Standardmäßig bietet Fujitsu bei diesem Ultrabook eine 24-Monate-Garantie, die sich aber auf einen 5-Jahre-Bring-In-Service für preisgünstige 65 Euro erweitern lässt. Die 5-jährige Garantie für den Vor-Ort-Service schlägt allerdings mit 290,60 Euro zu Buche.

In the end, I can conclude that the Fujitsu Lifebook U772 is a good ultrabook, definitely one of the best in terms of features and possibly one of the best overall. It’s beautiful, sturdy, packs a decent keyboard, trackpad and screen. Besides those, potential buyers can choose between different configurations, based on their needs and can pick some features they can’t find on other ultrabooks, like an integrated Cellular module and a matching docking unit.

The Fujitsu U772 has an elegant design, solid build quality, excellent overall performance and plenty of ports. I'm impressed by the business-friendly features such as the fingerprint reader and Intel vPro support. The U772's usability however is crippled by the horrid keyboard design and low quality display. The keyboard is legitimately difficult to use; there is just not enough key travel to provide meaningful tactile feedback (my Blackberry has more travel) and the space bar registers about 60% of the time. The screen resolution is not sufficient for productivity; 1366x768 is too little space to view two windows side-by-side. It's a more than frustrating setup.

The $1,149 Fujitsu LifeBook U772 Ultrabook combines solid speed, long battery life and security in a lightweight and durable design. However, we wish the keyboard offered more travel and that the touchpad wasn't so stiff in the middle. For the money, we prefer the ASUS Zenbook UX31A with its full HD display, backlit keyboard and excellent audio for $1,079. Those looking for a business partner, though, may find the U772 better suited to their needs.
