The Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 is a solid choice if you’re looking for a speedy notebook that’s reasonably light-weight, and which can also occasionally be used in tent or tablet mode. But before plunking down $750 or more to buy this particular model, you should keep in mind that it gets kind of lousy battery life, has a non-removable battery has a somewhat noisy fan, and is a little too big and heavy to use as a handheld tablet for an extender period of time.

This machine is an ideal notebook for students who need to bang out papers and general users who want a fast, compact notebook to tote around. If battery life and weight are your primary concerns, though, you'd be better off with HP's Spectre x360. But if those aren't major priorities, you could do a lot worse than Dell's special edition Inspiron.

The build quality, software experience, and overall design leave little to gripe about. The Inspiron 13 7000 SE looks and feels like a premium machine, through and through. The only major drawbacks come as a direct result of this machine being so powerful. Excess heat and fan noise to an extent, will be unavoidable, so those favoring an ultra-quiet device will need to look elsewhere.

While it can sometimes get a little too hot for comfort, the Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Special Edition is a powerful and stylish hybrid. The $1,000 Core i7 configuration we tested is faster than most systems in its class. Overall, we prefer the HP Spectre x360 for its longer battery life and lighter all-aluminum design, but the Inspiron 13 Special Edition deftly balances price and performance, with some seriously sharp looks.

Modell: Das Dell Inspiron 13-7348 Convertible ist ein sehr vielseitiges Gerät. Es hat einen schwarzen Bildschirmdeckel und einen Aluminium-Körper mit Handballenablage aus Kunststoff an der Innenseite. Sein Aussehen ist typsich für Dell und es wiegt zirka 1,67 kg. Das Convertible nutzt einen glänzenden IPS-Bildschirm von Samsung mit einer Diagonale von 13,3 Zoll, einer Auflösung von 1920 x 1080 Pixeln und Touchscreen-Funktionalität. Als Grafikkarte wird die im Prozessor integrierte Intel HD Graphics 5500 verwendet.

Das Inspiron-13-7348 verfügt entweder über einen Core i5 mit 8  GB RAM und einer 500GB HDD oder Core i7 mit einer Taktrate von 2,4 GHz (max. Turbo-Takt: 3 GHz) mit 8 GB RAM und 256 GB HDD. Die Lautsprecher befinden sich an der Unterseite des Laptops anstatt an den Seiten und werden durch eine Intel Broadwell Soundkarte angetrieben. Zudem ist das Convertible mit einem USB-2.0-Port, zwei USB-3.0-Ports, einen HDMI-Port, einen Kensington-Lock für Sicherheit, eine normale 3,5 mm Stereobuchse mit Mikrofon und einen SD-Kartenslot ausgestattet. Der 43 Wh Lithium-Ionen-Akku sorgt für eine geschätzte Laufzeit von 6,5 Stunden. Zudem bietet der Laptop eine 1,3 MP Webcam oberhalb des Bildschirms und eine Tastatur mit Hintergrundlicht.

Intel HD Graphics 5500: Integrierte Grafikkarte (GT2), welche in einigen Broadwell-ULV-CPUs (15 Watt TDP) verbaut wird.

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.
