus Polycarbonat, das wir im direkten Vergleich mit dem G3 eher als Rückschritt bewerten. Dafür legt das Display dezent und die Kamera sogar merklich nach.

Wer allerdings nicht so viel Geld ausgeben möchte, kann auch zum G3 greifen. Denn auch hier ist die Ausstattung noch zeitgemäß. Wer vom G3 zum G4 umsteigen möchte, wird vermutlich nicht allzu viele Unterschiede feststellen können. Ich bin mit dem Smartphone G4 wirklich zufrieden. Ob man hierfür über 200 Euro mehr ausgeben möchte, muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden. Ich jedenfalls könnte mir durchaus vorstellen, dass mein nächstes Gerät das hier getestete Smartphone wird.

Alles in allem gehört das LG G4 allermindestens zu den besten High-End-Smartphones am Markt und kann je nach persönlichen Präferenzen durchaus um den Thron konkurrieren. Die Leistung passt, Display und vor allem Kameras sind hervorragend und Look & Feel überzeugen vollständig. Klar, dass LG da auch beim Preis ordentlich hinlangt.

Besitzer des LG G3 können das G4 getrost überspringen – zu gering sind die Unterschiede im Vergleich zum Vorgänger. Wer jedoch ein bereits in die Jahre gekommenes Smartphone besitzt, für den stellt das LG G4 definitiv einen interessanten Kandidaten dar. Es besitzt neben dem Galaxy S6 das wohl derzeit beste Display und spielt auch mit seiner 16-Megapixel-Kamera in einer Riege mit dem iPhone 6 und dem S6.

Das LG G4 hat ein wirklich tolles Display, es hat eine verdammt gute Kamera und es sieht anders und dank Leder gut aus. Trotzdem hat es nicht gereicht, um mein diesjähriger Favorit zu werden. Das ist weiterhin das Samsung Galaxy S6 bei den Androiden. Das G4 wäre aber wohl meine nächste Wahl.

Diese Review bereitete mir sehr viel Kopfzerbrechen und ich verstehe teilweise die Welt nicht mehr. Mit dem LG G4 liegt ein wunderbar performantes Smartphone vor mir, mit tollem Display, ausnehmend guter Kamera und netter Software. Und doch werde ich persönlich mit dem Gerät nicht warm. Vom LG G3 war ich absolut hin und weg, das LG G4 kann mich nicht beeindrucken.

Es hat genug Power, um auch für die einigermaßen weitere Zukunft gewappnet zu sein. Updates wird es dafür wohl auch noch in 2 Jahren geben und die Oberfläche kann man sich mit Themes, Icons, Schriftarten usw. beliebig zusammenstellen. Dazu ein wirklich tolles Display, die beste Kamera, die ich je in einem Smartphone gesehen habe und ein Akku, der vernünftig genutzt, auch mal über den Tag kommen dürfte. Durch den Support von Quick Charge 2.0 ist er in Windeseile wieder aufgeladen, auch wenn man sich das passende Netzteil extra kaufen muss.

Das LG G4 ist ein gutes Android-Smartphone mit einem sehr guten, besonders großen, besonders hochauflösenden Display. Es hat eine gute Netzempfindlichkeit und eignet sich sehr gut zum Surfen im Internet und für E-Mail und funkt mit der schnellen Datenverbindung LTE. Die gute Kamera liefert gute Fotos bei normaler und bei geringer Beleuchtung und gute Videos. Die GPS-Ortung geht sehr schnell mit Internetverbindung und ist langsam ohne Internetverbindung. Navigationsansagen über den eingebauten Lautsprecher sind auch während der Fahrt gut hörbar. Schwache Anleitung. Passt aufgrund seiner Größe nicht in jede Hosentasche. Der Akku ist gut und kann vom Nutzer gewechselt werden. Das Gerät braucht eine Sim-Karte im Micro-Sim-Format. Das LG verfügt über eine Infrarotschnittstelle und kann so zum Beispiel als Fernbedienung eingesetzt werden.

Alles in Allem ist das LG G4 genau das, was das G3 hätte sein sollen. Vor allem Display, Performance, Kamera und Software wurden im Vergleich zum G3 teilweise deutlich verbessert. Zu kritisieren gibt es nur wenig. LGs UI ist aber vermutlich noch immer nicht jedermanns Sache. Gleichzeitig muss man auch sagen, dass sich ein HTC One M9 oder Galaxy S6 auf jeden Fall nochmal eine Ecke hochwertiger anfühlt und etwas besser verarbeitet sind.

Man bekommt für den Preis ein top-ausgestattetes Smartphone mit High-End-Specs, die noch länger nicht veraltet sein werden, eine wundervolle Kamera, ein brillantes Display, das Anwärter auf den Bildschirm-Thron ist sowie einen sehr gut funktionierenden Prozessor, der ohne grössere Macken im Alltag rund läuft. Bei einer Neuanschaffung kann ich allen wärmstens empfehlen, auch das LG G4 in die engere Wahl zu nehmen und es auf jeden Fall einmal persönlich in Augenschein zu nehmen, anzufassen und auszuprobieren.

Nie jest to jednak idealny smartfon, przeciętny czas pracy na baterii oraz wydajności, podpowiadają że warto rozejrzeć się za innym rozwiązanie. Rozczaruje też fakt, że telefon jest dostarczany bez słuchawek i ładowarki szybkiego ładowania.

Both the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the LG G4 have very good designs, but whereas the former is purely a showpiece, the latter is more practical with its removable battery and microSD card slot. LG has gone down an unexpected route with leather models which we like apart from a couple of colours. The so called ceramic model will be cheaper but feels cheap and plasticky. On the whole, hardware is once again strong - particularly the camera - but not massively different from the G3 and has tough competition. We feel build quality could be better with a metal frame and dimensions going down, not the reverse. This is the flagship to go for if you want a removable battery and expandable storage but it's a shame to see features like wireless charging dropped.

For three years in a row, LG was able to differentiate themselves with flagships featuring unconventional design, big battery capacity, good screens and great camera performance. The G4 here is a worthy successor except some details that need a little improvement. For starters, the design is great, build quality is excellent, but there’s a bit more to that. While the leather provides extra grip with good feel, the sharp edges and corners along with overall bigger size, compared to its predecessor, makes the phone harder to use with one hand. It feels a bit impractical, but still outshines its competitors in this department. The screen, on the other hand, brings a lot to the table even though not as much as LG claims. Color accuracy is practically the same (with minor improvement), color gamut coverage is the same, but the contrast ratio is sky-rocketing along with maximum brightness and both greatly improve image quality outdoors. So here’s where the LG G4 rights the wrongs of the G3. Compared side to side, the G3’s screen just looks obsolete.

The G4 may be coming slightly late to this year's flagship smartphone race, but it's certainly got a wealth of features to help it stand out from the competition. While we're not particularly keen on the ceramic or metallic models, the leather back is surprisingly elegant and we definitely prefer it to the slippery glass back of the Galaxy S6. The G4's unique colour spectrum sensor also puts it neck-and-neck with the camera on the back of the S6 and we think its display looks just as sharp and punchy as Samsung's Super AMOLED panels.

The LG G4 is a beautiful phone, from the ergonomic feel of its leather-backed body to the gorgeous quad-HD images that pop out of its Quantum IPS display. Its 16-MP camera is one of the best in its class, with tons of nifty modes for both photo enthusiasts and selfie savants. Like many LG phones in the past, the G4 is a showcase for the strength of the company's technological innovations. The Quad HD LCD looks incredible, and the G4 has the horsepower to drive all those pixels, unlike the G3 before it. The larger image sensor, faster lens, and dedicated color sensor make for some truly stunning still images, and the full manual camera mode opens up a lot of creative photography options. As impressive as these features are, though, none are definitively better than what's on offer with the Galaxy S6.

It's impossible to give a definitive verdict until we've run the LG G4 through our benchmarks, but based on the specifications alone we can judge that the Samsung Galaxy S6 is the higher-specified phone with what we expect will be much faster performance, as well as more bells and whistles including wireless- and quick charging as standard, a heart-rate sensor and a fingerprint scanner, while the £100 cheaper LG G4 offers better value and the added benefits of a microSD card slot and removable battery.

Despite packing a weaker processor than the HTC One M9 and Samsung Galaxy S6 we didn't notice any lag so can't see it being an issue. Even when shooting in RAW it was just as quick as snapping in JPEG alone. The LG G4 is a beautifully designed handset with a display that is visibly better than its predecessor. If this is more affordable than the competition it'll be a very difficult offering to ignore.

The leather is certainly a nice touch, the stitching sets it apart from the Moto X to create a unique, recognizable look. The basic plastic cover is quite good too and you can easily switch covers to keep things fresh. The curvature of the G4 is a nice talking point that will let you brag to your friends, though its practical advantages are pretty slim.

Modell: Die neue LG-Ausgabe wurde von LG-Fans, die sich auf ein weiters elegantes, und schlankes Produkt freuen, lang erwartet. Diesmal hat sich LG mit dem Design des G4 selbst übertroffen. Seine Rückseite ist vollständig aus Leder. Tatsächlich mag es sich um das einzige Smartphone bis jetzt handeln, dessen Rückseite vollständig aus echtem Leder ist und das in zwei Farben verfügbar ist: braun und schwarz. Das restliche Phone unterhalb des Leders und der Bildschirm sind auch besonders. Hier kommt mit Keramik verstärkter Kunststoff zum Einsatz. Beim Bildschirm handelt es sich um einen 5,5 Zoll großen Quantum-Bildschirm mit IPS-Technologie, einer Auflösung von 2560 x 1440 Pixeln und einer Pixeldichte von 538 ppi.

Android 5.1, auch Lollipop genannt, kommt als Betriebssystem zum Einsatz. Das G4 wird durch ein Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Chipset mit X10 LTE und einem 64-bit Hexa-Core-Prozessor mit einer Taktrate von 1,8 GHz angetrieben. Eine Adreno 418 Grafikkarte vervollständigt das Team. Zudem gibt es 32 GB internen Speicher und die Speicherkapazität kann dank eines Speicherkartenslots umd bis zu 2 TB erweitert werden. Das Smartphone ist zirka 9,8 mm hoch und wiegt 155 g, was ziemlich akzeptabel ist.  Wenn Sie sich mit einem stilvollen, raffinierten Phone abheben wollen, können Sie dieses Modell in die engere Wahl nehmen.
