Dell Chromebook 11
Chromebooks, also Notebooks, die Chrome OS mit Could-Speicher verwenden, fassen unter ihren Fans Fuß. Dell hat das erkannt und offeriert Chrome-OS-Fans mit dem Dell Chromebook 11 eine Option. Wie der Name impliziert, handelt es sich um ein einfaches und unkompliziertes Gerät mit einem 11,6 Zoll großen Bildschirm mit einer Auflösung von 1366 x 768 Pixeln. Der Bildschirm reicht für Alltagsaufgaben von Laien, jedoch nicht für höhere grafische Ansprüche von etwa Gamern, die grafiklastige Spiele lieben und Photographen, die eine höhe Auflösung für das korrekte Darstellen ihrer Bilder benötigen. At the end of the day, the Dell Chromebook 11 i3 is an excellent choice for students as well as shoppers looking for a long-lasting, inexpensive laptop. It can handle as many apps as you can throw at it thanks to its Core i3 processor and 4GB of RAM, and the battery lasts all day with juice to spare. The keyboard is also one of the best we've used on any laptop, let alone a Chromebook.

Dell Chromebook 11-3189
Das Dell Chromebook 11-3189 ist für den Einsatz im Bildungssektor konzipiert und vermarktet. Es unterstützt “Google for Education”-Administration und Funktionen, die eine Vielzahl an Tools enthalten, mit denen Lehrer und Schul-/Bezirks-Technologie-Administratoren effizienter mit Schülern interagieren, die Systemnutzung beobachten, und die Lernfortschritte verfolgen können. Google Classroom bietet mehrere Möglichkeiten für die Kommunikation und Zusammenarbeit von Lehrern und Schülern. Dieses Chromebook wurde widerstandsfähig entworfen, um die typische Nutzung eines Grundschülers zu überstehen, egal, in welchem Modus es benutzt wird. Selbst wenn Schüler diese Chromebooks nie in der Tasche verstauen und sie nur im Klassenraum benutzen, können diese Geräte die unvermeidlichen Stürze, Stöße und grobe Behandlung im Klassenzimmer bewältigen. Die Computer wurden nach MIL-STD-810G-Standards getestet, z.B. für Schock- und Vibrationsfestigkeit. Alle Kanten, einschließlich der Fassung um das Display, sind mit einem Gummi-Stoßschutz überzogen, der das Chromebook 3189 2-in-1 vor versehentlichen Stößen und Stürzen aus geringer Höhe schützt. Dank des Scharniers kann man das Display ganz nach hinten umdrehen, und somit das Gerät im Laptop-, Tablet-, Zelt-, oder Stand-Modus benutzen. Im Inneren ist das Dell Chromebook 11-3189 mit einem sehr bescheidenen 1.6 GHz Intel Celeron N3060 zweikern Prozessor mit 4 GB Arbeitsspeicher ausgerüstet. Der Bildschirm ist ein 11,6-Zoll-IPS-Touchscreen mit einer nativen Auflösung von 1366 x 768. Der lokale Speicher wird von einer 32-GB-eMMC-Festplatte bereitgestellt. Das ist kaum ausreichend Speicherplatz. Allerdings bietet Googles "G Suite for Education" Tonnen an Cloud-Speicherplatz ohne zusätzliche Kosten.
Das Dell Chromebook 3189 ist etwas klobbiger und schwerer als man es von einem 11-Zoll-Chromebook erwartet. Es mißt 2 cm in die Höhe, hat eine Fläche von 30,5 x 20,8 cm, und wiegt 1,45 kg. Glücklicherweise ist das extra Gewicht mit zusätzlicher Stabilität und Schutz gepaart. Der Deckel ist mit einem glänzenden, kratzfesten Belag überzogen. Die oberen Ecken sind mit einem Chrome-Logo auf der linken und einem kleinem LED-Streifen auf der rechten Seite geschmückt. Letzteres ist die Dell Activity Light, ein Signal das Schüler auf dem Bildschirm aktivieren können, wenn sie bereit sind, Fragen haben, oder Aufmerksamkeit brauchen. Gegenüber dem Display ist eine Tastatur in normaler Größe mit Chiclet-artigen Tasten, genau darunter befindet sich ein breites Touchpad. Die Tasten sowie das Touchpad sind von innen abgedichtet, um das Gerät zusätzlich vor Flüssigkeiten zu schützen. Bezüglich der Konnektivität bietet das Chromebook zwei USB-3.1-Typ-A-Anschlüsse erster Generation, eine HDMI-Schnittstelle, einen Micro-SD-Kartenleser, eine Buchse für Kopfhörer/Mikrofon, und einen Anschluss für den 65-Watt-Netzadapter. Für drahtlose Verbindungen stehen 802.11-ac-Wi-Fi und Bluetooth 4.2 zur Verfügung. Das Chromebook 11 ist wahrscheinlich das perfekte Notebook für Schulen und jüngere Schüler. Es bietet alle Grundfunktionen für einen sehr angemessenen Preis.

Priced from $239 (£179), the Dell Chromebook 11 offers a durable solution, its spill-resistant keyboard, and rugged design add value to the device and should ensure its ability to survive receiving an education. It doesn’t boast the stylish design and outlandishly high-specs of Google’s Pixel Book, but that’s ok because the 3180 is aimed at students, education facilities, and possibly people like myself who are a little accident prone. With a decent amount of ports including 2 x USB ports, a full-sized HDMI socket, and an audio jack, the only thing missing is an ethernet port, and while I wish it had a better quality display, it’s plenty good enough for what it needs to do.

Some schools and parents swear by the Apple iPad, but Chromebooks have tons of appeal as go-to tech tools for school-age children thanks to significant buy-in from charitable foundations and school districts. Many of them gravitate toward specialized devices like the Dell Chromebook 11 (model 3100; $239 as tested). This inexpensive, rugged, no-frills laptop with an 11.6-inch screen is nearly everything a kids' computer should be. Aside from some Wi-Fi issues we experienced in testing, it's the best Chromebook you can buy for your youngsters without upending your budget.

Dell: Dell ist ein 1984 gegründeter US-amerikanischer Hersteller (Sitz Texas) von Computer-Hardware und gehört zu den grössten internationalen Herstellern sowohl in Bezug auf Marktanteile als auch hinsichtlich Notebook-Modellen. Die Produktpalette umfasst unter anderem Desktops, Notebooks, Speichersysteme, Monitore, Server, Drucker, Unterhaltungselektronik und Peripheriegeräte. Dell bietet Laptops an, die ich für verschiedene Einsatzbereiche eignen, z. B. Business-Laptops, Gaming-Laptops, Ultra-Portables und Workstations. Die Business-Notebooks von Dell aus den Latitude- und Precision-Serien sind eine Option für professionelle Anwender und Unternehmen.
2023 hatte Dell einen ungefähren Marktanteil von 17% am weltweiten PC-Absatz und war damit die Nummer 3 nach Lenovo und HP.
Für Gaming-Enthusiasten ist die Marke Alienware von Dell für Gaming-Notebooks vorgesehen.
Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen. Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.
Intel HD Graphics (Haswell): In den mobilen Pentium und Celeron Prozessoren (Haswell) von Intel integrierte Grafikkarte. Die HD Graphics ist die schwächere, auch GT1 genannte, Variante mit weniger Execution Units (EUs).
Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail): Grafikeinheit in den Tablet- und Notebook-SoCs der Bay-Trail-Serie. Basiert auf der Ivy-Bridge-GPU, unterstützt DirectX 11 und bietet 4 EUs.
Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.
Intel HD Graphics (Broadwell): Integrierte Grafikkarte (GT1), welche in einigen Broadwell-CPUs verbaut wird.
Intel HD Graphics 5500: Integrierte Grafikkarte (GT2), welche in einigen Broadwell-ULV-CPUs (15 Watt TDP) verbaut wird.
Intel HD Graphics 400 (Braswell): Grafikeinheit in den SoCs der Intel-Braswell-Serie. Basiert auf der Broadwell-GPU (Intel Gen8), unterstützt DirectX 11.2 und bietet je nach Modell 12 EUs bei unterschiedlichen Taktraten. Anfangs nur Intel HD Graphics benannt, später als Intel HD Graphics 400 bezeichnet.
Intel HD Graphics 500: Integrierte Low-End-Grafikkarte mit DirectX-12-Unterstützung, welche in einigen ULV-SoCs der Apollo-Lake-Serie zu finden ist.
Intel UHD Graphics 600: Integrierte Low-End-Grafikkarte mit DirectX-12-Unterstützung, welche in einigen ULV-SoCs der Gemini-Lake-Serie zu finden ist.
Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
Intel HD Graphics 520: Integrierte Grafikkarte (GT2), welche in einigen Skylake-CPUs (ULV-Modelle, 15 Watt TDP) verbaut wird.

N2840: Sparsamer Dual-Core-SoC auf Basis der Atom-Architektur "Silvermont" für kompakte und preiswerte Einstiegsnotebooks. Taktet mit bis zu 2,58 GHz und integriert eine DirectX-11-fähige Grafikeinheit.
3205U: Auf der Broadwell-Architektur basierender ULV Dual-Core Prozessor mit integrierter Grafikkarte und DDR3-Speicherkontroller.
N3060: Sparsamer Dual-Core-SoC auf Basis der Atom-Architektur "Airmont" für preiswerte Notebooks. Taktet mit 1,6 bis 2,48 GHz und integriert eine DirectX-11.2-fähige Grafikeinheit.
Celeron N3450: Sparsamer Quad-Core-SoC aus der Apollo-Lake-Serie für preiswerte Notebooks. Taktet mit 1,1 bis 2,2 GHz und integriert eine DirectX-12-fähige Grafikeinheit. Im Vergleich zu früheren Atom-Generation wurde die Pro-MHz-Leistung der CPU-Architektur signifikant gesteigert und ebenso die Grafikeinheit verbessert.
Intel Core i5:
5300U: Auf der Broadwell-Architektur basierender, sparsamer ULV-Prozessor für kompakte Notebooks und Ultrabooks. Integriert unter anderem zwei CPU-Kerne sowie eine Grafikeinheit und wird in 14-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt.
Intel Core i3:
5005U: Auf der Broadwell-Architektur basierender, sparsamer ULV-Prozessor für kompakte Notebooks und Ultrabooks. Integriert unter anderem zwei CPU-Kerne sowie eine Grafikeinheit und wird in 14-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt.
6006U: Auf der Skylake-Architektur basierender ULV-SoC (System-on-a-Chip) für schlanke Notebooks und Ultrabooks. Integriert unter anderem zwei CPU-Kerne sowie eine Grafikeinheit und wird in 14-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt. Taktet maximal mit 2 GHz und unterstützt keinen Turbo Boost.
Intel Gemini Lake:

77.29%: Weltbewegend ist diese Bewertung nicht. Diese Bewertung muss man eigentlich als unterdurchschnittlich ansehen, denn es gibt etwa ebenso mehr Geräte mit schlechtere Beurteilungen als Besseren. Eine Kaufempfehlung kann man nur mit viel Wohlwollen darin sehen, es sei denn es handelt sich um Websites, die generell streng urteilen.
