EN→DE Archive.org versionDespite the Asus U36S's speaker issues, this is an awesome machine. This ultraportable is attractive, slim, and light, and it has excellent battery life and good graphics. Plus, it has a bunch of little features you'll love: USB 3.0, Blu-ray Disc software, Bluetooth, and switchable graphics. Its performance isn't bad, either. Heck, if Asus could put some real speakers in this thing, it would basically be perfect.

EN→DE Archive.org versionThe ASUS U36S is an impressive notebook and easily a favorite sub-$1,000 ultraportable. It has a high-quality metal alloy chassis design and ultra-thin form factor. The keyboard has a good feel, the overall performance is great even for gaming, and again I can't stress just how thin and light this notebook is. Couple this with 8.5 hours of battery and it's hard to resist. A two-year warranty and USB 3.0 are icing on the cake. The ASUS U36S is highly recommendable to those searching for a well-rounded portable notebook with good quality and lots of battery life.

EN→DE Archive.org versionAll in all though, if it wasn’t for this matter, there would be nothing stopping me from making the U36SD an editor’s choice. It is a great looking device, solid built and with good performances and battery life, all these while offering a hard to beat price/features ratio. And there’s not much more you can ask from a fancy ultra-portable and you won’t find on this one, especially in the under $100o price range.

EN→DE Archive.org versionOverall, I am impressed with the Asus U30S and judging by the pictures, reviews and test results, you should probably be too. Looking forward to seeing a thinner Asus 13.3 incher without optical unit too, that might be the one for me, although the U30S is high in my tops as well.

Serie: Auffallend oft wird der Display schlecht bewertet bzw. beschrieben. Als zu dunkel und besonders spiegelnd wird er charakterisiert. PC Advisor spricht von "display anomalies", geht aber nur bzgl. Spiegelungen auf diese Beurteilung ein. Besonders positiv werden bei der U36 Serie meist die Mobilitäts-Eigenschaften hervorgehoben: die Kombination aus dünner Bauweise, geringem Gewicht und langer Akkulaufzeit. Ein spezieller Einsatzzweck dieser Modelle wären also Züge, Busse oder öffentliche Gebäude, häufige Wechsel zwischen mehreren Zimmern, nicht jedoch helle Gärten.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M: Einsteigergrafikkarte basierend auf den GF119 Chip (Fermi Ableger) mit 64 Bit Speicheranbindung oder den GF108 mit 128 Bit aber geringeren Taktraten.
Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.
