To help somewhat combat its unique positioning Asus did angle the bottom part of the laptop, which also helps with airflow. Nonetheless, the Zenbook’s dual-screen approach is less ideal than side-by-side monitors but we do applaud Asus trying something new. For what it’s worth, we like this approach better than Asus’ standard Screenpad.

Asus ZenBook Pro Duo UX581GV-H2002T
Das Asus ZenBook Pro Duo UX581 und das Asus ZenBook Pro Duo UX481 sind für mich interessante Serien. Grund dafür ist, dass sie einen zweiten Bildschirm bieten. Das mag nach MacBook-Modell mit Touchbar klingen, doch hier sprechen wir nicht von einer einfachen Streifenleiste, sondern von einem richtigen zweiten Bildschirm. Dieses Modell verfügt über einen zusätzlichen 14 Zoll Bildschirm. Innovation ist gut, aber wie sieht es mit Usability aus? Dies ist die erste Frage, die mir in den Sinn kommt. Ich denke, für Business-Laptops ist es einigermaßen sinnvoll, beispielsweise, wenn Sie unterwegs an einem Bericht arbeiten und zusätzliche Informationen aus verschiedenen Dateien benötigen. Öffne sie diese einfach auf dem zweiten Bildschirm! Für einen Gaming-Laptop? Bei stationärem Betrieb sehe ich keinen wahren Wert. Da dieses Modell mit RTX 2060 ausgestattet ist, werden Sie es beim Spielen höchstwahrscheinlich die ganze Zeit über an einer Steckdose anschließen. Ob ein zweiter integrierter Bildschirm besser als ein externer Monitor ist, kann diskutiert werden. Ich würde Letzteren nicht nur wegen der Bequemlichkeit, sondern auch vom Preis her vorziehen. ZenBook Pro Duo-Modelle verfügen über eine Vielzahl von Konfigurationen mit unterschiedlichen Optionen. Sie sind aber nicht billig. Dieses Modell kostet zum Beispiel mehr als 3.000 USD. Wenn man bedenkt, dass normale Laptops (außer Macbooks in diesem Fall) an Wert verlieren, ist es sehr wahrscheinlich, dass dieses Modell im nächsten Jahr mindestens 20 % weniger Wert ist. Für 600 USD können Sie einen großartigen Monitor kaufen. Ich kann das Konzept nicht kritisieren, weil es etwas Neues ist. Vielleicht wird es eine limitierte Auflage. Ansonsten kann die Hardware wirklich nicht in Frage gestellt werden, da sie durchweg erstklassig ist. RTX-GPU, neuester Prozessor der 9. Generation, Thunderbolt, WiFi 6. Die Frage ist, wie viel diese Komponenten ohne den zweiten integrierten Monitor kosten würden? Die Antwort gibt der Markt. Von den unlängst von mir getesteten Notebooks her, würde ich sagen zwischen 2.000 und 2.500 USD sagen. Der Zusatz-Monitor ist also nicht billig. Es gibt noch einen anderen Aspekt, nämlich Gewicht. Das Asus ZenBook Pro Duo UX581GV-H2002T wiegt etwa 2,5 kg. Ich glaube, ohne Zusatz-Monitor wären es nahe bei 2 kg. Es fällt mir schwer, eine Empfehlung abzugeben. Es kann so oder anders sein. Für mich hat der zweite Bildschirm kaum eine Verwendung und liegt nicht meinem Blick. Ich muss mich genau hinwenden, damit ich sehe, was auf dem zweiten Bildschirm vor sich geht. Außerdem würde es mich ablenken, wenn sich am zweiten Bildschirm etwas tut, während ich am ersten Bildschirm arbeite. Natürlich kann der zweite Bildschirm deaktiviert werden, doch dann handelt es sich um einen teuren deaktivierten Bildschirm. Es ist so, wie Sie es betrachten. Now, there are a few things I hope ASUS would improve in the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo. Cooling, would be my main concern. The current setup is astonishingly quiet even under heavy loads, but unfortunately the temperatures are a bit too high. The current layout also means less available space on the sides for ports. While the current setup offers fast USB 3.1 ports, more ports for stuff like peripherals would be welcome.

This may or may not be the future of laptops, but for creatives, multi-taskers, and the attentionally challenged, the second display quickly makes a case for itself. The question is how much you're willing to compromise to get it, with rubbish battery life and a giant chassis. This isn't perfect, and future dual-screen devices will find better ways to make the form factor work. But this is one hell of a first attempt.

Diese Grafikkarten sollten alle modernen Spiele flüssig darstellen können. Anspruchsvolle Spiele müssen jedoch in mittlerer Detailstufe gespielt werden. Ältere und weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele wie die Sims Serie können auch in hohen Detailsstufen flüssig dargestellt werden.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Mobile: Mid-Range Notebook-Grafikkarte mit 6 GDDR6-Grafikspeicher (192 Bit) und nach der offiziellen Vorstellung die drittschnellste mobile Turing-GPU. Verfügt über 1.920 Shadereinheiten und verglichen zu der Desktop-Variante mit verringerten Taktraten.

Intel Coffee Lake:
i9-9980HK: Auf der Coffee-Lake-Architektur basierender SoC (System-on-a-Chip) für große Notebooks. Integriert unter anderem acht CPU-Kerne mit 2,4 - 5 GHz (4,2 GHz bei 8 Kernen) und HyperThreading sowie eine Grafikeinheit und wird in 14-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt. Dank freiem Multiplikator ist ein Übertakten der CPU möglich. Die 5 GHz werden nur mit Thermal Velocity Boost erreicht, sonst ist der maximale Turbo 4,9 GHz.
i7-9750H: Auf der Coffee-Lake-Architektur basierender SoC (System-on-a-Chip) für große Notebooks. Integriert unter anderem sechs CPU-Kerne mit 2,6 - 4,5 GHz (4 GHz bei allen 6 Kernen) und HyperThreading sowie eine Grafikeinheit und wird in 14-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt.
