Die GeForce GTX 470 ist eine High-End Desktop-Grafikkarte der Fermi Generation. Sie basiert auf den GF100 Chip welcher in 40 nm bei TSMC hergestellt wird. Von den 512 CUDA Cores des Chips sind bei der GTX470 nur 448 verfügbar. Das mobile Pendant der GTX 470, ist die GeForce GTX 470M, welche jedoch nur 288 Shader bei geringerem Takt aufweist und dadurch deutlich langsamer ist.

Die Leistung reicht nicht ganz um auch sehr anspruchsvolle Spiele in maximalen Details mit Full HD Auflösung und Kantenglättung flüssig zu spielen. Z.B. war bei uns bei Witcher 2, Far Cry 3, Metro 2033 die höchste Einstellungsstufe nicht wirklich spielbar. Battlefield 3 erreicht noch knapp 30 FPS, womit es in hitzigen Multiplayergefechten auch knapp werden könnte.

Die GeForce GTX 480 ist eine High-End Desktop-Grafikkarte der Fermi Generation. Sie basiert auf den GF100 Chip welcher in 40 nm bei TSMC hergestellt wird. Von den 512 CUDA Cores des Chips sind bei der GTX480 genau 480 verfügbar. Das mobile Pendant der GTX 480, ist die GeForce GTX 480M, welche jedoch nur 352 Shader bei geringerem Takt aufweist und dadurch deutlich langsamer ist.
