Personally, I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more OLED laptops. Maybe not over-the-top ones like the ZenBook Flip S OLED, but more like the ZenBook 13 OLED. Maybe strike a good middle ground with a 2K OLED panel, and I think you’ll have a banger of a laptop. Though, if I’m being honest, if Asus can sort out the Flip S OLED’s performance issues, I think that’d be a solid laptop because I’d be willing to live with the other drawbacks.

So with all that in mind, should you get the ZenBook Flip S OLED? Sure, if convertibles are your thing. Though one thing to keep in mind before you make your purchasing decision is the heat that it generates. If you’re fine with managing that, then its price of RM6799 is also just around the ballpark of what you’d expect from a convertible.

This is a very premium offering from ASUS, and the pricing does reflect it as well. For RM6199, you get a beautiful 4K OLED display in a 2-in-1 convertible form factor, I do think that it is quite a fair price to pay. Unfortunately it does seem that you will have to give up a bit of performance, as the ASUS ZenBook Flip S UX371 apparently doesn’t allow the 11th Gen Intel Core to deliver its fullest potential.

ASUS and their ZenBook variations never fails to confuse me. For instance, a ZenBook 14 laptop could have two or more different skus with just teeny weeny differences. Anyway, I digress. While ASUS could do a better job of segregating their line of notebooks, there's no arguing that their ZenBooks are some of the best around.

The Asus ZenBook Flip S (UX371) is slick, sturdy and stylish – plus it comes with a fantastic display and keyboard. It's a great mainstream hybrid, but rivals offer superior performance and better battery life.

With Thunderbolt 4 and a stunning screen the 2-in-1 ZenBook Flip S seems made for creatives, but bear in mind that peak performance is limited by the chassis design - and that there's no headphone jack.

Great looks with slim form-factor and an impressive performance with a decent battery life makes Asus ZenBook Flip S (UX371EA) a good business laptop. The device is portable enough and can be carried easily. What may not work in the favour is the laptop’s price. Asus ZenBook Flip S (UX371EA) falls in the territory of Apple MacBook as far as the pricing is concerned. Infact, it costs more.

In closing, if you need a laptop for office work but want it to be as premium as possible without jumping over to Mac or going with gaming options, the Zenbook Flip S is one of the top choices in the local market right now. If you need to save money, there’s a lot of other options out there but you’re losing an OLED screen as well as the premium build quality. The ASUS ZenBook Flip S is a great, ultracompact, that fits well with discerning creatives but fulfills the needs of anyone who needs a responsive, mobile computing platform for office and creative work on the go.

It squares off with Apple’s 12-inch MacBook Pro, which is priced slightly lower but comes with the newly launched MI processor. However, you won’t get a 4K OLED screen as exquisite as the one with the ZenBook Flip S. To conclude, if you are looking for a laptop that is premium and lightweight and can also be used as a tablet, then Asus ZenBook Flip S makes a very good option.

At Rs 1,49,990, the Asus Zenbook Flip S (UX371) is an all-rounder with something in store for everyone. It is one of those few laptops that work great for most tasks, whether work-related or entertainment. It has a premium design, great display, satisfactory keyboard and touchpad, and swift performance. The Dell XPS 13, which recently got upgraded with the 11th Gen Intel Core processor, seems to be the only laptop that works as well. Therefore, the ZenBook Flip S (UX371) makes a solid alternative to the Dell XPS 13 in the premium laptop segment for work and entertainment purposes, but not gaming.

This is a very premium offering from ASUS, and the pricing does reflect it as well. From what we know, it costs around $1500 (~RM6080). If you value a beautiful 4K OLED display in a 2-in-1 convertible form factor, I do think that it is quite a fair price to pay. Unfortunately it does seem that you will have to give up a bit of performance, as the ASUS ZenBook Flip S UX371 apparently doesn’t allow the 11th Gen Intel Core to deliver its fullest potential. Still, it is quite powerful as it is, so I guess it is acceptable. Its portability is also a strong plus in its favor, as it weighs just 1.2kg, glass screen cover and all. I do wish the keyboard was a bit more tactile, but overall, I would say that the ASUS ZenBook Flip S UX371 is definitely a strong contender for one of the best convertible laptops out there. Now to see how much will it cost once it arrives on our shores…

While there’s nothing major to complain about in the ZenBook Flip S, what many might not be able to wrap their heads around is the ₹1.5 lakh price tag. Considering you get slim laptops that perform well and have good screens at a lesser cost, in case of ZenBook Flip S you might be paying a whole lot of money for the convertible design, slim form factor and the ‘premium’ looks only.

This laptop is not designed for the faintest of heart. It has a stunning design, which screams, stay away from me, I am a busy guy (or woman). And nevermind any of the internals inside, if a notebook is not appealing on the outside, nobody would buy it. A further compliment from ASUS, to the people purchasing the ZenBook Flip S UX371, is the fact that it comes with a sleek leather protective case, some dongles, and a dedicated Pen.

To push that further, the Intel Evo ecosystem is looking quite well although we’re at an early stage, hardware developments are in the horizon to that experience further so for now, we’re slowly getting to that seamless experience that mobile phones offer. The ZenBook Flip S is looking strong in that front and I can’t wait to share with you the performance numbers once we get benchmarking this thing.

The convertible also features the NumberPad 2.0, an LED-illuminated numeric keypad integrated in the touchpad that makes up for the lack of physical numeric keypads in compact notebooks. A single-touch sensor at the top-right of the touchpad turns NumberPad on or off, and swiping from the top left icon in any direction on the NumberPad 2.0 activates the Calculator app on the main display. It's not a killer feature by any means, and for what it's worth I seldom turn NumberPad on. But it is there, and I'm sure there will be others who find this more useful than it did for me.

The ZenBook’s 4K OLED screen has great quality and it's crisper than the Walkers factory, the design is stylish and sturdy, and it serves up good battery life and reasonable performance. The keyboard and trackpad impress, too. It’s cheaper than most rivals with equivalent hardware: the Dell XPS 13 costs £1,624 exc VAT and £1,708 exc VAT in its laptop and hybrid guises and the MacBook arrives at £1,540 exc VAT. Only the Asus ExpertBook costs less, but it’s hindered by its poorer screen.

The Asus ZenBook Flip S has a lot going for it, namely its 4K OLED touchscreen display, its much-touted ‘Tiger Lake’ processor and an eye-catching build that doubles down on thinness and sleek angles. That display is a vibrant triumph, but its CPU fails to match many 10th Gen laptops in the same bracket and its battery isn’t tough enough for that gorgeous screen.

If you're after a well balanced 2-in-1 ultraportable laptop with a premium build, an OLED touch display, snappy everyday performance, and long battery life, this ZenBook Flip S is something you could consider. Just be aware that this is not without a couple of quirks, though, that you need to understand and accept before taking the plunge on it, even if you can find it for a fair price later on. We'll get in-depth in the review down below.

The Asus ZenBook Flip 13 leaves us with three strong impressions. The first two are the spectacular OLED panel (which we've already gushed over) and the CPU. Intel’s 11th-gen chips are impressive, even if they don’t knock out AMD’s Ryzen 4000. Multi-core performance could be better, but the single-core performance that represents most of what we'd do on a smaller laptop is strong. Throw in leading graphics performance and you can’t lose.

The ZenBook Flip S is a solid premium convertible laptop, with fast 11th-gen Intel hardware and a gorgeous 4K OLED screen. It’s a standout as one of the first Intel Evo machines, but be prepared to live with slightly thicker bezels than the competition, and the lack of a headphone jack.

I’ll just say this – if you’re looking to buy an ultrabook right now, then consider getting any of the latest ASUS ZenBook series of laptops with Tiger Lake chips. The 11th Gen Intel Core chipset is such a big upgrade over 10th Gen Intel Core chipsets.

When I started this ZenBook Flip S review, I was seriously impressed by its design and display, both of which I hope Apple learns from for its Apple Silicon MacBook Pro. But the more I tested the Flip S, I was underwhelmed by its performance, and wondered if Asus plans an AMD version in the near future.

ASUS packed all of these great features into a 2.65-pound package that looks great and feels great in the hand. All that's left to talk about is the pricing. Our review unit with the Core i7-1165G7, 16 GB of LPDDR4X-4266 memory, 1 TB of SSD storage, and that wonderful 13.3" OLED display, costs just $1,499 currently. For comparison, and even ignoring the latest generation of CPUs in the ZenBook Flip S, Dell's XPS 13 2-in-1 7390 in its closest configuration is $1,699. That system is also saddled with just half the storage of the ZenBook (and a non-OLED display), which underscores how much bang for the buck ASUS has going here, beyond just its Tiger Lake engine. For folks in the market for a lightweight 2-in-1 with the latest CPU tech, great battery life and a killer display, the ASUS ZenBook Flip S UX371 needs to be on your short list of systems to check out.

The $1,449 Asus ZenBook Flip S is a good showing for the future of computing according to Intel. Good, not great. Don’t get me wrong, with its stunning 4K OLED display and sublime, lightweight design, the Flip is an absolute head-turner. It’s got surprisingly powerful audio, a comfortable keyboard and solid performance. And that’s the problem. Thanks to the 4K panel and Asus going with a mid-level 11th Gen processor instead of one of the flagships, the Flip doesn’t get the chance to really shine the way you want it to against its peers. It’s a solid system for work, but with looks like this, you want more than solid.
