Mit dem Huawei P60 Pro ist dem Unternehmen einmal mehr ein Smartphone mit einem guten Kamerasystem gelungen. Dem würde das Hauptaugenmerk allein gelten, wenn da nicht außerdem die besondere Rückseite in Rococo Pearl wäre. Aber auch die inneren Werte stimmen – und das Display passt gut zum sonstigen Niveau des Smartphones. Weniger klasse sind jedoch der Umstand, dass Google-Dienste immer noch fehlen – und die mehr als sparsam bestückte Huawei AppGallery. Das ist und bleibt der große Negativpunkt der Huawei-Smartphones, der leider Besonderheiten wie die Rückseite oder die gute Kamera in den Schatten stellt.

Low light performance is also uncanny, if best suited to those that prefer their pics artificially illuminated over dark and dingy. Add in all-day battery life and zippy performance, and the Huawei P60 Pro has plenty to like. The lack of Google support does hobble things on the software front, though. Rivals don’t have that disadvantage, and while they might not have lenses that are as lustworthy, they make up for it with larger sensors or higher pixel counts.

Some of the zoom and macro skills of the Huawei P60 Pro’s camera are simply stunning. The colours, the detail even when you’re pushing in 10x and the consistency of the image whether you’re shooting ultra wide or telephoto have absolutely blown me away during my first days with the phone. The camera hardware isn’t quite as impressive on paper as the Xiaomi 13 Ultra or Oppo Find X6 Pro, but the results are some of the very best I have ever from a camera phone. Plus, the far smaller camera housing isn’t anywhere near as in your face as those two competing phones. Camera aside, the P60 Pro has impressed me elsewhere too. The screen has just the right amount of curvature, while the pearly finish on the back of my review sample is soft and comfortable to hold – if a little opulent for my general tastes. But, of course, any Huawei phone comes with caveats.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

Qualcomm Adreno 730: Grafikchip für Smartphones und Tablets, integriert im Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Laut Qualcomm um 30% schneller als die alte Adreno 660 im Snapdragon 888.

SD 8+ Gen 1: High-End SoC (System on a Chip) für Smartphones welcher Ende 2021 vorgestellt wurde. Integriert unter anderen einen schnellen Cortex-X2 "Prime Core" mit bis zu 3,2 GHz und drei weitere schnelle Cortex-A710 basierende Performance-Kerne mit bis zu 2,5 GHz. Zum Stromsparen wurden außerdem 4 weitere ARM Cortex-A510 Kerne verbaut. Integriert ein 5G Modem, WiFi 6e und eine Hexagon AI Engine. Im Vergleich zum SD 8 Gen 1 bietet die Plus Version einen um 200 MHz höher getakteten Prime Core und einen 10% höheren GPU-Takt.
