70% HP OmniBook X Review: Don’t Get Fooled by Its Basic Design
Quelle: NDTV Gadgets Englisch EN→DE
If you're looking for a non-flashy work laptop with great battery life, lightweight design, good keyboard, and Windows, then the HP OmniBook X is an excellent choice. It has a few drawbacks, but it's not enough to not recommend this. The display may not be as good as the competition, but the LCD panel does have its advantages. Don't let the simple design fool you, the HP OmniBook X is a well-built Windows ultrabook that's great for productivity and some creativity. The alternative is the Dell XPS 13 (9345) (Review), which, while it costs the same, doesn't offer the best typing experience or similar battery life. However, if you compare it with the Asus VivoBook S15 OLED (Review), then the Asus comes out on top.

80% HP OmniBook X Review: My favourite Snapdragon X PC
Quelle: Mobile Syrup Englisch EN→DE
The HP OmniBook X looks pricey at $1,599.99, but that puts it in the middle of the Copilot Plus PC pack, coming in cheaper than options from Dell, Samsung and Microsoft and in the same ballpark as options from Acer, Asus and Lenovo. It’s also a bit cheaper than a comparable M3 MacBook Air. With that in mind, I think the OmniBook X is decently priced for what it offers. Sure, you might be able to get a better display or a nicer design by paying an extra $200-$300 for an option from another manufacturer, but I don’t think either of those are particularly necessary. The OmniBook X offers overall solid performance and battery life, and top-notch typing experience and a tried-and-true clamshell design, making it a great all-around option. The laptop starts at $1,599.99 at HP, Amazon and Best Buy.

The HP Omnibook X is a really good laptop in terms of design, build quality, keyboard, battery life and even the webcam. However, the display could have been a bit better. The future is promising for these laptops, and with native support increasing by the day, this laptop can be a game changer for students and professionals who are always on the move and would like to keep their laptops far from the plug as much as possible.

80% HP OmniBook X 14 Review: Meet the Latest Copilot Plus PC Battery Life Champ
Quelle: CNet Englisch EN→DE
The OmniBook X 14 offers a minimal amount of ports, but you do get both USB-C and USB-A ports so you won't need to carry around an adapter. They are clearly labeled, but you'll need to make sure you're using the faster USB-C port for data transfers -- one offers 40Gbps speed, and the other is only 10Gbps. The OmniBook also supports the latest wireless standards -- Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The OmniBook X 14 takes the battery life crown and represents another strong foot forward for Copilot Plus PCs.

60% HP OmniBook X Review: Premium design with top battery life, but the display holds it back
Quelle: The Times of India Englisch EN→DE
For the price, I can't recommend the HP OmniBook 14, primarily because of its screen. I can live with the speakers, but if I can't enjoy the outstanding battery life and work remotely, there's no point. I hope HP brings an OLED display that is much brighter, and also packs a higher refresh rate with the next iteration of this laptop. Also, with Intel's Lunar Lake-powered laptops on the horizon, you may find something better suited to your needs. If you're specifically looking for an ARM-based computer, particularly a Snapdragon-powered one, there are better options available for much less. I'd only get the HP OmniBook if you are smitten by its well-rounded design, which feels premium, and its battery life, assuming you use the laptop mostly indoors.

70% HP OmniBook X review: An excellent ultrabook compromised by a silly mistake
Quelle: Laptop Mag Englisch EN→DE
That dim display is tough to forgive, but HP really killed the OmniBook X’s chances with that dismal SSD. At the right price, it is worth considering thanks to its great performance, splendidly long battery life, and clicky keyboard, but there are far too many excellent options for around $1,000. If you want something long-lasting and powerful, try the Acer Swift 14 AI. It trades a clicky keyboard for a silky touchpad, and while the color in the display isn’t as good, it’s considerably brighter. Overall, the HP OmniBook X is a decent notebook, but that slow SSD will kill you in the long haul. You’re probably better off getting something else.

80% HP OmniBook X 14 review: Incredible battery life meets Copilot+ AI
Quelle: It Pro Englisch EN→DE
Yes. While it doesn't perform quite as well as the Asus VivoBook S15, it's a slimmer, lighter laptop with incredible battery life. It's also fantastic value when you compare it to other laptops with a similar form factor, including the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 and MacBook Air. The one thing that really goes against it is the underwhelming screen, but while it doesn't go as bright as we would like it to, the resolution and color reproduction aren't a serious concern. It might be an OLED panel short of greatness, but the OmniBook X 14 is an excellent buy.

The HP OmniBook X 14 is a solid choice for remote workers, digital nomads, and professionals who need a powerful laptop with a marathon battery. I would also recommend this laptop to those who are actively engaged with AI-related tasks and all in with its future applications. If you're looking for a Copilot+ PC with a better display, you might want to check out the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x. If you're looking for an HP laptop with an Intel chip, take a look at the HP Envy x360 2-in-1.

What the HP OmniBook X lacks in style it more than makes up in substance thanks to its fast performance and exceptional battery life. Though an OLED option would’ve been nice, its 14-inch display delivers sharp and clear images, while its touchscreen gives you added versatility for work. This Snapdragon X Elite laptop gives Apple’s MacBook Air M3 a run for its money.

Quelle: PC World Englisch EN→DE
The HP Omnibook X is a fine laptop, offering respectable performance and excellent battery life. It’s built reasonably well and looks nice enough, but it just feels like there are too many areas where it’s falling short for a laptop that costs over $1,000. The display is one of its biggest weaknesses and a poor choice to put on such an expensive laptop. It only seems to offer a modest bump in sharpness and a touchscreen to set itself apart from the display on some much cheaper laptops. The keyboard is fine, but could certainly be better.

If you truly worship at the altar of battery life, then maybe the OmniBook is fine. But there’s no reason to pay a thousand dollars of your own money for this screen, those speakers, or that trackpad. Maybe you can use the OmniBook X for 15 hours straight, but for around the same price, you can get something like the Surface Laptop, with a much better trackpad, screen, and speakers — even if you do have to plug it in a little sooner.

Quelle: The Indian Express Englisch EN→DE
I still remember when I was live blogging during a launch event, and my notebook’s battery died in the middle of it. It was embarrassing, and that incident made me switch to the M-series MacBook Air. Since then, I’ve tried to return to Intel-powered laptops but haven’t been able to due to persistent and increasingly complex issues. However, using the HP Omnibook X Copilot Plus PC —with its Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite instead of an Intel chip and its specs meeting the Copilot Plus standard—has been refreshing.

We've covered the Snapdragon, Arm, and Copilot angles extensively by now, with varying degrees of enthusiasm in our conclusions, so let's focus on the HP OmniBook X 14 itself. All Copilot+ PCs will have shared traits, but we like what this HP brings to the table. The design isn't the most exciting, but it's hard not to be impressed at its performance, portability, battery life, and better-than-1080p display, especially at its current sale price. The OmniBook is still not the very best bargain around; the Editors' Choice award-winning Asus Zenbook 14 OLED Touch (UM3406) is a lovely deal (as are many of Asus’ other Zenbooks, like the Q425 mentioned above), and we don't think the Copilot+ PC feature set is a must-have as of today. But if you're itching to join the first generation of AI PCs, and keen to try out Windows on Arm in its latest iteration, the OmniBook X 14 is a great way to go.

Quelle: Tom's Guide Englisch EN→DE
The HP OmniBook X makes a strong case for Snapdragon X Elite laptops thanks to its fast performance and exceptional battery life. Like the other Copilot+ PCs packing Qualcomm’s processor, the OmniBook X can hold its own against the MacBook Air with its M3 chip. And like Apple’s ultraportable laptop, the OmniBook X is light and thin enough to comfortably take everywhere. In that sense, it can be seen as the MacBook Air of Windows notebooks. While I’d recommend the OmniBook X to anyone interested in a reliable Windows laptop, it’s not a perfect device. The screen is middling, there are no OLED configurations and the advertised AI capabilities of the machine are curiosities at best or downright useless at worst.

90% HP OmniBook X review: This Copilot+ PC has MacBook-destroying battery life
Quelle: Mashable Englisch EN→DE
The HP OmniBook X is my first experience with a Snapdragon X Elite-based Copilot+ PC machine – and I'm impressed. Qualcomm wasn't wrong. Its processor does, indeed, beat the M3 MacBooks. Plus, it lasts over 16 hours on a charge, a feat that was completely unheard of for Windows laptops in recent times. And finally, the Copilot+ PC aspect makes Windows fun again. Do you remember when Windows was a total blast? As a kid, when I'd lose interest in browsing the internet, I'd fall back on pre-installed games like Solitaire, Minesweeper, or 3D Pinball. With the new AI-powered features, you don't need Google Chrome, or whatever browser you use, to enjoy your laptop. You can simply fire up Paint or the Photos app. It'll keep your entertained for hours. The HP OmniBook X is the best Windows laptop I've tested this year. It's fun, fast, and fierce.

70% HP OmniBook X review: a new breed of Windows laptop
Quelle: Digital Trends Englisch EN→DE
Windows laptops are undergoing perhaps the most significant transformation in their history, largely spurred by Apple’s successful transition from Intel chips to its Apple Silicon Arm architecture that’s afforded both fast performance and industry-leading efficiency. Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC is named for new AI features, but it’s rolling out first on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite Arm chipset that promises to challenge Apple in both performance and battery life. At the same time, HP has rebranded its laptops as the OmniBook, replacing the Pavilion, Envy, and Spectre brands. The OmniBook X is HP’s first Copilot+ laptop and its current Windows on Arm machine based on the Snapdragon X Elite.

HP OmniBook X hands-on review: This Snapdragon X Elite laptop puts MacBooks on notice
Quelle: Tom's Guide Englisch EN→DE
The new HP OmniBook X signifies a monumental change for the company’s consumer laptops. Moving forward, OmniBook will slowly replace brands like Envy, Pavilion and Spectre to simplify purchasing an HP notebook. Each consumer device name will now include a number ranging from 3, 5, 7 and X — with 3 and X being the most affordable and high-end options (respectively). Some of the new OmniBooks will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chip and feature the new HP AI Helix logo to denote them as AI laptops. At an HP briefing, I briefly went hands-on with the HP OmniBook X. I was impressed by its lightweight design and sturdy aluminum chassis. The 14-inch 2.2K touchscreen is quite nice and I appreciate the inclusion of a USB-A port for legacy devices. I’m also intrigued by the performance and efficiency gains the Snapdragon X Elite chip promises.

The HP OmniBook X AI PC is the product of a concentrated effort to better consolidate brands into two major camps. Coupled with a host of new AI features and tools, and Qualcomm chips with an excellent battery life, this system represents a major brand shift within the company. The design is thin and lightweight, attractive for those looking for a productivity machine. Unfortunately, I couldn't try out the AI, which is a huge sticking point for this laptop.
