The HP Spectre x360 (2021) took an already great laptop and made it better. Performance and portability were combined in last year’s HP Spectre x360 model for one of the best laptops we’ve ever seen. And, with the 2021 model, the bar has been raised now that it bears the seal of Intel’s Evo certification. For the certification, the 2021 version of the Spectre has to meet certain standards, the end result being better performance as well as design. This model comes with fantastic battery life, lasting almost 13 hours in our PCMark 10 battery life test, showing that a Windows laptop can last just as long as Chromebooks and MacBooks here. It can also do some casual gaming and boots up very quickly – anyone outside of a hardcore gamer will be impressed. That’s not to say the HP Spectre x360 is perfect. While you can use it in tablet mode thanks to that 360-degree hinge, it’s a bit too bulky and clumsy to function well as a tablet.

What was already an amazing laptop has been made better with the HP Spectre x360 (2021). In last year’s HP Spectre x360 model, portability was effortlessly married with power for one of the best laptops we’ve come across. And, with the inclusion of Intel Evo certification in the 2021 model, that computing experience is even better. Aside from those issues, this is a supremely accomplished laptop that’s great for day-to-day use, including work. However, with starting prices of $1,349/£1,199/AU$3,339 (various markets have different starting configurations), it's pricey. If you have the budget for it, though, you won’t be disappointed.

HP has done stellar work with the Spectre x360 in terms of its sleek and premium design aspects which will surely grab eyeballs. The device might not be meant for handling heavy workloads but packs in enough punch to run through Microsoft Office, Chrome, Adobe’s suite of applications not involving video editing and more. For a starting price of Rs 1,19,900, there are a few competing 2-in-1 options that include the ASUS ExpertBook B9 and the Dell XPS 13 9310, both of which are cheaper but not by a lot. However, none of them have the flashy appeal of the Spectre x360 which is certainly worth spending that extra Rs 5,000 on.

With the HP Spectre x360 (2021), HP has gone to the next level. One of its most spectacular features is its battery life, however. In the intensive PCMark 10 battery life test, the HP Spectre x360 (2021) almost hits the 13 hour mark. We’ve been able to easily make it through a full day of work on a single charge in our own testing. This Spectre proves that a Windows 10 laptop can actually compete with the battery life of Chromebooks and MacBooks.

I'll leave the decision up to you — whether the touchpad and screen benefits on the Spectre x360 14 are worth the extra cash. Either way, you can't go wrong. Having said that, you should consider other capable laptops in this category as well, like Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 and Lenovo Yoga 9i, before spending your hard-earned money.

Expectedly, the performance increase was exponential, as the Core i7-1165G7 offers improvements both in computational and graphics power. And for a machine that is a bit larger than a Kindle, this is impressive. Especially the fact, that the notebook complies with the Evo platform, which traditionally enables more balanced performance.

The HP Spectre x360 is an overall well-performing Windows machine. It is small and lightweight, the build is premium and sturdy, the performance fast and non-glitchy and the battery life long. The audio output on speakers is not loud for a room and if this matters, you could always use the 3.5mm headphone jack or Bluetooth for audio. People looking to shell out over Rs 1 lakh on a lightweight and premium-looking Windows laptop for mostly work purposes would find this convertible a sound investment.

The HP Spectre x360 is one of the best small convertible laptops available in 2021. It lacks features seen in alternatives, like 5G and a slot-in stylus, but it does offer excellent build quality, a keyboard you'll love working on, long battery life and a relatively high contrast screen.

This year’s HP Spectre x360 packs an even bigger punch thanks to the inclusion of Intel’s 11th-gen CPUs. It’s also tailored, due to meeting specific requirements of Intel’s for that Evo certification, to make the next ‘evolutionary’ jump in laptop design. What you end up with is svelte, light, and very portable. The Spectre is a premium and beautiful laptop.

All in all, this is one of the better looking Tiger Lake laptops on the market, with very solid all-around performance to boot. If you're content with a 16:9 display aspect ratio, the 2021 Spectre X360 13 should be on your short list of candidates.

This is one of the best convertible laptops money can buy. It's the one to get if you value a high-quality keyboard and a small-footprint design that fits into smaller bags easily.

The HP Spectre x360, HP’s flagship, is back and better than ever. Last year’s model of the HP Spectre x360 may have been one of the best laptops we’ve come across, marrying style and portability with fantastic performance, but this 2021 raises the stakes even more with that much-coveted Intel Evo certification.

The 11th-Gen Intel Core i7 breathes performance in the spectacular-looking HP Spectre x360 convertible laptop, making it a near-perfect thin-and-light notebook. Near-perfect because there are thermal issues which hamper the laptop’s on-the-go utility. The laptop also lacks a discrete GPU, which limits its usage to everyday tasks. But it should be noted that there is no other laptop this light that also packs in a discrete GPU. Priced at Rs 129,999, the HP Spectre x360 is a premium convertible laptop good for everyday use. It, however, is not the only capable laptop in its segment. The Asus ZenBook Flip S UX371 (review) and Dell XPS 13 are the two other 11th-Gen Intel Core processor-powered options you might like to check before finalising your pick.

The HP Spectre x360 (2021) presents a brilliant update on an already excellent laptop, bringing the latest Intel hardware to a stunningly designed 2-in-1 device. It can get a bit loud, and it's expensive – but it looks beautiful, and offers brilliant battery life as well.

A screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio is better than a 3:2 display for one thing—watching videos—so if you're a streaming junkie, you'll find the Spectre x360 13 an excellent convertible choice. It's also a good pick if your budget's tight, with a capable base model priced under $1,000 and our well-equipped test unit coming in $440 under the Editors' Choice-award-winning Spectre x360 14 (though, to justify the premium, that laptop had a higher-resolution OLED display and twice the storage). Otherwise, the productivity boost of the squarer screen tips the scale to the slightly larger Spectre.
