Das Fairphone 3 ist ein Smartphone, das angeblich mit Rücksicht auf Mensch und Planet hergestellt wurde. Es bietet alles, was Benutzer von einem großartigen Handy erwarten, und vieles mehr. Zudem ist Fairphone ist eines der ersten Smartphone-Unternehmen, das Fairtrade-Gold in unsere Lieferkette einbindet. Bei der Reparaturfähigkeit punktet es voll. Ein Missgeschick ist nicht das Ende des Fairphone 3. Die Lebensdauer des Phones kann dank austauschbarer Module verlängert werden und User können das Phone selbst mit nur einem Schraubendreher reparieren. Sogar iFixit hat dem Fairphone 3 für seine Reparaturfähigkeit alle Punkte gegeben. Für zusätzliche Sicherheit bieten Fairphone-3-Telefone eine Garantie von 2 Jahren. Mit einer 12-MP-Kamera an der Rückseite und einer 8-MP-Frontkamera können User detailgetreue Erinnerungen aufnehmen. In Kombination mit großartige Hardware und Software sind auch bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen qualitativ hochwertige Fotos garantiert. Das Fairphone 3 nutzt ein 5,65 Zoll großes Display mit Full-HD+-Auflösung und einem Seitenverhältnis von 18:9. Dieses bietet eine Auflösung von 2.160 x 1.080 Pixeln, eine Pixeldichte von 427 ppi und 16 Millionen Farben. Gorilla Glass 5 schützt es vor Kratzern. Im Inneren arbeiten ein Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 Prozessor der Mittelklasse, 4 GB RAM und 64 GB interner Speicher (erweiterbar über microSD). Damit laufen die meisten Apps und Spiele problemlos. Ein 3.000-mAh-Akku versorgt das Smartphone mit Strom. Dieser hält im Leerlauf 300 Stunden und bei Telefonie 20 Stunden durch. Die Ladezeit beträgt 3,5 Stunden. Zudem ist der Akku austauschbar, was wir heutzutage bei Smartphones nicht oft sehen. Verschlechtert sich der Akku, kann der Benutzer nur den Akku anstatt des gesamten Phones austauschen. Darüber hinaus ist eine 3,5-mm-Kopfhörerbuchse vorhanden, die heutzutage weniger verbreitet ist. Insgesamt nimmt das Fairphone 3 Gerechtigkeit wichtig. Einige der besten Aspekte sind für User nicht sichtbar, etwa fair beschaffene und recycelte Materialien, bessere Arbeitsbedingungen und Programme zur Reduzierung von Elektroschrott.
